How Cruise Ship Cabins Are Changing to Better Serve Groups and Families

"Travelers who are heading out on their first post-pandemic cruise, whether as part of a typical group or as part of a large family reunion, will love that many of the newest ships have more connecting rooms. Carnival's Mardi Gras, launching this summer, has 300 pairs of connecting rooms and what the line calls "family cabins."

I had a blast on Mardi Gras! Bolt the roller coaster was fun, sea days with bingo, crafty time, towel animal creation and performances was just all wonderful! Bonsai Teppanyaki was the best along with Guys burgers and the steakhouse! Sea brunch was slow service but still good and steward was the best! We stopped at St Thomas, St Maarten, Puerto Rico, Amber Cove and Celebration Key and just had so much fun!

I'm going to make this short as possible, this boat will Nickel and Dime you the entire trip. Do Not pay to participate in any games they are rigged we found this out the hard way. The food resembles a college cafeteria buffet at best. The BEST thing about this cruise are the employees they are extremely nice and helpful. The 80's Dance night was SUPER and fun for ALL ages. This ship is huge you will get no where fast, try to use the stairs if possible. Celebration Key is AMAZING you will have lots of fun there, food choices are limited and expensive. If you have a inner cabin with no view, you will have a slight sewer smell coming from your air vents. This was a HOT TOPIC when sitting in jacuzzi. Do not buy any excursions thru Carinval Cruise Line, the mark up is a 100%. Walk off the ship and use the same people Carinval was going to refer you to for less the price COMPLETELY SAFE !!! Carinval will not refund you the difference I have an open case right now. I gave this 2 STARS because my pockets were bleeding, nothing is free on this ship. PLEASE reread your meal plan, you will have very limited meal choices, you aren't available to eat free at all places. Good Luck on your next vacation.

This cruise was absolutely amazing! I honestly did not take a lot of pictures cause I was too busy enjoying everything. The day before they will send a little bulletin into your room with everything that there is to do, you can also use the carnival hub app. There is always something to eat and always something awesome to do! The staff is absolutely amazing, especially the cruise director! Highly recommend! I am definitely going back!

This cruise ship was very enjoyable to vacation for a week-long trip. We had a good selection of excursions to choose for each destination (Nassau, Amber Cove, Grand Turk). Dining was very good, especially in the specialty restaurants. The service experience stood out for us; our Steward was very attentive to our needs while onboard. Overall, we enjoyed time to relax and particularly enjoyed the experience of watching the Super Bowl during the first Sea Day. We recommend this cruise ship to take a good vacation.

Beware: this is a teen cruise. Designed for families with teenagers. Very unorganized, as all the main things are very separated from eachother, for example food will be on deck, then pizza will be 4 floors below, then late night food will be a floor above the deck and all the way in the corner. Elevators are only accessible from the middle of the ship and needless to say are also moving 8 floors away and going the wrong direction due to random locations of everything and inaccessibility to any location on the ship without using their forced centralized middle ship stairs and elevator only traffic Very small rooms which are technically designed like barracks. But unironically I find this to be one of the least issues overall considering what there is to do in the rooms. Then also it’s up to you and your funds whether you can afford to room by yourself, and I don’t see an issue with the small size if you’re by yourself, a friend 2bed or partner. Also the balcony premium rooms are nice if you’d like to spend the extra Yes there is a nearly 18hr schedule of random activities, so id suggest it for couples. Definitely not a single adults cruise. Kids running up and down the stairs right next to the adult club because it’s close to the kids club and only 2-3 side bars with 1 main sports bar all the way in the back of the ship about a 150 yard walk/ steps from the deck and all the premium curtesy restaurants. 6floors away is a late night food section. Meaning that food urge you get from bars.. exactly. All in all this ship is NOT for young single adults, I am warning you now, this ship is a couples ship, target is age 40-70 and young couples with kids. The clubs are few and small. The bars are just walk up and very few. No central bar hangout. Pool is always full of kids on the main deck. Adults only is in a corner.. study the options before choosing !

Worst experience with carnival really trashy environment . We took the glory itcwas fun but dirty and everybody on bored got some kind of stomach 24 hours virus as soon as you got on the ship . We attributed it all to the ice and water or drinks with ice . But either way severely sicked 😫 the ship smelled like diarrhea i felt trapped and a antenndent stole 200.00 bucks out of my wallet I felt used trapped in on a ship with sick people the whole time .disgusted. The service was incredible though I can't take that away from them .

Here’s a vibrant review post you can use for your experience on the Carnival Mardi Gras: --- ✨ Just got back from an incredible journey aboard the Carnival Mardi Gras, and wow, what a ship! It truly felt like a 10-star resort hotel on the open seas. From the moment I stepped on board, I was greeted by stunning decor, luxurious amenities, and an atmosphere that exuded fun and relaxation. 🔷 The variety of dining options was amazing, each offering delicious meals that satisfied every craving. Whether it was casual bites or a more upscale dining experience, everything was top-notch! 🏊‍♀️ The pools and water slides were a hit, perfect for both relaxation and adventure. And the spa? Absolutely heavenly! 🎭 And let’s not forget the entertainment! From live shows to themed parties, there was never a dull moment. 🌟 Overall, the Carnival Mardi Gras exceeded all expectations. If you’re looking for a vacation that combines luxury with endless fun, this ship is the place to be! Can’t wait for my next cruise adventure!

Carnival Mardi Gras....Where do I start... This was my 4th Cruise and have been on some of the fleets much smaller ships...To me...this trip was by far the best to date.. The many choices of food venues whether you choose to eat the buffet on Lido Deck to spending a little more for Fahrenheit 555 Steak Restaurant which was fabulous... There is just about everything including Salad bars and more...My State Room was clean and cool and had plenty of room...There were a lot more choices for movies on the t.v. when relaxing in the room...The shows put on by the entertainment crews including Jacky Tang-Cruise Director who was awesome in his own being..Got questions...Just Ask...All in All...This was absolutely the best Cruise I've been on and looking forward to actually going back!!! If you find this information Helpful/Useful ....Please give me a like on this post
