Grilling it: 8 of the best barbecue restaurants in Singapore - SilverKris

"An authentic Brazilian churrasco experience set in a picturesque al fresco area of CHIJMES where servers carve grilled meats tableside from hefty skewers; expect classics like chicken wrapped in bacon, beef rump, roast pork belly and spicy house-made pork sausage, plus grilled caramelised pineapple and a range of sides. The restaurant operates on an all-you-can-eat format, so it’s best visited hungry and ready to feast." - Rachel Eva Lim

I visited the restaurant yesterday (Thursday) and enjoyed the 1-for-1 Buffet promotion with my DBS card. Reservations can only be made by phone or email. When I first called the restaurant number, no one picked up, but an employee kindly returned my call using his personal number to help me secure the booking. Really appreciate the effort—thank you, Peter. The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, and the staff as well as the chefs were very attentive. They kept recommending different cuts of meat and explaining what was special about each one. Even when I paused eating, they checked in politely to see if I wanted to try anything else. Drinks is ala-carte btw. Overall, it was a good dining experience with great service and friendly staff.

Booked a table for 5 for a family dinner partly enticed by DBS/POSB credit card offer (buy 1 get 1 free). The buffet spready wasn't very wide but the meat (chicken, pork, lamb, beef, sausages) which they served at your tables were pretty good. Dessert spread at the buffet table were a bit disappointing. Services is decent but the ambience was a little noisy & so not really a place for a quiet chat. I was sitting indoor so perhaps the al-fresco area may be better. May patronize again if similar offer are available.

Food is definitely good and really alot of varieties. Service is definitely good as the server will keep coming out with alot of varieties of meat to choose. They will keep asking you want more meat. Basically alot of food to eat. At the centre will have other selection like salads, nachos, mushroom soup and others. For drinks really alot of options from standard drinks to beer and wines. I tried the Belgium beer is really good. Overall worth it for 90mins buffet.

We’ve been to the restaurant’s previous outlets at Chijmes and Sunset Way, but those have since closed down. This is our first time dining at the Robertson Quay branch. The dining experience remains the same - cooks/servers bring various grilled cuts directly to your table, and there’s also a buffet spread featuring a variety of cooked dishes, condiments, and sauces. As someone who needs carbs with every meal, I was looking forward to some pasta, but garlic rice was the only option available that day. Not quite what I had in mind, but I made do. Haha. The grilled meats came fast and furious - before I knew it, I had a plate full of them. They were delicious. There’s also a seasonal special running from July to September: Barbecue Pork Ribs. This, along with Chicken Hearts, came rather late into our meal and only once, unlike the other meats that were served multiple times. Not sure why. I found the pork ribs tasty, but they were extremely salty - go easy on the salt, ok? 🙂 Overall, we enjoyed our meal and wouldn’t mind dropping by again sometime in the future.

The food was serve cold and the attitude of the waitress there was bad. The first meat they served was cold. the grilled pineapple was not grilled and cold. When this was feedback to the waitress, he brought us microwave pineapple. We had grilled pineapple before at the outlet at six avenue. It suppose to be warm and crispy outside and room temperature inside. These pineapple just hot from inside out,is so obvious that it is not torch but being heat up in whole. The serving attitude of the waitress was bad, they said we can order from them and hence I call the waitress over. Before I even finish ordering he turn and so ready to go off already. We feed back to the manager and he said he had no idea what the kitchen were doing. Very bad experience, will not come back again.

We had a 90-minute meal, but nearly half the time was spent just waiting. At the start, when the restaurant wasn’t crowded, service was attentive. However, once more customers came in, we were largely ignored. It wasn’t until I requested meat that the staff finally asked the chef to serve us. The meat itself was good. But If you want to enjoy more meat without frustration, I’d recommend coming before 7pm—otherwise, be prepared to be left sitting with little attention.

Over salty. I feel like a Sahara desert after meal and drank more than 1.5L of water in the 2 hours following that. Maybe they purposely make the meats more salty so people eat less and order more drinks. The pork belly and chicken thigh are good and quite popular, run out very quickly. The sides on table are decent, nothing to wow about. The food sequence is quite disorganised, popular items like chicken thigh do not appear often and the cheese breads are only serve at end of dinner. The pineapple which used to be a highlight is now served pale, dry, tough and very sour. I don’t think they are doing very well and the safra 50% could help them earn some future loyal customers but I doubt so.

Freshly prepared selection of quality meats Brazilian style. Food was constantly served with cooked food available at the side too. The 1 for 1 DBS / POSB deal is a must go. Made the meal even more worth the buck. Second visit there, and still enjoyed my time and the service.
