Carnmore Hotel Takapuna

Great Stay | Nice location | Amazing Staff I had a really great experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful from the start. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I also loved how nice everything looked. The facilities were excellent, and the General Manager Ajin was such a kind and helpful person. Housekeeping providing a fantastic service daily and they were friendly and made sure everything was perfect. Supermarkets and Restaurants are all just 10 min walk from the hotel. Thank you for the great service. I’ll definitely come back again.

Stayed at Carnmore Hotel Takapuna with my husband from 30 January 2026 thru 12 February 2026. We loved the attentive and personable services from all staff (from reception to room cleaning services). The location is within walking distance of everything that we need. The direct and short distance to the beach is a huge plus. The room is spacious, clean, and the ability to get outside breeze and sunlight was refreshing. We loved having a wrap around balcony. We were in a quiet room. The price was reasonable. The style of the building is very attractive. On site laundry room is also a plus! Originally we planned to stay until 9 February; but we ended up extending our stay for 3 more days! We totally enjoyed our stay at Carnmore Hotel Takapuna! It was a great hospitable experience! My spouse and I will recommend this hotel to everyone!

Lovely reception who were very helpful. Good to have laundry on-site. There is a pool and fitness area but I did not use either. Large rooms with air-conditioning, but if you want to watch television then the connections are not stable. It is an easy walk to and from the beach and to and from Takapuna, with a good variety of places to eat. It is also convenient for the bus to Auckland, and only a 30 minute walk (or you could take a bus) to the Tuff Crater Park Run. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed for two nights after travelling from London while waiting in Auckland for our luggage, which had been left behind in Doha. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive and friendly, with special thanks to Ajin. The welcoming brownies were a lovely ( and delicious) touch. Overall, it was a very pleasant and stress-free stay during an otherwise inconvenient situation.

Stayed here a number of times now. Quiet, comfortable and clean hotel. Staff have been accommodating too when arrival was past checkin hours. Great service. Easy 5 stars..

Easy to find. Rooms are spacious, clean & set out rather nicely. 5 min walk to the beach. 10 min walk to the shopping centre.

Such a sweet spot! Warm welcome, friendly helpful staff! Rooms, are nicely done - spacious, modern and comfortable - really enjoyed the Spa bath in the room I had & the shower was massive! Has a spa, a gym, a pool for the warmer months and is only a 5 min walk to the beautiful beach and lots of cafes & restaurants near by - highly recommend!

Great clean hotel within easy walking distant of Takapuna shops and restaurants. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
