Ancient architectural elements are beautifully coordinated with contemporary design, creating a cozy hotel that blends history with modern comfort.
From the start I was so impressed with the fantastic connection between old and a new world.
2000 years of history, the elements of it, incorporated into daily living with added minimalistic design and creating elegant and comfortable spaces.
This hotel was dripping in history, but at the same time was very light and welcoming.
We stayed in two rooms. I really wanted to experience it, and decided to change the room throughout our stay.
The attic room, with sloped ceiling and exposed wooden beams was very atmospheric and had lots of charm.
Spa style bathtub open into the room looked very inviting. It had separate, walk in shower too.
At night we could hear the rain on the roof tiles and that felt very relaxing.
Our room rate didn’t include the breakfast, but we decided to experience it.
The service was fantastic, very friendly.
Breakfast room was/is beautiful. Ancient wall, which divided old town centuries ago, was in the middle of the room. So you could seat on the ‘inside’ of the town or ‘outside’.
We didn’t dine in the restaurant (spoiled for choices), but the layout, minimalistic design looked very inviting. Next time!
Service in the hotel, was brilliant. Nothing seems to be a problem. We can be demanding, but we felt at ease straight away.
Complimentary tea and coffee is worth mentioning (great selection).
Morning coffee delivered to our room or a nightcap was a great touch.
Hotel is located in a quiet street in old town, short walking distance to all the major sites.
Perfect.
