Best staff in Augusta, Georgia. Very clean restaurant inside and on the patio. Very relaxing, comforting, and warm atmosphere. Winter is my favorite time. If you have not tried the nachos, I suggest you do so. No where do you get the flavor marinated in the beef or chicken whichever you choose. Or no meat at all they still deliver exceptional pub quality. The meatballs are the best I've ever had in Augusta. That include Italian restaurants. They are a limited time. So go in and try them out. They would make a great meatball sub on ciabatta. These meatballs are way to delicious to stop. And the grouper fingers are so delicious. Fried in a delectable batter. Then there is the salmon 😋 😍 👌🏽. O.k. I could keep going. I love this restaurant. Everything about it. Unbeatable prices and consistent management. Please keep the meatballs and pasta dishes. Great for winter hearty meals.😋😋😍😄

Food quality is 10/10, the size on the cheese curds was 1/10 which is sad because they were amazing. Burger was cooked perfectly and the tenders with the honey mustard were the best ive had in a long time(1 tender was more of a nugget than a tender though). Our server while she did a good job unfortunately smelled very strongly of Body Odor.

This place was absolutely amazing! I had a pickup order, and the bartender greeted me with a smile. I then realized I needed some ketchup, and one of the waitresses was sitting down eating lunch on her own time. She stopped eating and kindly went to get me some ketchup, which I thought was really nice. The best part of all was the cheesesteak — it was the best one I have ever had! I believe the manager’s name was Susan. Great job to you and your staff!

First timer.....The food was good, nothing that made it better than any other, but good. Sat at the bar and had Kim (I think that was it) as my bartender and she was awesome. Super sweet and really cute. I did like the atmosphere with all the TVs and music. I'll be back and hope if not Kim, someone just as pleasant will be my bartender/server

We had a fantastic dining experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to our waitress, Danielle. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being overbearing. She knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out exactly right. Our drinks were always refilled, timing was perfect, and she checked in just enough to make us feel taken care of. Danielle’s positive attitude and professionalism truly elevated the meal and turned a great dinner into a memorable experience. Service like hers is the reason we can’t wait to come back.

Lovely waitress, pool table, they let us bring our traditional sword for cake slicing that we do for birthdays. Staff were great, food was delicious, service was swell. 10/10

Mrs. Weezie is amazing, polite, kind, friendly, dedicated and driven to provide outstanding customer service to her customers. Her personality is one to be admired and praised. She truly deserves a big bonus and raise. She also deserves a humanitarian award for her impeccable leadership and hospitality. My experience her at Carolina Ale House was more than outstanding. In addition, Serenity was very kindhearted, patient, friendly and provided excellent customer service as well. I would highly recommend this Carolina Ale House as a 10 out of 10.

My bf and I ordered Grouper and Shrimp, Pub burger, Cobb salad, and French onion soup. Not one dish wasn’t enjoyable. Everything was good! We definitely will be back. Service was excellent.

We found this place through Google Maps rather than Yelp, and honestly--I'm so glad we did. I have no idea why the Yelp rating isn't higher, because this was a solid five-star experience across the board! We started with the fried cheese curds (yes, I insisted), and even my skeptical husband admitted they were excellent. The pepper jelly dipping sauce gave them the perfect sweet-and-spicy balance. He ordered the garlic parmesan wings, which he rated 8 out of 10--though I should note that I'm pretty sure his personal rating scale tops out at 8. He would've preferred a dry rub, but still gave them a thumbs up. I had the blackened chicken with shrimp, served over rice and beans with a crema sauce. I usually avoid blackened dishes for fear of too much heat, but this had just the right amount of kick. It was flavorful and well-balanced, and I'd absolutely order it again. To top it off, they had a great beer selection. I had the Mango Cart, a wheat beer with a bright, fruity flavor--super refreshing. Service was fantastic, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was relaxed and welcoming. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and we're already planning to come back. Don't let the low Yelp score fool you--this place is a keeper!

Not very busy the day we went in, service was slow, food was subpar, the men's room was a disaster, felt like I needed shots after leaving, appears there has been no maintenance or cleaning for 25 years!!

We had our Company Christmas party here. Taylor was our server and she was great. She was very attentive to the entire party and made us all feel welcome. The food was awesome as well. If you are in town and want a good meal with a great atmosphere and service, I recommend you eat here and ask for Taylor as your server. You will not be disappointed.

Came here late night like 11pm...? And they weren't as busy as twin peaks. It's like a tavern, have an outdoor bar, perfect to watch sport games or hang out with friends late night. They have the typical American food menu, and it hits right at the right time. I got their espresso martini, and it definitely took a while for it to come out. My friends had already ordered their food and gotten their drinks, while I was still waiting for mine. Granted, they did have a decently packed bar, but had 3-4 people working the bar. Overall, would come back for convenience and affordable meal.

California Ale House located on Robert C Daniel Augusta, GA Food: We ordered the Brisket Quesadilla and Chicken Cobb Salad. The Cobb Salad was delicious and fully involved including four (4) huge chicken tenders. The Quesadilla was cheesy and loaded with brisket, all the fixings came on the side nevertheless delicious Carolina Hurricane and Budweiser Service: Great service Ambiance: Sports Bar, TV's around the entire establishment. Just stopped in for some appetizers during lunch and had a great time, the host was great and fun to chat with as it was slow in the restaurant. Food came out quickly and quantity and quality for what you get is great! There is so many amazing food option to get something different each time, look forward to coming back soon.

While the reviews are average I actually really enjoyed Carolina Ale House. It's your typical spot where there's a selection of American food and drink options. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as an outdoor bar. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed the breeze. I ordered the Cobb salad which was way better than I expected it to be. It looked just like the picture on the menu - which is rare nowadays! Service was quick and typical for this type of spot. Would return when back in the area.

I can't say enough good things about everyone at The Augusta Carolina Ale House. Everyone there has treated me so well. I have spent almost every single Football Sunday there for the past 8 years and their game day experience is second to none in the CSRA! They have several groups watch out of market games together and it truly makes for a wonderful sports bar atmosphere. I also go during the week sometimes if I am craving the wings and it has more relaxed vibe good for families, dates, or business meetings. The food is also amazing! Personally I think they have the best wings in Augusta with their Signature Dry Rub! (hint-ask for them to be a little crispy if you like the outside to have a little crunch) My go-to's on this menu are the aforementioned wings, patty melt, and the fish-n-chips. Oh... I almost forgot about the beer selection! They have a TON of beer, and they'll let you sample to see what you like! I wish that yelp would let me give 10 stars, because this place earned it!

On a work trip and a coworker picked this place to meet for dinner. Quickly checked it out here on Yelp! and while I wasn't thrilled by the reviews or the overall rating, I also just didn't wanna be difficult so I went expecting mediocrity, hoping for better, but alas mediocrity is what I got. Overall the place is pretty big with plenty of tables, and the servers were friendly. But they weren't very busy around 5:30 on Tuesday night so that jives with the rating. I opted for the Brisket French Dip instead of the Smashburger based on the servers recommendation and I should not have listened. The brisket was pretty chewy and just not very good. Flavor was decent and the French onion soup that came with it for dipping really wasn't bad, but the sandwich itself was a flop. Someone else got the Grouper Fingers & he said they were good and another got the Cobb salad which was massive, with a very generous pour of wine.

My family and I have had the pleasure of dining at Carolina Ale House several times over the past couple of months. The food and drinks are consistently delicious, and the overall atmosphere at Carolina Ale House is always upbeat and inviting. Each time so far, we've been lucky enough to be served by Lance. He is amazing! Lance is a true people person--warm, personable, and always ready with a smile. He goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and taken care of, and it doesn't go unnoticed. Not only is he incredibly attentive to his tables, but I've also observed how supportive he is with his fellow team members. He clearly cares about creating a great experience for everyone, not just his own guests. On one occasion when there was a small issue with our order, Lance handled it quickly and proactively, turning it around with professionalism and kindness. While we always enjoy the food and atmosphere, the service we've received really stands out, and I wanted to make sure that Lance is recognized for his hard work. He takes an already great experience and makes it outstanding, enhancing every visit. You've got a real gem in Lance--hang on to him! We look forward to coming back again soon and hope to see him and continue to enjoy the top quality food and service, when we do!

Use to be a nice place. I use to like the restaurant, but it has gone down immensely. I ate there last night and the service was not very good. I ended up becoming sick from the food I ate from there last night. I call to complain, and the manager explained that she couldn't do anything. I have no proof that her food made me sick. She is correct in that matter. I just will never eat here again.

The restaurant and restroom were clean. The menu good sized. Our waitperson was very good and friendly. Being St. Patrick's Day the beer was green. The menu is large and easy to read. The portions were large and the french fries actually good. I was offered a receipt which I'm finding is a lost option these days...

Food was absolutely abhorrent. We ordered the fried pickles to start; they were excessively salty and had dirty oil in the bottom of the bowl. My wife and my dad both got salads. Both were made of ingredients that appeared to be prepped days ago. I got the fried honey Buffalo wings, which were also excessively salty. And the garlic mashed potatoes I got for my son were brown. When we asked why, the server told us they were burnt. The service was not much better. Our server did not know much. She got the soup of the day wrong. She didn't know if the chicken on the salads could be Buffalo style. When we asked for the manager, she was rude and defensive. I will never go back to this restaurant.

Great service, amazing food, clean good smelling restaurant. Ill be back for sure. Salad was 2 meals for a normal person or to be shared.

Very disappointed after hearing so much about this place. Came at 10:12 pm stayed at the host station for over 5 minutes as the hosted came b 3 times as well as a waitress and know one greeted us. I went to the bar and asked for the manager he acted nonchalantly when I asked where they closed because it was more wait staff than customers and know one greeted us. His response was uh uh then he disappeared no apology nothing need less to say they want get my money or any good reviews from me

Came here with my family for a night out! Really great service and awesome food! I got the southwestern burger, which was really great! I don't think it was super unique or special, but it was a well made, very standard burger, and I can't fault that! Everyone loved their food, and we had a great night. The drinks were also well made, and very fun! Definitely recommend this place for a fun and tasty evening.

My server courtney ward gave me and my family TERRBILE service and was rude and had a attitude to my CHILDREN and I have never had a problem like this at Carolina ale house and I hope they can address this issue with Mrs courtney

So my family is new to Augusta and decided to to give this place a try. I was under the assumption that this place had some overall pretty decent food and ambiance. It unfortunately was much like an Applebees is nowadays, but slightly more pricey (not expensive, just more than Applebees). You could tell that a long time ago this place was awesome, but that was a long time ago. It feels sorta feels and looks like an empty shell. Food was fine nothing to rave about. Their menu is pretty simple offering your Americans Staples. They were out of multiple beer's that were still on their beer menu. Which kinda defeats the purpose of going here vs going to an Applebees. Overall, if you're new around here and are looking for an affordable meal at an old bar style restaurant. Save the few bucks and go to Applebees, or go to Whiskey bar downtown for drinks. Trust me.

They used to have WiFi and it was decent enough that there were folk that would come in, grab a meal, drink a few beers, and get some work done before sticking around and having a few more beers. Those days ended a few months ago when Corporate decided it would rather lose that easy business and stress management with even thinner margins than invest a few dollars to fix the WiFi. In retrospect, that's the decision they make about anything that breaks here. Food's alright I guess, but if the grill breaks, I doubt they'd fix it.

Bar was stellar as always, Jordin was amazing as always, and makes some killer spicy margs!

Food was very good but waited at least 25 minutes for an appetizer (spinach dip) which came nearly along with the burger but we said not to bring both at the same time.

Ale yeah! Another solid experience at Carolina Ale House. The bartender let me use his shiny bald head as a mirror so I could clean the chicken out of my teeth. Buffalo Wild Wings' bartenders won't do that for you. Only reason I'm not giving a 5-star review is b/c the spicy marg wasn't as spicy as expected. You know those times when a waiter oversells their hottest wing sauce? (they say it's super hot, but it's really just hot). This was sorta like that. No matter. I'll be back. Might stick with a beer next time, though.

Insert the Price is Right fail horn noise. My fiance and I visited this restaurant earlier this week for dinner. Almost everything about the experience was sad. Our server was nice, hence the two stars. I remember reading somewhere that the condition of a bathroom is a good indicator of how well the restaurant is run. In this case, that was correct. I went into the bathroom to remove my invisalign trays and there was a really funky smell. Not the usual bathroom smell, but it smelled weird. I can't explain it. We ordered a few appetizers and burgers, along with a few drinks. The drinks were decent, which is where the other star comes from. Our food took FOREVER to come out. Our entrees came out RIGHT after our appetizers, which is one of my biggest dining out pet peeves. The wings and fried pickles actually had a decent flavor, but ALL of our food was cold. Glad I'm not vegan, because there was a random chicken tender thrown in with the fried pickles (bonus, I guess? Too bad it was cold). I could tell something was going on in the kitchen, because I kept seeing servers standing by the kitchen with that "Hurry up y'all are messing with my tips" death glare. The coup de grace - my burger and vegetables. I ordered the burger medium. This looks like school lunch cafeteria done. And the vegetables look like they are crying. No self respecting cook would have put those vegetables on a plate and tried to serve them. I guess the cook didn't care because these vegetables look sad and miserable. And they didn't have A LICK of seasoning on them. Not nan stitch. Even the water served with the meal was bad. The glasses/plasticware tasted like dish water. Ughhhhhhhhhh. We eventually ended up speaking to the manager, and I found out that apparently the kitchen had been screwing up all night. He seemed nice and understanding, and ended up taking most of the food off our bill. I don't think I'll be back. Jon Taffer needs to stop in and pay them a visit.

First off, i ordered chicken alfredo which was not brought out until everyone else was already finished with their food. I was not offered a free drink or desert as expected with the long wait and I felt too bad to ask. The pasta noodles were hard and still hadn't been cooked enough. None of the food stood out to anyone. The service was okay. This is our second visit here and we will not be returning.

I believe the Carolina Ale House is a chain, but this is my first experience at the restaurant off of Wheeler Road. There are two entrances. One is the main front door and the other is the side door for the 2nd bar area of the restaurant. Sitting at the 2nd bar area, the service can be hit or miss. I noticed several waitresses/servers trying to find out where to deliver people's food. I noticed our table did not have a server or anyone who came by to help us. Our party consisted of 7 people, with four people who had already started eating and drinking. I had to go up to the bar repeatedly to order a drink. The late-night vibe had a band playing out in the 2nd bar area. Overall this is a typical chain restaurant. The location is at the corner of Wheeler Road. Across from the Best Buy and Chic-fil makes it an easy place to get to from the interstate.

Troy was amazing! We had a party of 9 and he was ON TOP OF IT! Super funny and the service/food was great!

Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon (3-4 pm) with a party of 3. Service was quite slow from waiting to be seated (when there was no line at all) and finally being seated waiting for the waitress to return to take our orders. Overall the food left much to be desired. They do offer a plant based section with three items (using Gardein chick'n products) but each of the items has a egg and/or dairy item with it which means if you're vegan you'll definitely need to make a few adjustments. They have a beyond meat burger too but again if you're vegan, you'll have to make the same adjustments. However for non-vegans, the others in my party thought the food was okay but would not recommend. It took forever to get the check at the end. Would not return.

Sophia made the whole experience memorable! Amazing serving the food came out perfectly and she created the perfect ambiance. I really enjoyed her suggestion of getting the plant based zingers with the general tso's which accommodated my vegan diet! I'd put 6 stars if I could!

We converge upon this establishment for football Saturday. Excellent food. Excellent service. Management so accommodating. However. Do not ask for a shot of Patron, $12 for .5oz. A little pricy.

Jordin and Peter are hands down the best bartending combo in the state of Georgia. If you have not been here for the J&P experience you are missing out.....The amount of enthusiasm that Jordin and Peter have when serving you is literally intoxicating their prompt response and attention to detail is unmatched. GET. HERE. NOW ! You will leave with a smile on your face and song in your heart.

Everyone was nice at the bar, except one woman bartender. She seems to have some kind of attitude towards me. I ordered a single well liquor drink, and they charged me for a double. I ordered the grilled wings with barbeque sauce. I noticed there were no napkins when the wings were served. I tried to get the bartender's attention, she said, "Lick it off with your fingers". Do not expect any nice customer service from the woman bartender who is there during closing hours.

We stopped here at the spur of the moment after summer local shopping in the area. We just needed refreshing and and an late afternoon meal. Very friendly staff upon entering as well as attentive and friendly servers/service. We ordered a fish and chips meal and chicken tenders meal. Both were cooked perfectly, not overdone, and came out hot. The coleslaw was very good! IMO most restaurants coleslaw is either a win or lose. Carolina Ale house was a win for us! The meal hit the spot as everything was hot and fresh. The prices are quite reasonable too. We decided we would definitely return to take in a sports game here as this place is loaded with big screen TVs about theater screens--you can possibly see from any angle! First time here and we enjoyed it.

Greeted warmly by Kat and Bri as soon as I sat at the bar. I had the urge for a spicy pineapple margarita, which Bri made to perfection. My steak tacos were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Customer service from Bri and Kat were top-notch and I look forward to a return to this environment of good vibes, good food and good drink. Well-done!

I haven't eaten at Carolina Ale House in about a year. Overall the food was good, the restaurant was clean, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend the artisan five cheese blend spinach dip. It was hot, cheesy, very delicious and flavorful. I like that it comes with pita bread and tortilla chips. It's definitely worth trying again. For my entree I ordered the barbacoa tacos. It had a little spice, but I don't eat a lot of spicy food so for some it may not have enough. I loved the pickled onions.

At the OFFICIAL DALLAS COWBOYS bar in Augusta. Half the restaurant is empty. Half of it is filled with Cowboy fans . . I ordered the 3 fish tacos and water (refilled twice). Asked for the bill . . They charge a 2% Credit Card Fee AND a WHOPPING 20% Large Party Fee . . That's ridiculous. IMAGINE IF I ORDERED ALCOHOL!!!! This restaurant is half empty & u charge folks around 22% fee to watch their team EVERY 7 days. Ridiculous! Do better Carolina Ale House

Freida (if that's her name)... = WORST. BARTENDER. EVER! She didn't even attempt to make it seem like she likes her job or wants to be there. Had us clean the bar ourselves. Told us items were unavailable that actually were available. Never checked on our food so my fiancé waited over 45 minutes to get his food. (I got mine 30 Minutes before him) Didn't do a check back. My sandwich was rang in wrong. Never offered more drinks or refills. Then complained about the bar being busy. Stating, and I quote: "I just want everyone to check out and leave." I guess she's not in the business to make money. Most certainly not to provide service. Just horrible! Thank goodness for Jeremy who actually stepped in to assist us in the end. Unlike her, he seemed to actually want to do his job. I stop in this restaurant at least once a week when in town visiting family. It will be a long time before I return, if ever.

Haven't been here in a while but i came by and stopped for a bite to eat, it was late and they were still open. They have good food and great staff and service I had the nachos they were the biggest I've ever had.!

Weezy service was excellent. Food was excellent. First time eating at Carolina Ale House. We will be back to see Mrs Weezy and company.

We took a large group of boys and sat at two tables. The boys had their separate tickets and me and another mom had our own. The boys got their food quickly and it took an extra 30 minutes or more after theirs for us to get ours (a salad and bowl only) I ordered the grilled chicken shrimp bowl and when it arrived the chicken was raw and when I told the waitress after waiting to find her she went to the manager and took the meal off. She never offered me anything else nor offer to take my blueberry lemonade off as compensation for the trouble. She then charged me for 3 boys at the table when they had already paid. ($75) We waited over 30 minutes to get the check for the other mom and fix the error because I had been double charged and she never showed even after asking for a manager. We waited another 15 minutes- We left cash on the table because we are honest people and even though we didn't need to leave anything since we double paid we didn't wanna dine and dash - very disappointing to get double charged especially since I didn't even get to eat dinner. It was after 9:45pm and we had been there since 7:15. won't go back for awhile

I ordered a plain queso dip and a Cobb salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The lettuce that was supposed to be a salad was soggy and hot; avocado was brown, tomato unripe, there was three eggs worth of scrambled egg, litterally 10 corn kernels and the chicken was plentiful but had a lot of grizzle. The Balsamic vinaigrette was 99% oil with no seasoning, no herbs, no salt, and with the absolute tiniest amount of vinegar possible; just enough to be called a vinaigrette and not to add any flavour. The queso would have been awesome if there was anything to eat with it (chips, crackers, bread,fries, etc) or a warning that the queso is a lone dip for forks and fingers.
