Carolina Egg Gasthaus

This is a little paradise in Oxapampa; the grounds are gorgeous and the cabins are beautiful with modern, clean bathrooms and outside kitchennettes. The staff are so nice, the breakfast was tasty, and it's so conveniently located close to the central bus station. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Definitely recommended! Location is perfect--very close to the bus station, a 10 minute walk from the main plaza, steps away from the road leading to the national park. Yet the gardens make it feel like you're in the middle of the country, removed from it all. Rooms are comfortable, and each comes with a front porch to relax on (could be improved with the addition of hammocks, just saying...). Breakfast in the morning is delicious! And the staff is friendly and helpful. Didn't try the pool (was cool and rainy while we were there), but we loved the nightly bonfire and stopped by to enjoy its warmth one night!

We adored it here. The gardens are beautiful and all the staff are super helpful and friendly. It’s located really close to the bus station, which was particularly useful in the rain! We loved the peace and tranquility and they had some super recommendations for things to do, where to eat etc. one thing I would maybe have liked would be a few more places to sit and relax around the gardens - maybe a hammock? We wanted to do a few things independently so maybe some more information about how to get places and see things without necessarily paying for tours would be helpful. Overall a wonderful, beautiful, tranquil and relaxing place in the most beautiful and clean place in Peru. I particularly loved their focus on sustainability and recycling. Awesome complex in the heart of Oxapampa with a convenient walk to restaurants and a tienda next door (though the cabins were nice and quiet). Cute cabins in great shape, nice and clean, very good breakfast, heated pool, nightly fire pit, kids area, helpful front desk staff. Pets allowed! Enjoyed our time there!

We stayed recently at the Carolina Egg Guesthouse in Oxapampa.||The price was very fair, with breakfast included, so to be frank, we didn't expect much. Situated right in town, less than 5 minutes from the bus station, the guest house is set in its own grounds, full of flowers and fruit trees.||It has a very small pool, in a sun spot, so the water is not cold.||The rooms were modest, but clean, with a TV, and a shower with hot water between certain hours. Outside the room was a communal fridge, kettle and microwave.||Breakfast was really excellent, with fresh local products.||People working in the restaurant were really kind. Our experience exceeded expectations in terms of price / value and we will go back I'm sure.|||

This is a quaint, beautiful hotel. The breakfasts are delicious. We really enjoyed making s’mores in the bond fire they light every night. I highly recommend this place. The staff was courteous and helpful. Amazing service comparable to a five star property. Loved it!

It looks nice and comfortable, it is plenty of vegetation and outdoors, pet lovers may love it, because they allow those cute creatures in this place. There was an issue that I hated, there are specific hours for water, so there is not water the whole day! You may need to take in consideration this thing.

Love this place! My husband and I always stay here when visiting Oxapampa. We came back after the pandemic (2022) and everything looked as we remembered. ||||The only two changes were, the napkins and toilet paper (terrible quality. I mean they felt a part every time I touched them. LOL) and a lady staring at us at all time. After a few days, I asked who she was. We learned that she was one of the managers. Besides that, everything was good.
