Carolina Public Beach

The beach was great and clean and the water was clear and warm but the crowds here get heavy and very very ghetto. Cops routinely patrol here on land and in sea. Parking available as well as restrooms. Food and drinks are available at little stands on the beach.

A great, clean, and calm beach. Family friend, life guard is on duty and security going back and forth . Plenty of restrooms, showers - not entirely clean but good they are there. There are rentals available for umbrellas, beach chairs, and 8x8 canopies.

By far not the best beach we visited whilst in Puerto Rico, but our first beach. And it was amazing. All were amazing. This one was quiet, didn’t have any cafes or bars on it but the water was beautiful, the sand clean, and there were shelters should you require them.

Got there around 10am. Paid $5 for the parking. The insects at the beach were hungry: very annoying. After a half hour, they went away. Water temperature was great. Really enjoyed a peaceful time.

Very well maintained beach the waves were not to big, there was lots of shade and it was cleaned there are rental umbrellas and chairs but the price is basically the same as buying your own the umbrella is $15 and chair $10, the showers did not work neither was there any food places so bring your own snacks. Over all its a pretty good family friendly beach

Great beach for the family. Bathrooms and showers close by, always clean and fully functioning. For an additional price they have a kids type water playground. Limited to an hour or so, not sure exactly. When I went it was $4 but prices can change. Plenty of parking. You can also rent pop up canopies, beach umbrellas and beach lounge chairs. They will go to the spot of your choice and set it up so that it will not blow away. I do recommend some type of shade as not very much.

Bathrooms (that were clean), showers, chair and umbrella rentals ($5/chair and $15/umbrella), lifeguards, and security! Who knew you could find all these things in one beach?!? This beach was wonderful, and I expect to return! The only complaint I have is that you have to buy drinking water; there are no fountains.

This is located in La Isla Verde beach in San Juan Puerto Rico. I was there visiting the island and we spent a few hours at the beach. It was a nice warm day and the water was nice and the beach was not too busy. We found a spot and enjoyed our time there. About the only thing I had an issue with was the trash and things just thrown on the beach. Lots of plastic items and food just tossed about while there are trash cans readily available. Such a nice place and sad to see that kind of thing going on. Overall it's a nice beach and we had a great time there. Found lots of shells and sand dollars and got a nice burn. I would suggest a trip there if you get a chance.

A really nice beach with a concession stand with great food and drinks. The water is really clean. You need to be somewhat careful the waves can be a bit strong. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas. Generally a nice place to enjoy the beach with plenty of parking space.

Of you want to go to the beach in Isla Verde but can't find parking, this is a good option. There is plenty of parking here for a flat fee of $5. Mins you this beach is popular and can get crowded. You have beach tennis and volleyball courts on one end and the Aquasol Carolina Water Park on the other end. There are plenty of gazebos you can reserve, which is nice if you have a party or big group. We headed over to the water park and then the area of the beach closest to it. Not the best spot but we still had a good time. Because the beach is near the airport you'll get to see and take pics of planes taking off. On the far right of the balneario is a grassy area. There is plenty of space there if you want to fly a kite, throw around a football or frisbee, or even play some soccer. There is also a giant colorful elephant statue. I like that this beach has lifeguards. I also like there are efforts made to keep people for drinking from glass bottles on the beach. Nothing worse than broken glass hidden in the sand. There were officers patrolling the the beach and they are nice about it. Instead of dishing out fines, they'll ask you to put the bottles away. One of the officers was extra cool and let our kid get on the 4 track for some pictures. As for food, we brought our own so I didn't venture off to look for kiosks but I'm sure they were around. At least the water park has a snack bar.

Honestly, the beach is not that great. It's ok. There are far better beaches in Isla Verde. Vacía talega in Piñones is also really nice. The advantage this beach has is the parking. It also has the Aquasol water park for kids. The water park is the best reason to come here.

Loved the food loved the show we went day before to see Barrachina show food nor show was as good and it was more $$ Highly recommend large party or small. From there nice walk on Paseo te la Princess and stop at Rums of Puerto Rico

This HUGE public beach has lifeguards, bathhouses, shelters for rent, and low-cost parking. The sand is has some litter laying around from heavy weekend use, but is very soft (few rocks). Leave the boogie boards at home if this is your destination - the lifeguards don't allow them.
