horrid they smoke like a chimney choking all the animals. made me sick to my stomach !!! close them down !!!

Manager is so nice. The place is really clean. They have bird cages, food, and treats. They have cages for hamsters, turtles, and guinea pigs. They also have birds and sometimes guinea pigs.

Man annoys me he changes his prices on me every damn time. Never consistent. Sometimes He has Animals There he shouldn't even selling anymore. I have to Go in every time For One thing and it varies every time

Great place and friendly owner. I usually stop in once a month for bird supplies and have bought a Lovebird there. Highly recommended!

I love this store very affordable vaccinations and I have 2 very healthy kitties ! Going to send my mom over tomorrow and get her cat vaccinated!

I practically bought every bird product they had here lol Jose is great. Lots of grape wood and manzanita branches great prices!!

It's nice. Sometimes the place is a bit messy but the owner witch is an old man is also cleaning when he's alone. I also see him give fruits and veggies to the animals. The only problom is that they don't sell dogs are cats anymore because of some laws. Also the birds like to make a mess. Most of the time there's someone cleaning but he's just there for most days. Somtimes he's open on Monday since he has to feed the animals. He's freindly. We also wears he's mask but somtimes he doesn't have it on when he thinks he's alone. They don't really go up and help you unless you ask though.

Stay away from this place unless you want to get lied to. I bought two cockatoos from here and I was told that one was a male and the other was a female. I took them to a vet and he told me that they're actually both females! My plan was for them to hatch eggs. Waste of money!

I been taking my bulldog there for over 2 years now. I love how they treat and take care of my dog like if it was one of theirs. Been a loyal customer ever since. And always support your local businesses. Definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

It was my first time here and I came based on a recommendation. The staff -which consisted of an older couple- were pleasant administered my puppy's second set of shots. It was very affordable, (in my opinion at least) and will allow you to bring your pet as a walk-in. The shop was clean and didn't have any typical pet foul odors. The couple is primarily Spanish speaking, however they speak English as well.

On the date of of my first visit and only purchase last year, Carol's Pet Center appeared clean inside and I observed many other birds and pets that appeared to be active and healthy. That said, ownership may not have known -- and I certainly did not know despite decades of pet ownership experience -- that it violates California law to sell an unweaned exotic bird. Only after it was too late, and I lost my small parrot to respiratory failure despite spending over $600 in veterinary visits within days of purchase, did I learn that California law calls for pet/exotic birds to be fully capable of eating on their own for no less than two weeks prior to sale -- and for good reason. (For more information, Google "California assembly bill 202 exotic bird".) In summary, while the shop owner attempted to make right, what I really hope came of this experience is a decision to offer only fully weaned pets, including birds, for sale here. It's the right thing to do for pets and people alike.

I been to other grooming places, I rather come here, I always end up coming back, it's fast and I know my dog gets treated right

I bought a puppy there for $300 dollars, the older man told me the dog was a toy poodle, but now that we're down the road of time, I realized I got ripped off because not only is my dog NOT a TOY poodle but he has mainly terrier in him and is 25 lbs and still growing. I asked if he was sure he was a toy because he had no proof of the parents for display and now I'm stuck with a dog that's extremely hyper, stubborn, chews up everything, and doesn't listen, that's where the terrier personality comes in. I will never come here again. The man pretty much lied to me and not only that he doesn't care for his animals right. He takes care of the animals better off than some places but to put a small puppy in a wire cage with the legs falling thru is not proper care, reptiles not in correct cages with correct lighting, etc. although I had to learned to deal with my dog and love him, I wish I can get my money back for such a lie he told me, I paid for a TOY, not a terrier mix

I bought a puppy from here who was supposedly a Pomeranian Poodle, as said by the owner. After taking her to the vet and as time went by, I was told that she was actually a Maltese Poodle, she grew much more than what I was told. AND on top of that, she was diagnosed with diabetes at only 5 months. Owners really need to check their dogs and make sure they're healthy.

I took my moms amazon parakeet to get his wings and nails clips. And let me tell you, my moms bird bites bites everyone except for my brother and my mom. So they did a good job taming him. Definitely be coming back again and it's the nearest pet shop to my moms house. Bought some food as well and good prices.

DO NOT come here for grooming we told the man who is at the front to tell the groomer just to trim around our terrier long hair and he said ok (since their groomer was not there at the moment) and two hours later when we picked her up they shaved all of her hair off! Please go somewhere else when it comes to grooming.

I bought a dog here for my kids. I paid for a toy shitzu I and got a poodle/shitzu and terrier mix. As a puppy at 6 weeks he looked like a shitzu full breed but as the 3 weeks passed he got Huge!!! He's about 25 lbs and looks like the dog in another yelp review. I bet they are from the same litter!!!the owner- a Latin round looking older man (he told me he was the owner when I bought the dog)who knows English when he is selling the dog. BUT, when I returned 3 weeks later because the dog grew so large and clearly was not a full breed shitzu, He pretended to act like he was just a worker there and pretend he didn't know English. He said the owner is not available- I told him he told me he was the owner of the shop when I bought the dog. he just smiled and acted like I was mistaken- I Don't think so!!!! Lucky for him I speak Spanish and immediately started explained what he was doing was wrong- this threw him off!!! I guess bc I have a speech problem he though he could take advantage of meHe tried to say he told me it was a mixed breed and then I explained -who would pay $450 for a mixed breed large dog when I could adopt one for $50. I clearly asked him if the dog was 100% full breed and he confirmed it was- LIAR!!! Then he all of a sudden remembered how to speak English- it's a miracle!!!! bottom line go somewhere else- biggest scam ever!!! I hope they shut u down!!!

Had to give it 1 Star. I would not even do that. First, this place is DIRTY, Webs all over the place, Dust, empty Bird Seeds all over the ground. That should of been a sign to Leave, But I didnt. My Wife just lost a Parrot and was really sad, so I made a Huge effort to try to find another thats Social, Nice, Talks, etc. I know that Cockatoos are pretty close to those requirements, so I did some looking around and the only place I found was this Place. Carol's Pet Center. Yea, they were really Friendly, and checked out the Cockatoo. The Bird was Really Nice, Loving, The Guy used a Stick to put the Bird back on its cage. Was PERFECT for Trying to Mend a Broken Heart Wife. So we took it home. Very Nice and Calm. Next Day, COMPLETELY Different Bird. Very Aggressive, Very Noisy, and when I used a Stick to try to pick him up, he ran away and was like he feared it. This was Not even close to the Bird I bought. So we Tried to work with it a couple of days, But Nothing. He Squawks to get attention and no matter if its Me or my Wife to try to pick him up, he would Bite, HARD. So we walk away but goes at it for an Hour and then the Next day, same Routine. Very Rarely we were able to Handle the Bird, but doing so only with fear. So I went back to try to talk to them and Now Suddenly, they are Not Helpful, they dont want anything to do with Us. I asked to talked to the Owner to work out a Deal and the Guy says the Owner Never Shows up (At his Own Shop, thats SAD) so I asked him for the Number and he said that he cant give it out and I asked then How am I suppose to talk to the Owner if you are not allowed to make any Decisions and Only the Owner Is? I even Offer to get Just the Money Back and I would give them a Nice Cage that I had (Valued at $300-$400) and they can make a Bit of a Profit from Nothing, or Something. Nope, wasnt even willing to work with you on anything. It's been Nothing but a Nightmare and No Co-operation from them. I really think they Sedated the Bird to keep it Calm enough to sell it when they Knew it had some Issues. More Likely they do that to all their Parrots. I would HIGHLY Advise against going to Them. PLEASE Spread the Word Around. This wasnt something like 1-2 Months, this was 3 Days. I've bought a Car from a Cars Salesman who was willing to take a car back for More than That. I even Offered that I have 2 Dogs and 2 Cats (Dogs Stays Outside and the Cats keeps their Distant, they are More afraid of the Bird than it of them) I was Willing to always go to them to get their Shots and etc. But Still Nothing. They are nice and Willing to work with you to get a Sale but after that, Dont expect any Sympathy.
