My cocktail was amazing. The side we shared as an appetizer(Brussel sprouts) was amazing. Our entrées were amazing. The service was great. The music was horrible! It was bubblegum pop covers of classic pop/rock hits. WITH ADS! Including an ad for urethra health!!!!

Google
Sipped on a Moscow Mule. Enjoyed and ordered Dungeness crab appetizer twice just for the umami!!! Had the Diver Scallops which were cooked to perfection paired with Risotto which crunched and melted delicately with every bite!! The boyfriend got chicken parm-also delicious!! Would definitely visit Carpe Diem again as the service was spectacular!!

We had a great experience at Carpe Diem in downtown Napa. Luckily, we arrived during happy hour and took full advantage — enjoying a few glasses of delicious Cabernet at a great price. We also shared a generous charcuterie board that really impressed us. It came with a fantastic variety of cheeses, olives, nuts, dried apricots, and a flavorful fig spread that tied everything together perfectly. It was the ideal pairing for the wine. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and unwind without any pretense. The service was excellent, with staff who were both friendly and attentive throughout our visit. If you’re in Napa and looking for a laid-back place with great wine, tasty bites, and top-notch service, Carpe Diem is definitely worth a stop.

Came here for a quick dinner after a spa day. This was a great find that we saw while walking around a day prior. We made a reservation just to be sure. We started withthe pork belly appetizer, which was so tender. Great glaze on top. For entrees, I had the pork milanese, which was very good, and came with salad. My wife had the duck a lorange, which didn't disappoint either. A quality meal indeed. Our server was Chika, and she was fantastic. She knew the menu front to back and had great suggestions. They also brought out free ice cream to celebrate my wife's recent birthday. Parking might be tricky, but you can walk from hotels. If you're in the area, set a reservation, and drop in for a great meal.

Google
Our best meal on our 2 night trip. The rack of lamb was perfection. The diver scallops were also cooked perfectly. Carrot cake and ice cream was scraped clean off the plate. Thank you for our 35th anniversary dinner. It couldn't have been better. Good street parking and a parking structure close by. Go have a great meal here.

We came for happy hour after attending a wedding reception. The place overall has potential. However, when we got there, on a Friday night, it was pretty sparse. The food had potential but DEFINITELY needed seasoning. The star of the show was the bartender, I forgot his name, but his drinks were very well- balanced and incredibly tasty. In spite of their incredibly underwhelming and sparse stocked bar. I might go back one more time to try some other food choices in hopes that they'll be better. But, I'll DEFINITELY be back for drinks with the aforementioned bartender because they were that good.

Google
Very nice restaurant. We dropped by for dinner (On a pre-booking). The place was full, so you definitely need a booked table in order to get in. The food choices are great with 2-5 extra daily specials. They have a nice wine selection and a great craft cocktail menu. There is part of the restaurant that is a full bar The food was very delightful - definitely a place to visit - also again.

Google
Great ambiance, good food, overall cool place for date night, couples' night, or even family night. Wanted to try this place a few visits ago so this time I was determined to make it happen. The food is delish and offers a variety of different cuisine. They have everything from pasta, burgers, steak, seafood....it's endless and everyone is sure to find something they like. Our group had a few cocktails which were good, but we also brought a bottle of champagne, and the corkage is $20. Service was great. Forgot our servers name but he and his team were very attentive, granted it was super busy. Parking can be a challenge since it's downtown, but it's not the worst. Cool place with good drinks and food; I would definitely return.

Yelp
Excellent little restaurant in downtown Napa. Cozy & unpretentious, but clearly they care about their food- everything tasted exquisite. We had the calamari and Caesar to start, which were both great. I had the Nomad's Quest cocktail which was very refreshing. Duck burger was phenomenal, def recommend getting it at least once!

Yelp
Fantastic dinner and service. Hubby took me here for Valentine's dinner (a day late- Saturday) and it was well worth it. Service is impeccable front start to finish. We had a reservation at 530 pm and we were seated right away. There's a nice back area that appears it can be used for private dining...dim and quiet and a bar in the same room! We had the sweet chili calamari which we enjoyed but the star of that dish was the deep fried olives. What a surprise. Pairs well with the dip they provide. So good. Hubby enjoyed his rib eye which came with steamed brussels and potato gratin. I had the beef short rib that was so tender and so yum! It paired well with the risotto- and please do add the fresh parmesan! I paired my meal with a glass of Pinot noir and I have no complaints. We ended the night with the espresso creme brulee. Honestly, very mild espresso flavor but that was the right amount for me. I do wish there were more strawberries though. There is a parking garage nearby which was great. I would absolutely come back again!

Yelp
in a tourist town, meals can be spotty. However, this small restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The very nice waitress assured me that the restaurant week menu was not small portions. She was right. Appetizer was a nice large Caesar salad. My salmon was properly medium rare and the vegetables were good. The dessert of cheesecake was also very good. For 45 bucks in Napa, I don't Think you can get a better meal. My business guest had the ravioli with a beef ragu. That was reported as delicious. All in all a very nice meal. Great waitress. Addendum - system doesn't allow me write another review. The dinner was so good we came back the next night. Again a great meal. Same waitress. Her name was Maggy. The owner was there as well. Very nice man. Great host. It's nice to a local restaurant with great food and great hosting.

Yelp
It was restaurant week so we ordered off of that menu. We were a little disappointed in the food. My friend did not like the chicken parm and my salmon entree was petite. They had a cocktail on special that we ordered and it was not my favorite. We sat in the second room and service was pretty quick. We also made some midwestern friends. It was a Friday night so it was fairly noisy as a large party was next to us.
google avatar

Khristine C.

Yelp
My friends and I had a great Friday night dinner here. The hospitality, food and drinks were outstanding. The interior of the restaurant was cozy but not overly decorated. They have 2 dining areas- the second dining room is completely separate and seems like it can be closed off for a private party. They also have outdoor seating with heat lamps and they had live music that night.... I can totally imagine myself enjoying a cocktail outdoors during a warmer evening listening to live music, I'm definitely coming back! The food was delicious! For appetizers we ordered the burrata cheese, sweet chili calamari, and a beet salad... all were amazing. For entrees we had the diver scallops (good sized scallops-came with 4 pieces) 12 oz. Ribeye (absolutely delicious with a perfect sear and salt crust) squid ink tagliatelle (I'm not into pasta but this was delicious and a good sized portion) and the branzino (absolutely amazing and my favorite part was the crispy edges of the fish skin!) Everything was delicious with generous portions. You can't have a great night without a cocktail (or 2 or 5!) I told the bartender to surprise me and make me their best drink (I told them either vodka or tequila) and the 2 cocktails I got were delicious! I will definitely be back and I can't wait to try other dishes!

Jeannette C.

Yelp
Great food and service! We ordered the octopus and crab arancini, they were delicious and fresh. The ink pasta was fresh and light! Both owners are very personable and professional.

Yelp
Great ambiance and service. I just wish they have bigger tables for two. It gets crowded for all the food and drinks on a small single table for two.
google avatar

Eddie O.

Yelp
Brought my wife here for Valentines dinner. Very cozy and family feeling upon entering. The host was very hospitable and gracious. Our cell phones were practically dying so the host was very accommodative to find us a table near an outlet so we could charge. We ordered a delicious octopus appetizer to start. My wife went with the special for the night which features wild salmon while I opted for the chicken parmesan. Both entrees were equally tasty and very generous. We also tried the mushroom soup of the day. Very tasty and creamy. To top off our evening, we opted for the bread pudding. Yum! A great meal with wonderful service from our female server. So friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
I came to Carpe Diem with my family on a Friday at 4pm for happy hour. The restaurant and bar look fancy and clean. When arriving, let the host know if you are partaking in their happy hour menu, since that can only be done at the bar. Otherwise they will seat you, at the tables and expect you to order off the main menu. Our waiter, however, was kind enough to accommodate my family since he already seated us and poured our glasses of water. When seated, both the waiter and waitress kept insisting/recommending dishes off of their main menu. However, my family and I only wanted to order off the happy hour menu, because we ate at another restaurant prior to coming to Carpe Diem. From that point forward, I felt as our servers were disappointed because my family didn't order off the main menu. If you don't want people to order off the happy our menu, why do you even have a happy hour menu?? We ordered the Caesar salad, Parmesan fries, crab arancini, chicken Parmesan, wagyu burger, short rip poutine, cosmo, margarita, and a maui beer. All the food came in less than 10 minutes! Everything was plated nicely and each tasted delicious. My favorites were probably the chicken parmesan and parmesan fries. After we were finished eating, our waitress kept insisting we order dessert. My family had to tell her no twice since we were already full and had birthday cake earlier in the day. Overall I give carpe diem 3 stars. The happy hour food was delicious and worth the price and I liked the overall ambiance of the restaurant, but I didn't like how pushy our servers were in regards to ordering food off of the main menu.

Kat

Yelp
Everything we ate was pretty good and the portions were generous. Even though the restaurant was full, the staff did their best to be attentive. The restaurant was fairly loud which made it difficult to carry on conversation at times.

Yelp
Wife and I went to this restaurant and everything was perfect. Our server in my all time top ten. Drinks, food and service was top notch.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Went on Valentine's Day with the expectation that service and quality may suffer a bit because of how busy restaurants are during Valentine's Day, especially dinner service. Surprisingly we were seated quickly. Drink order immediately taken followed by food order taken within 5 minutes from being seated. Food turnaround was prompt and delicious. And service never wavered. Pretty impressed

Yelp
My second night in Napa we had reservations at Carpe Diem, we were sat in what appears to be an overflow area / large party room and next to a large party who were clearly over served and saying very loud and vulgar obscenities, it made us uncomfortable and quite annoyed. Not sure if he is the manager or the owner but there was a man who brought our drinks out and took our order who was laughing and talking with the loud table. Our server assistant however was lovely and did her best to make us feel comfortable. This resturant had a prefixed menu for resturant week and it also had a featured cocktail on there for $9 (if you know Napa, you know this is a steal!) my friend and I both had Cesar salad as our starters and I ordered the chicken Parmesan for my entree. The best thing we had there was the drinks, salad was good a typical Cesar salad, but has anchovies on it which I didn't know and didn't care for. My chicken Parmesan tasted like spaghetti o's with breaded under seasoned chicken. The server assistant noticed I didn't want a togo box for the rest of my food and asked me what was wrong and then asked if I wanted something else, which was very nice of her but I passed that up. Probably won't be back as I wasn't a fan of the food.

Yelp
Wonderful meal at Carpe Diem. Highlights were a decadent 4-cheese ravioli and a subtle chicken parmesan. A tomato bisque was a fresh and delicious starter. Service was fantastic. I'll definitely return.

Yelp
Another great evening at Carpe Diem with hosts Koray and Maggie. It's our favorite restaurant in Napa. Show up for the Happy Hour and get great drinks and eats with bartenders Tas and Sam. We finished the meal with espresso martinis and then headed out for the Napa Lighted Art Festival. On until Mid February.

Yelp
The food was alright. I actually did like the broccoli cream soup of the day a lot. The food was generally pretty expensive and not very big but no complaints. Honestly expected so not an issue. The 24 hour braised short rib was pretty good, boneless and very soft, softer than tofu. Creme brûlée was pretty good. They also gave me a free lemonade and vanilla ice cream with a candle for my birthday! I was here for delayed birthday celebration, my birthday is March 13 and we came on April 13. I'd give the food 3.5 stars. 4 for some dishes. The place was nice but way too loud for me, that was because of other customers though, not the restaurant's fault. I'm surprised a "fine dining" place of this price range was this loud! Luckily I had Loop earplugs with me but it was still very loud. This is not an ad and I am not affiliated with Loop. Just be prepared if you're sensitive to noise. Probably not an issue for most neurotypical people but I have ADHD :( Service was amazing. Our server was cool and friendly. He was helpful with recommendations and an issue with billing (they forgot to give a free appetizer for a Yelp check in but he fixed it for us). The girl in the front (hostess?) was very nice. She walked me to the bathroom because it's pretty deep in a hallway and also complimented my Loop earplugs :0 It's been awhile since I've gotten a compliment from a cute girl (they become rarer since finishing school!) so that was really nice! She was really sweet and that lowkey made my day I'll say food is 3.5-4 stars, establishment is nice, noise is an issue but beyond their control and most likely not an issue for most people, and service is 5 stars! Good food great service!

Yelp
This is a corner cafe in the heart of Napa , CA. Ambiance is a very welcoming but a little crowded. Very busy during dinner. Very pleased with the service and have to say it is one of the reason I would go back. The other reason is the food. I had the"Lamb". I was asked how I wanted it cooked? I stated I would leave it up to the Chef. I'm glad I did. Cooked perfectly. You will not be disappointed if eating here.

Yelp
Went with a large party for a birthday and we all had a great time. The service was great and the space is intimate. The chicken Parmesan was one of the best I've had. Great spot in Napa.

Yelp
This place is great! Asked for a Mai Tai and Taz made it happen. Love the atmosphere, the drinks and the food. Good and friendly service. Give this place a visit.

Yelp
Excellent service on a Christmas day. Enjoyed calamari and crab rice appetizers. My son loved the Vesper martini. Beet salad was amazing as was the Caesar Salad. My son had the filet, which looked delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the Diver Scallops, which was a delicious dish. For desert, lava cake, can't go wrong with the chocolatey goodness. Great experience.

Yelp
first time to carpe diem in forever. sadly it has changed so much. it used to be bussling and now its sort of mellow. we didnt see the usual options we originally saw before, especially the famed Twix bar which was a favorite back then my friend has the risotto which wasn't great, and I had a fish of some sort. we also remember the French fries being carpe style which we also didnt see. the restaurant said they also didnt serve ketchup with the fries. so sad. ambiance - normal napa style sit down dining, without intimacy, bc they were hammering something while we were dining there.

Yelp
Arrived on restaurant week, the four of us chose the curated menu and were completely satisfied. Friendly service and comfortable ambiance. I'd definitely return.

Yelp
We had a delicious evening at happy hour here! The bar tender and host were both very friendly and provided excellent and attentive service. We started off with the dealer's choice cocktail, which for tonight was the lemon drop. They have a pretty extensive happy hour menu - we tried the wild mushroom flatbread, which was covered with fresh cheese and mushrooms. The taco of the day was short rib which was delicious as well. The dungeness crab arancini was really good, and we ordered a second plate of these. Both the shortrib poutine and the chicken parmesan were very generous portions. Definitely worth visiting anytime you're in Napa!
google avatar

Yelp
Make a reservation if you're coming here for dinner. The service is excellent, but the food is mediocre. It seems like most restaurants in Napa follow this trend. The exterior has a sewer smell, but the restroom looked pristine. The interior is crowded since the tables are quite close to each other. I had the fish of the day, which was a Chilean Sea bass. Delicious. Meanwhile my dad's Iberian pork was way too salty. He kept eyeing my fish of the day instead.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and delicious food. This place is very low key and intimate ambiance. The waitress was awesome and the food was amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Dinner with the family here was delicious. Attentive service and well balanced entrees. Recommend. I love their short ribs.
google avatar

Audra N.

Yelp
The friendliest service ever - really liked Koray. He seemed to love his job. Very personable. The food was great too - good portions. Lots of Italian food. Enjoyed the olives - warm ones. The Caesar salad and bread pudding was also quite yummy. They have lovely house bread with sea salted butter. The short rib and branzino was also tasty. We didn't love the duck - a little too rare. Reasonable prices. In the downtown area so places to go afterwards. Ambiance is good. Not something super memorable. Good cocktails.

Yelp
Such terrific service and great food. Thanks to the whole team for their excellent service in coordinating a large birthday party group. it was a tremendous success! The price for our large party was very reasonable, the food excellent and brought out very quickly and the staff remained attentive throughout the event even though it was a very busy Saturday evening.

Yelp
Went here for happy hour with my family. We were greeted by a waiter who told us that they serve happy hour at the bar only, but since they sat us at a table already, they allowed us to order from the happy hour menu. That was nice they accommodated us, but we could tell that the waiter and waitress were a bit pushy and wanted us to order from the main menu. We ordered fries, short rib poutine, Caesar salad, crab arancini, chicken Parmesan, burger, Cosmo, margarita, and a beer. The food was good. We had too much fried food from the arancini, fries which we ordered on its own and which also came with the burger and the short rib loaded fries, chicken cutlet from the chicken Parmesan. What's happy hour without fried foods though? The food was pretty good. The happy hour price is a good deal - I'd get the Caesar salad, chicken parm, and burger again. I'd skip the arancini (not fresh crab and it reminded me of fish sticks with sauce that was like tartar sauce), short ribs fries (I'd suggest adding an extra fresh topping to add some freshness to the dish and cut through the saltiness of the meat and fries). Drinks were solid. I think the cooking was overall solid and I'd like to try some of the items from the main menu next time.
google avatar

Yelp
What a hidden gem! The staff is incredibly attentive to your needs. Tonight's dining experience was a true delight. I had the Duck L'Orange, which was fantastic, along with some amazing scallops. It's clear that they use high-quality ingredients, which really enhances the flavor.
google avatar

Nica F.

Yelp
The Espresso Martini was really good. The whiskey not so much it was not strong at all. Lobster Risotto, was ok. But Carbonara was the worst. I was really disappointed. It was soupy and it has sour taster. It was too plain. I don't even want to talk about it. :(
google avatar

Gigi J.

Yelp
Cute bar/restaurant! Seize the day! Would've seized more of other menu items but was dining with a vegetarian so wanted to order things we could share. Food was really good, everything was fresh and flavorful. We were good with our drinks, 2 salads and the cheese platter. So we only had a few bites of the mushroom flatbread and carbonara before we took them to-go. Totally looking to attack the Chilean sea bass and short ribs next time, minus the vegetarian! Their espresso martini is to die for! Colton was friendly and attentive. Thnx for taking care of the issue with the water. Side note: Thnx, J. Gabriel, for correcting the charge issue. Appreciate it! See ya next time!

Yelp
I've had Carpe Diem bookmarked for years now and decided that I wanted to finally cross them off for my birthday this year! I made reservations for Saturday and my husband and I showed up fairly early. The dining area wasn't set up yet and we felt bad for the gal setting up. I could tell she was anxious about making us wait and even offered us a glass of bubbly in the mean time. As soon as we were seated she offered us complimentary bread, yay! However, we asked for more bread throughout the meal (thinking it was complimentary) and we inevitably were charged for "bread service" so be aware! We heard the specials and got to ordering. Appetizers: Sweet Chili Calamari - This one was 50/50 for us. We enjoyed the fry on the calamari but wish the sweet chili sauce was on the side. Mussels (special) - The portion was generous and the mussels were a decent size. The broth had a lot of leak flavor and that's all I really tasted. I wish there was more depth to it. Entrees: Braise Short Rib - One of the best short ribs I've had. It was so flavorful and incredibly tender. I loved that risotto was served with it too. It was really fulfilling. Pork Tenderloin (special): We weren't a fan of this dish. The pork was dry. Polenta was not creamy at all and the avocado sauce was strange. I primarily chose Carpe Diem because I really wanted Steak & Frites for dinner and I saw that they had it available on their menu...but it turns out their menu is more of a rotating menu? Because it was not available on the Saturday night we dined in...that was a huge bummer. :( But I did hear the server tell another table that there was a steak & potato dish available as a special and I was shocked because we weren't told about this special. Had I known, I would've ordered the steak instead of the pork lion. At the end of our meal, a gentleman (he seemed to be the owner or head chief) came over and dropped off glasses of limoncello on the house. This was a really nice gesture. I have mixed feelings about the experience. I really wanted to like it because I've heard such good things about Carpe Diem and I also felt bad for the gal trying to get things together but I feel like Carpe Diem fell a bit short in our experience. As of right now, we probably wouldn't return considering all the other dining options in Napa. However, it was nice to give them a try.

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurant experience in Napa. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We got a couple of appetizers to share: - Octopus Salad - this was just okay. There weren't a lot of octopus - Burrata - this was amazing. I could eat this entire plate by myself - Arrancini - my friends shared this dish and loved it For our mains, I got the Short Rib and omg this was heavenly. It was so tender and the risotto at the bottom was so flavorful. The only downside is that it is incredibly filling so come starving and you'll be fine. My friends got the lamb chops that she loved and devoured; one got the rib eye special and this was so good as well and my other friend got the summer risotto. Personally I thought that it was just ok but my friend absolutely loved it. Overall we will definitely be back next time we're in Napa because the food is just too good.

Yelp
Nothing to write home about, 45$ is a good deal for 3 course meal, that being said the food might as well being bland

Yelp
Napa is FULL OF GREAT things. Great wine, obviously! Amazing hospitality, sweeping views, and some of the freshest produce in the lower 50! It is then not surprising that Napa would produce great restaurants serving delicious food! But how to choose? For me, it's about a focused menu with real dishes (I'm not a "small plates" guy); somewhere where the Chef and menu designer is also still in the kitchen (and pops out to say hi and check on your experience) and most importantly, is the right balance of cost and quality. CDR&B gets the equation spot on! Be sure to make reservations. Me and some childhood friends had a weekend reunion and wine-tasting extravaganza in Napa this fall and found Carpe using an assortment of Google Maps and Yelp! With a lactose intolerant and a pescaterean in tow, we need a diverse enough menu! Thank goodness we tried this place. We started out with some Calamari, the beat salad and a French Onion soup! The calamari were PERFECTLY fried (meaning the fish are still succulent inside, the bread is crisp and also flavorful). The beats were perfectly dressed and mixed with red and (orange?) that were sweet and not too earlthy! And as the lactose person, was told the onion soup was savory and warm and "like a hug"! he means were the Trout, which was flaky inside but crispy and buttery on the outside (wow). And the Duck....THE DUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quickly becoming one of my favorite proteins when executed perfectly, crispy on the outside, rendered down enough that the fat ratio remaining complements the meat, and cooked just past medium to retain a nice texture but eliminate the gaminess! Perfect on all counts! And indeed, the Chef did come out to check on us! Small and intimate space, attentive staff, well executed food #period!

Yelp
Celebrated my fiancée bday dinner. Food was great! I've had better bread pudding. It was a little on the dry side. Waitress was friendly. Didn't like that the tables were so close together; couldn't have a private conversation if you wanted to.

Yelp
First was disappointed that they do not have foie gras, and somewhat with the slow services The starter truffle fries and flatbreads were delicious, short ribs are ok a bit dried. The seafood pasta was way off. Pastas were undercooked and the mussels in the seafood were very fishy and the sauce was way runny which they were served on a flat plate that did not hold everything well. Hummm.
google avatar

Eric N.

Yelp
First time I tried the chef's tasting menu and it was over the top. Every dish was delicious and presentations were amazing. The wine pairings were perfect and I'm always very open to giving constructive criticism on pairings but all the wines matched perfectly with the dishes. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food and wine. I highly recommend the chef's tasting menu but you can't go wrong if you order off the regular menu. Service was the best and multiple outdoor seating areas just add to the experience. If you're in Napa this is a must try restaurant if you're into food and wine.

Yelp
Went here for a double celebration- Mother's day and hubby's bday. Service was the only that stood out the most. Great service. Food was good except for the rib eye steak - it was just ok. The rest like fillet mignon, lamb and the duck were good. Ceviche and calamari taste good too!

Yelp
At first, we were waiting for a few minutes to check-in in front of the check in booth. The server/Host Ali came up and checked in the guest that just came in behind us who was away from the check-in booth which disappointed me and thought it was going to be one of those bad nights. I then told Ali right away to also check us in as I was getting a little upset then I thought maybe because we blended in with the other group of Asians that were waiting also. Next, Ali then asked who was here first and the other guest kindly said that we were. Ali then took us to our table. The restaurant ambiance was nice and can be crowded at times. No loud music and the guests there can be loud as well which I don't mind. The restaurant looks nice and clean. Ali was our server, and later on, he did A wonderful professional job taking care of us and with the food and dessert suggestions. He was a very nice and kind server and made sure we were good and that the food was good and kept our drinks full. The food was great there also. Thank You Ali for the great and wonderful experience. Thanks for singing Happy Birthday to my wife also.

Yelp
We were a group of 14 celebrating several milestone birthdays. We all enjoyed ourselves and the food and service were both outstanding. The drinks were on point. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
We look forward to dining here again soon! Love the atmosphere, the bartender, the fries are off the chart! Best fries any of us have ever had! That's saying something folks. Our waitress on 10/21/22 (our 32nd wedding anniversary)was not nice, helpful nor pleasant. Which was unfortunate! Everything else was so good. Coming again to eat this pork chop & truffle fries! The best!! We highly recommend happy hour; the bar & the food!

Yelp
Carpe Diem is our favorite Napa restaurant! The food is delicious, the cocktails are fantastic & the staff are always so welcoming. We tell all of our friends & family about Carpe Diem. It's our go to for date night, we've celebrated my 30th birthday here, & heck we've even gotten my girlfriend's boss to have his holiday party in the banquet room! We can't say enough good things about this place! It's a must try!

Yelp
A friend and I had a lovely dinner yesterday on Sunday. The restaurant was very comfortable and reasonably quiet. We had Maggie as our server, and she did a fantastic job and taking care of us and attending to my friends dietary restrictions. They delivered great food with her adjustments. Both had a best salad, she had the filet and I had the ribeye. Both perfectly cooked accompanied with very well prepared vegetables. I had a smoked old fashioned which was so good. A great local place in Napa for a wonderful dinner. They also have a bar in the other room when you first walk in.

Yelp
This is my new favorite place in Napa to eat at. This is a must go to. I went here for my BFF's batchlorette, the ambiance, bar tenders, and food was on point. They have a great HH selection and the drinks are on point. We all sat at the bar and the service was excellent. My favorite dishes were their pasta drinks. This is a must go if you are in Napa.

Yelp
So many great places to dine in Napa and this establishment offers very straightforward items. We had a few appetizers and shared some entrees between three diners. For appetizers we had Calamari in a sweet chili sauce (Mae Ploy) which I wouldn't have so much an issue With except there could have been more calamari and less onions. The second appetizer was truffle fries and those were crunchy and perfumed with truffle essence. The entrees were crispy pork belly and 1/2 lobster tail, halibut and a Caesar salad. The pork belly was deep first Ito get the crispiness and the lobster tail was roasted then topped with a buttery lemon sauce. Served with a dressed frisée and apple slices. The halibut was pan seared till golden brown and served with a side of sautéed veggies. Overall this was a good experience with very attentive waitstaff. Will be back to see if they can wow us next time.

Yelp
No refund was provided by the manager after the offer was given. Perhaps there was a mix up. My hope is they'd refund the moldy burger bun.

Yelp
We called ahead as we didn't have a reservation to see if we could be seated. They said yes, no problem, since it's just two people they could seat us. We arrived and stood in the foyer for 15 minutes while they served other tables because they were so understaffed. I think even a bus boy came over to apologise that it took so long to get seated when they told us no problem. We saw a table or two but even then they just didn't have the people. Part of the reason we came was for this ostrich burger all over yelp's photos. We get there and it's just gone. The website still listed it, but the menu there didn't have it anymore. Infuriating to have the website wrong. We started with the octopus salad which was the best part of the meal. The octopus was cooked very well and it had this awesome avocado mousse which made for a really light salad. I would definitely recommend this. We then got the halibut which was not good. Part of the halibut was overcooked but part of the halibut was undercooked. It's like they forgot to flip it or rotate it or something. And it came in this sauce which was just butter, melted butter without any flavor despite a fanciful description. Would not return.
