Carpentier Kitchen

Had lunch at The Carpentier Kitchen, a cafe that has been around since 2012. I ordered the Grilled Chicken with Mushroom Sauce and the chicken was still juicy and tasty, a perfect combination with the creamy mushroom sauce. Also tried the Virginia Cheese Fries, crispy and flavorful fries dipped in creamy and tasty cheese sauce. Such a perfect combo. The ambience is very youthful, with a mini bookshop corner and cute accessories and perfume corner that make the place feel fun and cozy. A nice spot to enjoy good food and hang out.

Hipstery place with a 40+ page menu (pdf) which took ages to load. Inside were some small local traders selling niche items. Nice to browse. Setup is cool, aiming for social media posts 😉 food was decent. Variety of choices. Coffee was lacking in body and aroma. Higher price point. Good for meals of u r in the area.

Great location in Surabaya city center. The food are very delicious, and must try their pancake & Willa's chicken 😍

It is always a 'YES' to visit here, this was my third times going back here. I found the interior itself quite interesting, cozy yet so artsy. The ambience and vibe are so chill and homey. The quality of the foods and beverages is very good. The service is nice. This place is more than just a cafe / restaurant. There are so many good stuffs you can buy from the local brand also. Leather products, vintage watch, etc ..you'll love it!

Love the huge food portions! but the place can get a bit too crowded and noisy.

Truth is i love the food and i like the place the only issue i have and i think its a big issue is the food takes so long. Its crazy , i waited for 1 hour for my chicken salted egg while i saw they have a lot of employees and kitchen staffs. I hope they can improve the time of their cooking because it doesnt make any sense

This fabulous local restaurant and coffee shop serves outstanding fresh, healthy food and fabulous drinks. The chicken and salmon dishes are excellent and everything is made to order so very fresh. Prices are excellent. There is a shop at the front with fun local offerings from clothes to jewellery and Knick knacks.

This is one of a kind and a local gem in Surabaya. Real good atmosphere, nice local shops in the restaurant. Its a lot to see and the food is really great. People are super friendly. I like to have coffee and cakes and read my book. Just visit! 🥳✨😁✨
