Carrara Markets

My grandparents have lived nearby for a long time but never taken me here and think this place is dull. I originally also thought here would only be plants, fresh foods and traditional stuffs but it turns out totally different. It’s such a versatile market that has a wide range of shops, especially gifts, sunglasses, clothes, accessories, home decorations, and bunches of second hand items even luxuries. Besides, there is also an appealing wood kangaroo sculpture and it’s surprising to see a Chinese decoration store and an old school video game console store. Overall, an excellent local marketplace to check out and most items have good prices. To note that no dogs are allowed.

Honestly, it's a funny place with a load of lousy shops, really reminds me of the Paddy's market in Sydney. However, I like that this place is full of its own spirit, with a retro vibe, like if you're transferred back to the 80s. Only giving it a 5 star because I don't want it to die out because of no business really. Would be a shame if Gold Coast lost this special local market. Didn't look like somewhere for high quality farm goods to me, so if that's what you're after then don't be bothered. Free entry and free parking is good. If you don't have a car and travelling here is a problem then don't waste your time. But if you have a car and love to explore local vibe then this is a good place to go.

First visit here and it was interesting. Many items were being sold, from plants to vinyls and books! Very friendly sellers and there were plenty of ATMs around for those who needed more cash in hand (some shops only accepts cash). Bought a dog tag for my babies back home and lowkey a little overpriced. $52 for 3 tags with engravings, but for memories sake, it would do.

Love going here. Kids love the trampoline bounce and the pony rides. Lots to look at and different foods to try. Sink lived the Japanese crepes, filled with cream, strawberries and icecream.

Carrara markets been here forever in a day sad to see the state of the creek that runs through in the middle full of rubbish not very well maintained. Need to look after the environment.not to mention the state of your sheds unsafe the main beams are that rust is a big problem for safe I hope these photos find the right person in health and safety

A nice local place. Customers services is nice. We bought tShirt. and bowl that cost only 6$ for 3 bowls. They even packed for us carefully in cartoon box to safety travel to Sydney. Price is cheap. Many Chinese too. I think I like it. Many parking spot.

Great location in Carrara to find some quality little food stalls, plants, candles, clothing, games and shopping. Lot's of parking inside and outside.
