Carriage House

I’ve been living in the Carriage House community for a year and a half. The area is very peaceful and pleasant, and the management is fantastic. Ms. Jackson, the community manager, is always kind and helpful. Every time I’ve had an issue, she’s taken care of it right away. I also really appreciate her warm smile—it always brightens my day.

On move-in day, my unit wasn’t even ready — the apartment hadn’t been cleaned, and the floors weren’t done. A lot of things were still incomplete, and even after moving in, the work remained unfinished. I had my truck fully loaded, ready to move in, only to be delayed due to the unit being unlivable. While living there, the ceiling started collapsing in multiple areas, damaging some of my belongings. Management refused to cover the losses. They also painted over the tub instead of replacing it and did a sloppy job. Security is another issue — car break-ins were common, random people would walk up onto the porch, and my bike was even stolen — and I lived on the second floor. Noise was also a big problem, with loud neighbors and frequent late-night gatherings. Avoid this place if you can. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.

Maintenance here is really on top of stuff! Marvin came and installed my new garbage disposal in less than 20 minutes! Quick install and just a great dude! I put the work order in yesterday and he came in and changed it quick

Lysia was AMAZING very professional and educational. She educated me about searching in the market for a place to stay. She's very friendly; didn't leave anything unanswered, anything I didn't ask she shared the information with me. She very AUTHENTIC. I hope in the future to be living on her property 😇

Marvin was excellent! He installed my refrigerator quickly . Everything works great, and he was very friendly and professional. I really appreciated his help.

Maintenance team is awesome kalvin and Marvin the best maintenance team this neighborhood has had since i moved here almost 5 years ago.they make it so simple put a maintenance request in and they literally come a day or two later they make you feel so important it’s definitely worth staying another year.thank you carriage house maintenance for all you do😉

I can’t tell you how happy I’ve came here to Carriage House. Ms. Lisa is the sweetest person you could ever meet I thank you Ms. Lisa for your help in this process I’m so glad to come apart of your community. I also met Ms. Bernessa oh man I can’t say enough about these two beautiful ladies they both are awesome Ms. Bernessa I want to thank you as well for all you done for me today as well. I can’t thank you both enough. These two ladies ROCK! If you’re looking for a place to live I recommend you to go speak to these two beautiful ladies at The Carriage House. I have been living at Carriage House for approximately 5 yrs at this point. All in all, it is a good place to live. Convenient location on Southside within walking distance of most anything you need. I have experienced several ownership/management changes over the years and I feel like the current owners/management have been the best of them all. The grounds are kept clean and serviced. Maintenance requests went from taking 2 months to be seen to now taking 24 hrs, sometimes even being taken care of on the same day you put in a request. The maintenance crew is respectful of your living space, friendly, and professional. The manager and the rest of the office staff are courteous and professional, and all seem to care about making sure tenant’s needs are addressed in a timely manner. Overall, living at Carriage House is a pleasant experience.

The assistant manager, Tammy, is simply outstanding!! I had an issue, that was extremely important to me, that occurred on a Friday. She absolutely bent over backwards to clear up the issue so that I would have peace of mind over the weekend. I have to add that the maintenance team, Charles, is very helpful. This apartment is convenient to restaurants, markets, malls, and little boutiques!. I am so glad that we found this apartment complex.

I want to put zero star for this place. I applied for the apt and decided not to before the move-in date. I told the assistant and cancel it. She did not respond that day, but one day after, she said she cannot do it and processing fees are non-refundable. I saw their policy that application fees are non-refundable which was $50. She said both cannot be refundable according their policy. I called the manager and she literally yelled at me. She cut off my words while I was talking to her, and yelled at me. I told her she was rude and she said she was not. She was crazy and unreasonable. She should have sent the policy through mail instead of yelling at customer. Then, after 40minus the manager called me to apologize and point out her policy sending e-mail. She also refunded the administration process fees. Overall, it went well at the end.
