Carroll Park

Carroll Park is such a gem in the neighborhood! The playground is fantastic, with separate sections for older and younger kids that keep everyone safe and entertained. It's a very active spot and great for dogs, plus having accessible restrooms on-site is a huge help for longer stays. A solid 4-star destination for families and locals!

Very nice public park in Carroll Gardens. It has basketball courts and playgrounds. It's very clean. The atmosphere is nice and it feels safe. It's a relaxing place to sit in and take in the sights. Update 10/4/25 This park is a very nice neighborhood park. I attended the Carroll Park fair.

One of the nice public parks in the city. Has big open areas and two different playgrounds for toddlers as well as little kids. Busy local park, lots of seats & benches so a good stop off point to rest tired legs in the shade or sun. Public toilets too. Several events year round and farmers’ market on Sundays…

Nice neighborhood park. Close to the train and shopping district. Great number of benches scattered throughout with many mature trees to offer lots of shad d seating. Public restrooms just off the entrance and a spacious multi sports area towards the back. Looked like there was a water sprayer to cool off kids in the summer, but wasn't running the day I was there. There aren't any grassy areas, though the planted areas offered a nice variety of flowers and greenery.

Great park alot to do here, fun for all ages

THE place for kids in the Carroll Gardens area. Large full block with playground, open fields and bathrooms. Balloon guy and icee cart or ice truck all summer long.

An unusually large public park for NYC, this one encompasses the entire city block bounded by Court, Carroll, Smith and President Streets. It's a true neighborhood park, where kids and their ever watchful guardians mix and mingle around a fun water feature with compass coordinates cast into the ground. The park is bordered by stores small and large and is enlivened by many community events, the soft serve ice cream truck and even a guy who makes balloon animals! The park is well maintained and planted with help from volunteer. it even has a public bathroom that you CAN use and won't feel like you need to shower afterwards. My daughter loves the swings.
