While the visitor centre is currently closed, the site is OPEN. You can walk through the gates either side of the road and visit the monuments for free. On the sunny Sunday we visited, a coffee truck was parked up in the parking lot (which remains open for cars), but be advised that the toilets in the visitor centre are not open. Monuments are as amazing as they have been for thousands of years and hopefully continue to be for many more.

A pretty cool spot with some great history. The employees were awesome. We arrived at the site looking forward to it, but saw a sign that only cash was accepted. Given that we are from the US and only recently arrived in Ireland from the UK we hadn't yet exchanged our GBP for Euros. The employee allowed us in for free, but I did provide a tip of 10 pounds. The employee would not allow me to leave more.

Fantastic experience and beautiful area at the same time. Learn about the ancients and how they lived, from the information in the visitor area. You can either have a guided tour or choose to do as you please. The lovely staff (shout out to Sally) are very helpful and friendly, you will get a printed info sheet showing a suggested route to view the tombs with some information too. There are toilets also and large car park.

Amazing to see so many neolithic monuments in such a small area. The paths through all the stones are trimmed grass and we found it easy to move through it.

Great place to visit. The staff were really helpful and answered all our questions. On entrance, you are given a map with a self guided tour on it and the staff explain how to use it. The map is handed in at the end to be re-used which is just excellent. The tombs are all outside and there is a path to follow. The little information centre is very helpful to place the tombs in context but it would have been good to see a few of the artefacts that were unearthed here (they are in the museum of archeology in Dublin). Not dog friendly.

Amazing site to visit. Admission fee is very reasonable and helps to keep the place preserved. A guided tour is available but we explored it ourselves. The staff at the reception was extremely helpful and gave a quick insight of the history here dating back over 5000 years. It's a short drive from Sligo Town and well worth it.

Pretty cool and interesting, you don't need to pay to enter, that's just to get a map and help them maintain the grounds

We loved the tour, while visiting the Megalithic Cemetery near Sligo, Ireland. Our tour guide, Lynda, was wonderful. Informative, funny, knowledgeable, great story-teller. So interesting. Worth doing! So many cool myths, scientific perspectives, etc. If you're in the area, please go!
