i came here for the first time because i heard it was closing and it’s always been on my list, and it really is such a bummer because the donuts were really quite good. i tried the salted chocolate baked donut and the pistachio raspberry jelly, and i think i preferred the salted chocolate. they were both fresh and super duper soft, but they were a tad sweet (especially the raspberry jelly). the salted chocolate wasn’t really that salty??? but i actually liked the texture of the baked donut i thought it was really cool. the white chocolate on the pistachio donut was also a really nice touch. the donuts are also pretty large. i wanted to try the apple fritter but ended up not getting it - i guess i will never experience a cartems apple fritter donut 😕

This spot is easily one of my all-time favorite cafes. They’ve really nailed the art of making donuts that are flavorful, balanced, and just downright enjoyable. None of that overly sweet, generic, maple syrup dripping stuff here—each donut feels like it was made with care. The baked ones are rich, soft, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Their salted caramel donut? A total game-changer. I’ve never had a bad donut here, and the monthly specials are always fun to try. Plus, they’re very inclusive because most of their donuts are vegan, and the baked ones are gluten-friendly. Initially i was pulled in by its interior— the brick walls, wooden furniture, and a double-ceiling aesthetic that gives the space a distinct, spacious feel. Their drinks are on point too. I always grab a coffee—it’s the perfect sidekick to a donut. But I was definitively blown away by their salted caramel, peppermint mocha, and pumpkin spice latte—they were so good I had to personally tell the barista it was the best coffee I’ve had in Canada! That said, the shop does get busy, and slightly expensive than say, timbits. Smart designing mades sure the space isn’t cramped, but seating is somewhat limited.

I love their baked donuts - these are probably my favourite donuts anywhere! They have this melt-in-your-mouth softness and the flavours are always on point. Their regular (fried) cake donuts also have great flavours but are very saturated with oil, almost to the point of being "wet", so I don’t really go for these anymore. I don’t have the same problem with the yeast donuts, though - these are not too oily and really fluffy. The monthly specials are usually interesting which keeps me coming back! As a bonus, the majority of the offerings are vegan and the baked ones are gluten-friendly. All the drinks available to accompany your donut are great. They always steam my caffe lattes perfectly and they know how to do matcha properly! The atmosphere is very cozy and warm with the brick walls and wooden furniture. It's an older building and has a distinct look. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. I'm happy that they've recently updated their hours to be open earlier AND they commit to having all the donuts ready to go right from opening so I can count on being able to get what I want!

I’ve had this place on my list to try for a while, so I had to come when I heard they were closing soon. I wish I had tried them sooner so I could enjoy their donuts for longer. Not only do they have many gluten free and vegan options, their donuts are delicious. Please give them a try while you still can, I know i’ll be stopping by more before they close. ❤️

Google
The london fog donut was the best. All others are equally delicious and have good texture. Hope they will reopen in the future!

Google
The donuts here are great. $5 each. Fluffy, flavourful, not too sweet. Limited selection of flavours each day. I had the Smokey walnut donut. It has a bacon-esque, mesquite flavour layer on top of the walnut. Surprisingly good!

Google
I love that this place caters exclusively to those seeking gluten-free or vegan donuts that are still delicious and full of flavor. Not many places are this inclusive and thoughtful. I’m a big fan of Cartems—they really have a secret sauce when it comes to their donuts. However, the space on Main feels quite bare, and it doesn’t have much of a vibe, so it’s not the kind of place where you’d necessarily want to stay and hang out. That’s why I’m giving it four stars. That said, the donuts are still a must-try and a staple in Vancouver's food scene and well worth it especially their glazed and citrus flavours.

Google
I’ve gotten cartems many times over the years and their classic Earl grey donut is my favourite - it is packed with earl grey flavour. Secondly I would recommend their London Fog or Vanilla Bean. The donuts are not overly sweet and have a great texture (either fluffy or dense depending on the type). They always have new monthly specials and the flavours are creative and unique sometimes (like black sesame or mango). This location particularly I visited recently and the staff are friendly and kind & they even give away samples to try and unsold remaining donuts to customers near the end of the day. Delicious donuts either way but also perfect for my vegan and GF friends / family.

Yelp
I was already on Main St. so I decided to drive up a bit further to this Cartems Donuts shop so I could use up my thisisplantcurious coupon for this place. It was a BOGO free offer so I brought home a Vegan Earl Grey donut and a Vegan Apple Fritter. They were both quite tasty although the Earl Grey flavor could have been stronger. I don't know what it is about Earl Grey desserts. Vegan or not, I seem to have this issue everywhere I go. I always find that the Earl Grey flavor could be stronger. Other than the Earl Grey flavor being a bit more subtle than I'd have liked it to be, I was quite impressed with the taste and texture of these donuts. Couldn't tell them apart from regular donuts so...Yay! Always happy to try something vegan and find that it's just as good as the regular version.

Their regular (fried) cake donuts also have great flavours but are very saturated with oil, almost to the point of being "wet". I have yet to try the yeast donuts, but definitely recommend the baked variety - their baked donuts are probably my favourite in Vancouver or anywhere. Yelp
First time at this doughnut shop and I was warned to expect SF prices. Living in SF, eh, this is fine as long as it's *also* very good. By the time I left with my doughnuts, the line was out the door (1:30 PM on a Saturday). The doughnuts did not disappoint; in fact, hubby and I looked at one another after our first bite with that rare, surprised-and-delighted look! Wow! The London Fog cream (yeast) doughnut was OUTSTANDING. I say this as someone who doesn't usually like yeast OR cream doughnuts. While I love cake doughnuts, I liked them a little less than the London Fog, *but its cousin*, the Earl Grey cake, was also a winner. Thing about this place is - even an okay doughnut is better than most places' good doughnuts. For comparison, I like Bob's Donuts (SF). Also, you get friendly and helpful service, people who want to make sure you have a good experience here. Too bad their downtown branch closed last year, but it's worth the trip when you get that hankerin'. Pictured from left to right: Mystery cake , Earl Grey cake , and Banana Bread cake . Not pictured: London Fog Cream-filled yeast . ALL ARE WORTH THE CALORIES AND PRICE. DO IT.

Yelp
My go to donut place in Vancouver. Because a lot of new donut places have opened up in the last several years, it's been awhile since I've been here. And man, did I miss this place. We had my niece visiting and she has lots of food allergies, they have vegan and nut free donut. The ladies that were working was helpful and even checked ingredient to make sure it was safe for my niece. I got some of my faves: Earl gray, matcha, and london fog. All the donuts I got were delish. My niece also enjoyed hers. I've started to go to this location its easier to find parking compared to the downtown location. I wont wait too long till I come again.

Yelp
The place is pretty. Very open and bright. Clean too. Good selection. Signage easy to understand. Way too sweet for my taste. I got a plain chocolate donut. But maybe not their fault. I'm more of a plain donut person. Price was reasonable. About $4.50 a donut. There's different kinds of donut batter. Some leave it cake like and crumbly. Some are more squishy and less crumbly not cake like. This shop does the latter. I prefer that kind of donut batter.

Yelp
5/5 I Want S'mores $4.95 4/5 Latte with ice $5.60 Premium donuts and pricing, but free password protected customer wifi if you're looking for a spacious area to work. May want to bring noise-cancelling headphones to drown out music from the speakers in the back and the occasional traffic and sirens from Main Street.

Yelp
We have been here many times. Birthdays, Anniversaries, or just for fun. The donuts are out of this world good. We love that they have a few standard flavours that the keep on rotation and then the variety of seasonal flavours. Service always smiles and are friendly and the store is always clean, bright, and open.

Moira S.

Yelp
My favourite donut shop. Great variety and always pillowy and very tasty. I particularly like the London Fog one, filled with delicious cream. I really miss the downtown branch!

Yelp
Cartems is a gem! A wonderfully bright spot to chat with friends and snack through a recent afternoon. All their gluten free donut flavors rock! And friendly staff.

Yelp
Perched on a corner facing the main drag, Main St, this is a cool donut shop in an older building. Classic retro: vintage spacious windows, high ceiling, recessed entry wooden doorway and pleasant cafe vibe. Sparse seating but a variety for big party, small group and window bar row. Super vegan friendly for both your baked & yeast donuts, along with regular stuff. I've stopped by twice this Winter for my new favorite donut of all time: smoky maple walnut (yeast just edging out the baked but I dig both). Just a very pleasant savory bite to it while no hints of too dry, too oily nor too sweet. A few others I tried that were ok: lemon poppyseed & classic baked. The choco glaze with orange marmalade filling one I still have on my radar. Their oat decaf latte is also quite good with cinnamon mixed in; try it with their house vanilla syrup (not usually a vanilla fan but any house creation is worth a try). The staff were always warm, friendly and cool. One time I brought my personal mug and a gal forgot to use it, instead. Wasted supplies but she was happy to fix it quickly.

Yelp
This shop was highly recommended by friends when I kept craving donuts. So, ofc I dropped by for a donut after a biking event and i do not regret that at all. I had the London Fog donut and wow it was sooo sooo good. Not a huge fan of donuts before, but when you're in Vancouver, I finally understand why you'll just fall for the donuts here :P Wish i had the space to try all of them but it'll have to wait for next time.

Yelp
Super friendly service, clean store and spacious high ceilings. As for the doughnut, I've tried it before and came in for one single donut to go and a coffee. I had the earl grey fried donuts. It is dense and soft, the pastry it self is not sweet, faint earl grey. I left half a donut on a napkin before I headed to dinner thinking I'd finish it later. To my surprise, the donut leaked through 3 paper napkins and moisturised my leather passenger seat. I tried to finish it post dinner, I can't, the oil leaked thoroughly out and its now dry. I wouldn't say this donut base is a traditional donut. I'm sad I'm not a fan considering it is a local favourite.

Yelp
Lovely space, great music, good airflow in the summer. Staff is very kind. Doughnuts are yummy.

Yelp
The Nanaimo bar donut was really good! Really tasted like a Nanaimo bar. I recommend coming here early before the interesting flavours sell out!

Yelp
Walking around by myself during a hot summer day, I came across this Cartems branch. Curiosity took a peak and I decided to go on. The thing about me, I'm not much of a sweets or dessert person. Somehow, this place always enticed me. I saw their donut selection and it made me drool through my mask. I haven't even had breakfast yet and my tummy grumbling, I knew 2 donuts were a good start to the day! Best choices for donuts for me. Not only did I gobble them up, but was supposed to have left one of them for my boyfriend. Whoops! Don't tell him! If I were in the area again, would gladly come by to try more donuts!
google avatar

Yelp
Oh my goodness!!! The Donuts are unreal and the customer service is amazing. We met Melissa and Megan and they're so friendly and helpful! We got a 1/2 dozen so we could try several flavors. There's something for everyone with vegan, gluten free and baked donuts. We'll be back!

Yelp
I honestly don't know why I don't have a review for Cartems Donuts yet. It's one of my favourite spots for donuts! Today, I stopped by to pick up a few donuts for fiancé and I. My favourite is their Earl Grey donut, but unfortunately they were sold out by the time I arrived (approx. 11am). I ended up grabbing these three donuts: Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Glaze, and Coconut Cream. Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Glaze: I've had both before and are my standard, classic go-to donuts.. they are exactly what you look for in a donut. Soft on the inside and the perfect amount of glaze. Delicious! I also noticed their Coconut Cream donut. I haven't seen this before on my previous visits nor on their website, so it's new to me. Honestly, they had me at coconut. And boy... I lucked out today. I love, love, LOVED it. WOW! The cream filling had that natural, coconut sweetness.. it's like I was basically eating a coconut. A new favourite! I'm regretting getting just one. You can't go wrong with Cartems!

Yelp
Everytime I come here, it's for the one and only London Fog donut !! It is one of my all time favourite, the tea infused whipped cream inside the donut is incredible. Decided to venture out and got one of their daily special as well, which was the Dulce Crunch. It was a vanilla cake donut with dulce de leche glaze topped with cinnamon almonds. I loved the crunchy texture of the almonds on top. PS. Remember to get a free donut on your birthday! Just show them your ID :) I go every year !

Yelp
Amazing donuts! Cartems just never disappoints. I skipped lunch the other day and had donuts instead. It had been awhile, so I figured I better get two! I tried the Smoked Maple Walnut yeast donut, and the Pistachio cake donut. Both were even better than I thought! I mean I knew they'd be good, but wow I was impressed. However, I'm still dreaming about the Royal Berry filled donut I had in the summer. Definitely my favourite.

Yelp
oh god the donuts are so good oh god the tables and counters are so revoltingly filthy
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Adjusting my rating a bit, as even though these are still good donuts, they are also still very expensive, and today was a joke. When I bought six donuts, two for dine in, and four to go, they packed the four to go donuts in two small bags containing 1 each and some awkward white container with the other two. That seems like total stupidity to give me three different packages for 4 donuts to go and then refusing to combine them into another bag or container without charging more. It made me resentful paying around $4 a donut and giving a good tip to be treated so poorly in terms of packing my to-go products so inefficiently. Nothing like carrying three packages around town for only four donuts. Seems when inventing their flavors and designing their business, they forgot all about maintaining common sense. Very unprofessional.

Yelp
BIRTHDAY EATS-------------------------- Pro Tip: On your birthday drop into Cartems with your ID and receive a free donut! I picked up their vanilla cake donut because it was recommended to me by the girl behind the counter. Wow it was so fluffy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I can't wait to try all their flavours!
google avatar

Maddie R.

Yelp
Cartems receives a lot of hype for their speciality donuts - and they served just that. We ordered the Citrus Glaze and the Smoked Maple Walnut. Both were Yeast donuts and both were a little unique. Citrus Glaze was very good and very sweet, and the SmokedMaple kind of tasted like an Indian food dish. Nevertheless, we ate them all up. Just slightly disappointed. Staff was super friendly. Donuts were super fresh. They cut our donuts for us to share, which was super helpful. In all, I'd give them a chance. A special treat for sure. Might need to make a return and try some new flavours!
google avatar

Suzan L.

Yelp
A donut a day keeps the doctor away! ...or so I wish. But that doesn't change the fact that Cartems has the best vegan donuts in town. The Earl Grey is amazing and now I don't think I can live without them! I like this location a bit better than the downtown one, personally. Staff are more friendy and the space is excellent if you want to relax or use their wifi (they do have a seating limit now though). Overall I'd recommend this place to everyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth. Oh, and did I mention the Earl Grey donuts?!

Sukh R.

Yelp
So this could have been 5 stars but some prickly customer service turned me off. The sign outside clearly says 6 CUSTOMERS allowed, not 6 people in total. I take me niece b/c she likes the donuts. Believe it or not I'm a first time customer. So there are 4 customers in line inside and one of the employees yells at us to wait outside. Clearly she can't count or doesn't know her own policy. Awhile later, there are 6 customers in line after us and she doesn't notice. Well, I brought it to her attention. She thanked me for letting her know. lol The cashier was lovely, and gave us a bonus donut b/c they were out of the flavour. That was super nice. We ordered the london fog, the lemon glazed and I believe one regular glazed. I thought both were so good. The London Fog came with cream in the middle, it was very light and fluffy. Lemon glazed had a great flavour. I would definitely try Cartems again....is there another location though? LOL
google avatar

Becky M.

Yelp
I finally stopped in here and was glad I did. There's a nice sitting area and lots of light for those who wanna sit down and enjoy their donut & coffee. However, I got my donut to go. I had the Earl Grey vegan donut. I'm not vegan, but I liked the sound of Earl Grey. It tasted great! Good texture and not too sweet. My other choice was the London Fog donut, but it has a cream filling which was too heavy for me at the time. I'll have to come back when I have a bigger appetite for sweets. It would be nice to work my way through their donuts, but since I'm not a frequent eater of sweets that would take a long time. I'd say the atmosphere and selection is worth a visit.
google avatar

Katie T.

Yelp
The only downside of Cartems is that the doughnuts sell out too fast!! They have such a wide range of vegan and gluten-free options and their monthly/seasonal specials are truly sensational. Vegan "eggnog" stuffed doughnuts? YES, PLEASE.
google avatar

Issabelle F.

Yelp
It feels weird that I haven't written a review about Cartems yet. When people ask where to get delicious donuts in Vancouver, usually Cartems is one of three answers that come out of people's mouth. While they have a handful of different flavours and seasonal offerings, my all time fave is their vanilla bean glaze donut. You just can't beat it. It's perfectly made to melt in your mouth. Their london fog and earl grey donuts are also top notch. I love this location because it's quite spacious and they have tables set out for people to enjoy their treat or get some work done. I've never actually stuck around and hung out here, it's always been a grab and go kind of place for me. But it seems like a great place to catch up with friends or bring the kids. You can also get a coffee/tea/something to drink to pair with your donut. For me, it's the usual vanilla almond milk latte. Which they make really nicely. They do custom orders as well, so if you have a big event or want them to create something more personalized, you can just call ahead to place your order. I believe you need to give them at least 48 hour notice. Main point of this review: if you want yummy, melt in your mouth donuts and good coffee, check out Cartems.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
I enjoyed my first visit to Cartems, I had to try another another location. They have fancy flavors and gluten free choices. They sell out fast and early so you have to come early to get the popular flavors. A lot more options at this location. Nice service. Large communal table for seating. Earl Grey - 3.40 CAD - Good tea flavor. Dense donut, not fluffy. Glaze was not overly sweet.

Benjamin H.

Yelp
Solid, above average donuts with a bit of whimsy. Friendly service. I wouldn't be sad if this were my neighborhood donut shop.

Larissa L.

Yelp
Didn't say a thing as I approached the counter but greeted their friends with such friendliness and energy and didn't even get me my third item as they were too busy chatting to their next friend in line, so I just stood there.

Amanda G.

Yelp
I recently brought my son and some of his friends to Cartems for the "cake" portion of his birthday party, and I was really blown away by how great the staff were. That includes the person who took my reservation for the "long table" by phone (they take reservations!!) and explained that I *could* order the doughnuts that spell HAPPY BDAY if I did it at least 48 hours beforehand and they would transport them from their Chinatown location. Also the person who assisted with the doughnut order on email when I had a question. On the day, the staff working were SO kind and friendly, and this frazzled mom really appreciated it!
google avatar

Patricia E.

Yelp
Definitely don't try to go here after 2pm -- they state they are open until 6pm but in the four attempts over 1.5 years I've made, they were always sold out at this time.... Why they do not make more donuts is very odd to me.
google avatar

Vy T.

Yelp
Did you say Earl grey donut?! I'm there!! I tried three different donuts: the Earl grey, whisky bacon and the triple chocolate. The triple chocolate was moist and decadent like a brownie. The Earl grey was amazing, though I'm bias because I love Earl grey. The whiskey bacon was just okay, and you couldn't really taste the whisky. I also got a cup of London fog, which wasn't sweet enough or fragrant enough for me. But do come here for their donuts!
google avatar

WT F.

Yelp
Got 7 delicious donuts from here. 6 went in their box and one went into my mouth. My favorite flavor has to be the earl grey one. I've tried others but nothing beats that one in my books! So why the 3 stars? I knocked off two stars purely for packaging reasons. I get you're trying to be impressive with that big flashy box. I totally get that wow factor. Yeah it might be cool but i definitely don't think it's nice to the environment. I don't know if it's on recycled paper nor do I care because it was just so ridiculously big. That gigantic box for 6 donuts? When I gifted it to my cousin visiting from out of town, he didn't believe it was just six. He was saying it's probably like 12 or more donuts. The reason that box was opened was to prove it was just 6 donuts. I wish they had a smaller box. I don't care if you stack it standing up and not flat. If that's a huge issue, then do a smaller box and stack them flat 3 on bottom and 3 on top. Please do something more environmentally conscious!!!

Yelp
We stopped by for the Hot Chocolate Festival 2019. The line up was long but moved fairly quickly. We ordered one each of their hot chocolate selections with their recommended donuts as with as 6 donuts to take home for a family dinner. The donuts are much better than the grocery store variety. The earl grey donut was my favourite and it tasted like earl grey. The chocolate glaze donut was good too and I could not tell that it was vegan. It tasted like a good chocolate glazed donut should be. The hot chocolates were pretty good. The roseberry white chocolate had a strong rose water undertone. I could not taste much white chocolate there was the rose water had such a strong punch. I actually liked the dark hot chocolate with the cinnamon and cayenne more. There was more chocolate flavour there. There was enough people coming and going that finding a seat was not challenging. There was a large communal table and some smaller tables along the wall and window. I did like the fact they offered a donut of your choice with the hot chocolate especially when this is a donut shop. My family enjoyed the half a dozen donuts ($18) I selected. Everyone was happy trying a gourmet donut after dinner.

Neha B.

Yelp
Simply heavenly!! I have no other words to describe. I tried Earl grey after seeing the recommendations from other people and Vanilla one. I can safely say that these are the best donuts I have ever had. They were super soft until 2 days later as well after I got them. Loved it

Yelp
I was pretty excited to have a vegan apple fritter. Got 3 donuts to go. Got back home, broke a piece off the fritter, and BOOM. HAIR. 100% not mine and baked into the fritter itself. Appetite lost. $10+ gone. Heart, broken.

Yelp
Not bad. This is not my first time having Cartems Donut. Usually its my sister who picks them up and bring them home. So came here pretty late at night and there are still a few donuts left. Not much just 4 flavors. I am talking 9 pm and they were closing at 10 pm. We got the pinacolada donut. Its interesting flavor. I personally liked it but to me, it was not special. I mean it looks special but taste is pretty much the same like a regular donut. Like usual, I got the chai tea and it was good. It has the kick that I am looking for. I like the decor of this place. Its really relaxing. Its big but there are not a lot of seats. Its airy and really comfortable sitting in here. If you are look around and look at the details, its interesting how they hang their plants. What really surprised me here was that they have Ernest's Ice Cream here. I asked if they were related and the donut person told me the story of how Ernest's Ice Cream and Cartems met. They both first operated in the same place making ice cream and donut. As well, she told that very soon the owner of Ernest and the owner of Cartems are getting marry. Congrats to them. I did noticed that in pint, Cartems have different flavors compared to Ernest's. The flavors that you can't get in pint. I would come back for donuts and yes for Ernest Ice Cream in Pint to go.

Kay A.

Yelp
I placed an order for delivery and it's unfortunate that you can't choose certain flavors. I ordered a box of 6. Four of the options were decent but they put in two of the same doughnut. The two similar doughnuts could very well be the most atrocious doughnut I've ever had. It was an everything but the bagel with cream cheese doughnut. Just why? And just why would you put two in my box.

Yelp
I just want to say that I don't come to this location often. Every time I've been here the staff have always been friendly, the store clean and of course plenty of donuts. However, the few times I've come to this location including today there's always a customer with their dog in the store. Some on leashes, some being held. I don't understand the dog policy. Today the one customer was holding his dog but had his dog drinking out of the water glass meant for human customers. One of the staff members saw this and said nothing! To me it's just odd, weird and unsanitary having animals of any kind in a public eatery. Like I said, the staff are very friendly etc etc but to be honest the whole dog thing is VERY off putting. And I suppose it serves me right, I shouldn't have been there in the first place as I'm trying to cut down on sugar. Lesson learned!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I just recently got crazy about donuts! I've tried a couple of Cartems at work but this was his first time. We bought 3 pieces and got one for free! Earl Grey - 5/5 Smoked maple nut - 4/5 Honey Parmesan - 5/5 London Fogg - 5/5 (highly recommend) To top it all off, Patrick had amazing customer service and made our first visit SUPER! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Do you like delicious freshly made, hand glazed doughnuts? If so, hop in here for a treat. They sell coffee, tea, and even pints of Earnest Ice Cream too (all of which organically compliment a doughnut or two...or a dozen..). Tip: Early bird gets the worm, certain flavours sell out mid day. I have only tried the triple chocolate (the one with the choco mini balls on top) and the Strawberry Love. The triple chocolate: sweet and chocolatey- I shared some of these with friends a year ago and they all inhaled them really quickly. They said "I'll just try a bit before dinner....." but then the next thing you know, all their doughnuts were gone. The Strawberry Love: This one I tried today. The bounce back on this yeast-y doughnut was better than kid-Erika jumping up and down on her bed. Bounce bounce. The strawberry flavour is understated, the icing layer was the perfect amount for me, and the glaze reduction (i hesitate to say it was balsamic but correct me if I am wrong) was a nice artistic touch, very understated and delicate to the tongue. I wish it was my birthday so I could get a doughnut cake. Also, I think it's cool that a UBC MBA student created this company. Tuum Est, "It's up to you" and go buy a doughnut.

Yelp
I've gotten boxes of donuts here before. Definitely a solid donut shop although I feel like I haven't really tried anywhere else... Hehe. Anyways I wanted to mention specifically my most recent experience with Cartems. I got the Nutty Misu and a London fog. Felt like the tea was what it was but the donut is to die for. I feel like I like their stuffies more than their regular donuts they have. Besides the Citrus Glaze. I SERIOUSLY LOVE THEM. My only gripe is the seating sucks in the shop itself but I'd travel far to get a box of these.

Yelp
Vegan, gluten free options. The favour is the Earl grey scone. One of Vancouver cool spots.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite doughnut place in Vancouver. My favorite doughnut here is the London Fog, which is more like a stuffed doughnut. It has really good filling made of whipped cream and earl grey tea. Unfortunately, they run out at times, so make sure you get there early (not too early, though, as they come from another location). As for other things to get, I also like the apple fritter. They also offer vegan options as well. However, the London Fog or bust for me, usually.

Yelp
After hearing great things of this donut shop I finally got the chance to stop in and try a donut.man was I greatly disappointed ...We paid $18 for half dozen donuts and threw most of them in the garbage.we started with the smoked maple walnut donut.it tasted like burned smoke and was not even edible.the rest were not that much better.i am not one to leave reviews on restraunts but for the $ I paid and the reviews I have seen I just expected a lot more.

Yelp
Why does this place have such low reviews?! It's so good! I like how both the cake and fluffy donuts have a slight bite to them. It's very pleasant. You can't go wrong with any flavor really. I tried the chocolate tea, earl grey, chocolate glaze, vanilla bean, salted caramel, and smoked maple walnut. I like how the salted caramel was on a chocolate cake donut and that the glaze wasn't overly caramelly. Also the smoked maple walnut donut tastes like bacon. Just so you know. The boxes are cute so they make a great gift! The half dozen box is long so it's a bit impractical to take onto a plane. Just get a dozen.

Yelp
Best vegan doughnuts in Vancouver. The pistachio and mocha hazelnut ones are my favourite but unfortunately they are rotating. Gluten free doughnuts are a bit dry and chewy but the flavour is still good. I recommend the regular cake doughnuts and the maple walnut yeast doughnut. The majority of the doughnuts are vegan which is great.
