Lovely last dinner in Amsterdam, would happily return! Food was excellent & the atmosphere was elevated, yet casual!

We had a great meal! We sat on the terrace which has a super chilled atmosphere in the calm suburbs. The rotisserie chicken for two was very tasty and cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place for eating out or just for a few drinks. There are not many dishes to choose from but I still believe everyone can find something and they won’t stay hungry. The place has a nice atmosphere. Can be quite crowded so reservation might be a good idea.

Short ribs were a bit salty but the taste was epic, it was as soft as it can be. It was really easy to eat. I came here again ninth end of November, here ismsome updated photos with deserts I have eaten lamb shank and crème brulee which wa amazing. As starters we hade artichoke but ı didnt like it that much. It was average. I also put the receipt to make you have an idea about the prices before you go. I strongly suggest you to do a reservation before you go

The best meal I may have ever had. The monkfish was so beautifully arranged with the flavors converging. Wine pairing and service was lovely. One of the best experiences I have had dining solo

Went for dinner with a friend and partner. We ordered 3 mains and 2 items were decent. The burger and bulgur were fine but the gnocchi was terrible. It was soggy and had weird taste. The virgin mocktail wasn’t tasty at all. Furthermore bill was wrong. Spent €95, but the server insisted it was €105, not sure if €10 was added as a tip?

Loved the atmosphere. Enjoyed our 1st meal in the city. Delicious roasted chicken, brussel sprouts & fries. They offer a limited gluten free menu.

Great place close to the Hilton Amsterdam. Sidewalk seating, you can watch people fly by on their bikes and in their tiny cars. Burger was great, very flavorful and prepared perfectly. Fries were superb and the salad was amazing, had some sort of lemon dressing on it. Very fresh and delicious. Staff was helpful. Credit card or cash.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Big portions, unique tastes and if you ask for my experience, I LOVED THOSE CRISPY FRITJES!!!

It was Thursday night and my husband and I wanted a good quick meal in the neighborhood and was lucky enough that Carter had a table available. Food: When we called for a table we also asked if they had any chickens left. Carter does a "roasted rotisserie chicken for two" which is a whole roasted rotisserie chicken that comes with fries and a salad. It's so freaking delicious that it runs out so you have to make sure they have it or reserve it when making your reservation. The chicken is very tender and juicy and just absolutely perfect. I've had a lot of "chicken for two" at restaurants and Carters by far is my favorite. Drinks: We ordered two glasses of Cava. Price: 50.00 EUR for two people. Ambiance: Carter is truly a neighborhood spot and very casual. Everyone is friendly and it's definitely the cool crowd in Oud Zuid without the pretentiousness. There's a small bar area when you walk in (warning it can get crowded and difficult to make your way through when entering), and the restaurant has two small levels. Service: The service is super friendly and efficient. Would I go back? Absolutely. This has become one of our go to spots in the neighborhood. Note: On other visits to Carter we have also tried their lobster bitterballen which was ok, their regular bitterballen are better and their wagyu burger although 19 EUR is delicious.

I was quite dissatisfied with the food here... wine was fantastic and staff even better.. and atmosphere was welcoming and cozy.. but the beef tenderloin was something I'd never order again. I ordered it medium rare and it was chewy and tough to cut and all in all the food temp got super cold within minutes of it coming out (maybe that's because I was sitting outside) but wow! I wanted this place to live up to the rating but it didn't in my book ONLY because of the food... go here for drinks and stay all night. I could have. Super fun.

Walked in on Sunday afternoon for lunch. After several minutes we received menus. Waited Waited. Waited. Saw numerous local people being served while we were very obviously ignored. We left. I hate racist places and racist people.

Nice ambience, great cocktails! However, the service could be better. We waited for 15 minutes just to get the menu and didn't have any attention afterwards though there were just few people in the bar.

So dropped by carters walking around the neighborhood. It's a very busy place. So be patient. Saw many ordered the whole chicken which seems to be popular for sharing amongst two or more. I had the Wagyu burger well cooked and a perfect temperature. Would recommend it. Good job!

Best Monkey-47 Gin Tonic in a very wide area. Very good food, relaxed atmosphere and ample service.

Great atmosphere, if you just want to chill with the local crowd. English wasn't a problem at all. The Kobe Burger was very good and the service was excellent! They have a very fun and friendly staff.

Stumbled upon this gem tonight waking around. We were looking for some local beer, which is why we went in. The service was spectacular the drinks were top notch. Besides beer we each ordered a cocktail. This place gets packed so make sure you make a reservation. We did not eat but the food looked incredible.
