We are just passing through town and had a really great experience. Atmosphere is fun! Service is very friendly and fast! Food was great! Fun bar games and cool old cars.

Fantastic handmade food, excellent service, and some of the friendliest people you’ll meet. The atmosphere has such a great vibe—warm, welcoming, and full of rich history you can feel as soon as you walk in. A truly special place that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend!

Great vibe for those overnight stays in town on a road trip. The owners are super inclusive and made us feel right at home. This place is a gold mine for this place- thanks for the great hospitality!

Absolutely Outstanding — A Del Norte Treasure If you’re anywhere near Del Norte and don’t stop at Carther’s Roadhouse, you’re doing yourself a serious disservice. The food is flat-out incredible — the kind of hearty, perfectly cooked, comfort-meets-craft meals that make you pause mid-bite and say, “Wow.” Every dish feels like it was made with care, pride, and zero shortcuts. This is food that sticks with you — in the best way. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for in a great roadhouse: warm, welcoming, relaxed, and full of character. It’s the kind of place where locals gather, travelers instantly feel at home, and time slows down just enough to enjoy the moment. And the people — this is where Carther’s really shines. 10/10! The food, atmosphere and staff are all incredible! Everything is made to order and staff is friendly and attentive. I’m so glad they reopened! My family and I have been at least once (if not more) a week since they reopened!

Awesome gastropub! About a 45 minute wait for our order, not bad for being short staffed and being a group of 12. Food was very good, hot, sweet tea is great. I grew up in this town, so happy to see a new restaurant!

This was a great place to stop and eat. They were behind and kindly let us know, we decided to eat there anyways and we are glad we chose to. The food did take awhile but it was worth the wait. Customers across from us were complaining even though they were informed of the wait time, however, the waiters handled it gracefully. We loved Leroy! The Cadillac was amazing! Thank you! (Edit) Last year we came at 9 o’clock with three people under the age of 21 and there was no problem. This year we came because we had such a positive experience and we were straight up told to walk out because we had 3 people in our party that were under 21. Ridiculous. It’s not like we’re giving our minors beer, loosing a lot of business. I’m sad to see that this establishment has made that a rule. You just lost about 200 dollars worth of business.

We came to hear RiverTown Folk band play. The place has a bar, pool tables, foozball and a few tvs tuned to sports. Big nice bar to sit around. Service was okay. Margaritas were very good - homemade mix. I had a disappointing hamburger. Nothing special with thin patty. The wife had wings that she said were delicious, cooked perfect and not dried out. The band was great!!!

I'm m so glad they reopened! Since they reopened my family and I have been at least (if not more) once a week! The food Is great and made to order, the staff is attentive and friendly. And there's a good variety on tap. 10/10 would recommend!

Carther David and Kevin you are so welcoming and to be able to hire amazing staff. The other day I stopped and had a burger and then I came back to watch the Avs game and bring some friends. My Benji sandwich was to die for. Fred was awesome so is Amelie, Rosa, KK, Dakota, Zero. I love this hidden gem. Petro signs, old pumps, parts and the garage in the back that had the old cars were historic. I ordered the jalapeño cheeseburger which was perfect it was good as well as my fries. I noticed two young people there I was told that they were there to volunteer. I told Fred the best thing that he could do for them first teach them how to work so many people don't know how to work or do anything anymore. It would be a good lesson for them. This place offers shuffleboard, has two pool tables, the best part, it offers great community conversations. I WOULD RECOMMEND

We stopped here on our way to Pagosa Springs. Enjoyed a Gyro with chips and pasta salad. Cute little place with an eclectic decor, Service was a little slow, but the food was good. We were lured in by the photo of a fry bread taco in a google review, but learned it wasn't on the regular menu. the Gyro was an excellent second choice.

Finally, headed over to Del Norte to try out Carthers Roadhouse. Not sure what took us so long - our loss. Ok this isn't fine dining. What you see is what you get. A menu full of comfort/bar food - everything from nachos, burgers to Banana splits. Oh and how about a Frito Lay chili cheeseburger! Special thanks to our server Chevy for 5 star service. We will be back. Gotta try the Del Norte Donkey!

Super friendly people, and extra delicious food! Happy we stopped by while we were visiting the sand dunes and staying the night in monte vista!

We have found that this place has great food at great prices. Not a huge menu but adequate for a bar & grill. We have found the food to be flavorful. The service is spotty... sometimes great and attentive and other times very slow and we almost feel as though they forgot about us. Ambiance is ok, it has some interesting vintage artifacts.... It's a bar.

Wings are the best! Coconut curry is so good. Fred is a great bartender. Owners are awesome! Good hangout.

Wow what a great little gem. The food was amazing! Coconut curry wings and local brat out of this world. The service was flawless and all servers were super welcoming Then the ambiance and decor was an eyeful of the coolest most interesting things with Route 66/old farm/no smoke pool hall vibe. Will never go through Del Norte without hitting this place and we go through often.

Just a block from the main drag this 50s influenced restaurant and bar sports old automobiles and car related decor. TVs sport rodeo competitions and bathrooms play bluegrass music. Staff is super friendly, prices reasonable, and good hearty.

Such a pleasant lunch. Staff are all friendly and service was quick. There were yummy smells right when we walked in. I enjoyed the egg salad lunch special. My husband enjoyed the Roadhouse burger. There are a few tvs and pool tables. Looks like a fun place. We were there on a Sunday around lunchtime and it was quiet so perfect for a stop on our road trip.

We ate here yesterday. What a great find! Finally an alternative to subway in del Norte. My wife had the chili and cornbread special and I had a sausage grinder that was very creative and delicious. Very cool decor. Nice folks. Great experience.

We stopped on our way through. The special was a cheeseburger with bacon, green chilies, tomatoes, onions and guacamole. It was really good. My wife had the BLT. Loads of bacon. Great service. Kept drinks filled and checked on us several time.

My Reuben was top notch. Large with plenty of meat. I ate half and saved the rest for later. My date had a BLT. Plenty of bacon. She loved it. She thought the potato salad too bland. The mashed potato style. My coleslaw was excellent. Prices are a little high but normal for the area. The large portion size makes up for the price. The dining area is spacious and well decorated. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Del Norte badly needed this place and we plan to patronize it for sure. We are sandwich lovers which fits their style. They were sold out of philly's as the weekend had depleted their stock. I plan to try the Philly cheesesteak next trip. I'm sure they will learn to bolster the order of beef. I'm pleased that their sales are doing well.

Good food! Love the variety (panini was a great blend of tastes). Staff was fun. Decor was entertaining. Definitely a keeper.

Really good food and prices. We got the sliders, a Chicago dog, and wings. The atmosphere is fun as well. The owner was there to help his staff out which is very rare of owners. He introduced himself to us and shared his appreciation. Don't sleep on this place. It's a hidden gem.

The perfect restaurant. Excellent food, great prices, friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. A lot of love went into this place. Super family friendly! We really enjoyed playing shuffleboard with the kids while waiting for our food. The whole family agreed this was an excellent find!!

Had a great lunch here. We ordered Buffalo wings and the Reuben. Both very good!! And the best apple cheesecake for dessert. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is so cool!

This garage-chique restaurant is a real jewel in Del Norte. The food is great...must try the Reuben...and the staff are top notch. The only thing missing is an IPA on the the draft menu.

Kind of an odd little place. We went around lunch time and it was pretty much empty. However, the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

First things first it was busy the evening we arrived. We were seated promptly. The staff was very friendly. The attentiveness left some to be desired. I had the D Mountain it comes with 2 sides and kettle chips. I opted for the green chile and potato salad the potato salad was solid and the burger was a big double patty. The burger was okay frozen patties say it with me SALT! I can't speak about the chile it never came. My wife's 2nd margarita arrived as we were paying to leave they did put it in a to go cup. I did voice my concerns and they were met with an apology and a price discount. A table close to us got up and walked out after 20 minutes of no attention and I heard another table that was offered a discount as well due to the long wait. I do give a little due to customer demand. I also believe that's when you're truly exposed as a business. Overall the food is decent the staff needs to pick it up a step they were very nonchalant about everything. The prices were high all things considered. The nostalgic feel and atmosphere is cool. You guys are very close to being a bad ass go to spot!

We stopped by Carthers Roadhouse for lunch. The special was beef stew and chicken salad on croissant. My husband really wanted the beef stew, but they were out. I got the chicken salad on croissant and he got tuna salad on croissant. Both of our sandwiches were great! They were so big that neither of us could finish them. What made this restaurant most enjoyable were the friendly staff members. I overheard do tone say they were understaffed the day we were there, but that didn't stop them from providing great service with smiles. The next time we are in Del Norte, we'll definitely stop by this gem of a restaurant.

Visited this fun restaurant/bar for the first time and I was quite impressed. The server Julie was excellent, very nice and very attentive. They have a variety of games to play; pool, darts, foosball, corn hole and shuffleboard. We played some shuffleboard after having some delicious loaded nachos and craft beer on tap. It was a very fun and relaxing atmosphere and we can't wait until the next time we come to Southern Colorado so we can revisit Carthers Roadhouse!

Amazing service and the food.... so good! Try the pretzel and the wings! It's worth bringing the entire family out. They have games and it's such a relaxing atmosphere with great food. You won't be disappointed for sure!

Great decor and vibe. Service, food all great and plenty of fun stuff to do. Good sports bar and karaoke. Shuffleboard, pool, foosball.
