I am almost crying over this bookshop. I mean, is it really even a bookshop? Or just someone's beautiful home that pretends to be a retail outlet during the day? My friend lured me here with a brief outline of what it looked like but I was not prepared for the simplicity and coziness (despite the 38C temps outside!) of a space that not only has multiple sections, but multiple levels. And just when you think it can't get any better, you stumble out the back entrance in a page-filled stupor only to discover a hidden garden cafe which is at the time time as spacious as it is intimate. My daughter and her friend abandoned all sense of time in children's section on the lower floor, leaving my friend and I to wander the myriad of subjects and shelves. If it was winter, we may not have left.
The only slight negative is the checkout process at the main entrance where it was a case of who could catch the eye of one of three women working and jostling for position.
I dare you to leave here without purchasing anything at all!
