Caru' cu bere

Iconic and beautiful restaurant with an incredible historic atmosphere. We had the pumpkin soup, the mixed meat platter, and of course the famous dessert , everything was very tasty and well prepared. The live performances added a lot to the experience and made the evening even more enjoyable. Great traditional food, excellent beer, and a must-visit spot in Bucharest.

Very touristy. Did not eat here, only went to the bar for a beer. Long queue on entry just to request a seat at the empty bar (about 6 seats in a roped off section). Staff at bar were great, friendly, efficient. Enjoyed a few Ursus Premium draught beers. What a great historic building. Felt this place is a rushed busy touristy place. Serving staff looked like robots. Enjoyed the beer, and went next door (LeBab downtown for a great lunch).

We had a wonderful experience at Caru’ cu Bere. The food was delicious — we started with bean in the bread soup. Our kid loved the schnitzel with fries, and the grill platter was generous and full of flavor. We also tried the house cake and papanasi, which were excellent and a perfect way to end the meal. The atmosphere really stood out, especially with the traditional dance performance, which made the evening feel special and authentically Romanian. Highly recommended!

The indoor area is much better than the outdoor. Inside was a church and now converted into a restaurant. The foods are not as tasty as I think. I order a soup in a bread the taste was just fine. And the local sausages with fried. The taste of the fries was good, the sausages was not what I like. But it's consider tasty. The price are actually high the soup is 43 lei, the sausages with fries is 5o+lei, and I ordered a sweet ginger mocktail it's cost 30+ lei.

Amazing interior, great hospitable staff, and a vibrant atmosphere. We got to witness some traditional Romanian dances as well. We ordered traditional Romanian Ciorbă de fasole cu afumătură în pită (Bean soup in a bread bowl) and fish with garlic sauce and polenta along with wine and beer. The overall experience was amazing. The staff were very helpful in choosing the best dishes.

A special unique experience. Dancing shows and croud dancing in a restaurant which also present high quality dishes. Atmosphere is a win. Big win. Loud music but it comes with live dancing shows every couple of minutes. If you sit on the ground floor you would take part of it. On first floor there are porches to stand and view below. The food is delicious fresh. Very good first dishes, following by great main courses. The waitors are proffesional and friendly. Though, we had to wait quite long time for the dishes to arrive. Much more than expected. Overall great high quality food and great experiance. A must.

Wow. Wow just wow. The decor and atmosphere in here is incredible. The staff are an absolute pleasure. The food is incredible. And we were treated with some lovely instrumental music. Highly recommend to one and all. I would suggest you make a booking. We took a chance and got lucky.

It’s a really beautiful place. Going in, the first thing you’ll see is the big church stained glass. It’s beautiful how it keeps the essence of a church but it’s better now that you can have fun. The food was great, dishes looks delicious and taste really good. Our waiter was really kind. And it’s wonderful to suddenly see a dance show. Applause! It’s a little bit expensive, but I think it’s worth it.
