Truly iconic. At first I thought it was super touristy but it’s really a whole experience that you must have if you’re visiting Bucharest. We came here on our first night in Bucharest and truly enjoyed the vibe, the food and service. The whole place is beautiful and it was a good “welcome to Romania” vibe.

A must-try if you’re in Bucharest! Our waiter, Constantin Ștefan, made sure we were well taken care of — excellent service, good food, and a lively atmosphere. The place gets super busy, so it’s best to make a reservation, especially if you’re coming with a group. The restaurant itself is simply splendid and truly a key spot to visit in Bucharest. Highly recommend!

We came here on a recommendation from our hotel nearby. This was a fantastic place to eat and enjoy the Bulgarian atmosphere and food. I had a great starter of foie gras - it was outstanding. I then had the stuffed cabbage - very tasty. My wife had the traditional small skinless sausages and they equally as tasty. We then shared a desert! We loved the atmosphere and the beautiful wood carving.

A historic gem of a restaurant! Advance booking recommended! The manager helped us with with a “last-minute” table at 17:00 for dinner as all later tables were booked and we are on our honeymoon - so that was very kind of him. The restaurant’s decor and atmosphere were incredible ! The staff brought us a complementary glass of champagne each to celebrate our special occasion 💍 Service was good, food was great - we had the pork knuckle for two which was very “rich” . We also had the cabbage rolls which were delicious! Overall a great find and a must-do when in Belgrade !

Ambience 10/10, with the setting and live classical music performance. Highly recommend to make a reservation for the balcony seats particularly for the view. The food, unfortunately was average. The confit pork that we had was dry; the cabbage was also not up to expectations (they were sauerkraut instead). We had better ones elsewhere. Chicken soup was good. Service was prompt. Recommended to visit this iconic restaurant in the old town especially for the ambience.

The food, atmosphere and service were phenomenal. We expected a long wait given how busy but were pleasantly surprised. The building is beautiful and the live string instruments made it feel even more magical of a place! Food was tender and seasoned well. Portion sizes was enough for two.

Heard this was one of the better restaurants in the city as well as the nicest interior and both statements were definitely right. We did have a reservation for a Thursday lunch, don't think it was too necessary but I would recommend it. For drinks we got Caru'cu Bere the 400 ml and a Visinata Bran which is a Bran sour cherry spirit. For food we ordered Sarmale Regale or Royal ”Sarmale” which is mixed minced meat rolled in cabbage with polenta, sour cream and a chilli pepper on the side. Then we ordered Muntenească which is a traditional Dish from Muntenia, it's a stew with polenta, egg and grated cheese. I liked the Munteneasca better because of the grated cheese was a nice touch to it. Finally for dessert we orderd Papanași or Romanian doughnuts. This is donuts with sweet cheese, sour cream and homemade jam. We tried Papanasi at another restaurant and this was much much better. Finally we ended it meal with Palinca de Prune Bran or Bran Plum Palinka... super strong but good. Overall nice service and I recommend this restaurant! Also you can pay with cash or card here.

This place is not just a restaurant, it is one of the symbols of Bucharest. I booked for lunch at 12:30 and it was a good choice because at that time many people come to eat, so I recommend booking. I ordered oven roasted duck legs with braised sour cabbage, fresh chilli pepper and horseradish. It was delicious, the meat was tender and fell off the bone. For dessert I chose papanasi, a typical Romanian dessert, it was very good, with lots of cream and fruit jam. The restaurant is wonderful and it feels like going back in time, it is all made of wood with two large windows at the end and two stairs that lead to the upper floor. I thank the waiter Marius for his availability and kindness. If you are in Bucharest you must try this experience.
