Carve: Unique Sandwiches & Pizza

Super nitpicky : Somewhat heterogenous placement of ingredients in my sandwich. If you can look past that, my experience was quite nice. Cookie was a 7.6/10 and my Times Square Bagel (salmon) was a solid 8.5 I added eggs to the Times Square bagel, which made it insanely yummy- but expect ~19$ price. Worth it though. Served food nearly immediately after ordering.

Pricey place, compared to other slices. Nothing too fancy, but still tastes great. For the price of 2 slices, you can almost get a whole pie of similar quality. $15! Still, very tasty. Desserts and sandwiches are probably what’s best to have here.

I personally like this pizza joint. I always tend to pass by it if I'm around the area . Consistently good and nice variaty. If you come as a tourist to try the NY slice and don't wanna go far, definitely give this place a try. It's conveniently located by Time Square 🌃🍕

Fascinating NY pizza, that is not fancy but generous amount with good taste. It was super better than Lambardi's. Dough didn't use tapioca, sauce has taste of tomato and could smell basil.very well. Dough was the typical NY pizza's thin, crunchy but bready dough. Not soggy at all. + this place is being operated by Muslims. Every food in the restaurant is halal.

Went here several times whilst on holiday in NY, always very friendly and helpful staff and the food is absolutely amazing. Thanks guys. Gonna miss you!!

Genuinely the best restaurant near times square. Food was out of this world, and this had to be the best service I’ve ever had in a cafe. 10/10 would recommend going here!

Carve NY exceeded my expectations. The team was very kind and attentive, making the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. The menu has a great variety, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. For the quality you get, the prices are very reasonable. A perfect spot for a delicious and satisfying meal in the city. I’ll definitely return!

Best place in new york, Elias, Hatam and the whole team’s service is exceptional! We had breakfast there everyday and dinner a couple of times, everything was perfect always. We recommend the pizza, salad bar, pancakes and the french toast!

Classic NY Pizza by the slice - amazing!! Perfect balance of sauce, cheese, toppings and foldable crust! Good for late night, easy to pop in and out of, service is great and quick! Seating inside and a few places outside, overall a great spot for a whole pizza or by the slice.

While visiting NYC, I strolled the city alone hungry while my family slept. Carve was close to our hotel, and looked like I could grab a quick bite alone, so I gave it a shot. Although I had already eaten Salmon lox bagels while visiting, their "Time Square Bagel" was hard to turn down. Their bagel was good! Nice and toasty, with that New York flare. However, I felt that there was not enough smoked salmon for the whole bagel. Other than that, the coffee was also very good. Restaurant itself is not the most attractive place to grab a bite, but I still enjoyed sitting and people watching out the window. It was pretty busy, so I figure a lot of people are here often, mainly to pick up food or grab a quick bite.

Place your order and pay at the counter. Mind the obnoxious and entitled tourists that will block your way to front and hoard the seats, come here after the theater goers have gone to sit and enjoy your tasty and piping hot pizza. Sure you will get a better bargain someplace else but if you are in the theatre district but a quick bite, try this no nonsense place. I have...plenty of times!

It's fine. Nothing anyone would ever crave but it's fine. My kids thought it was good but they eat anything.

We visited three times during our stay in NYC. Came recommended by our hotel and it didn't disappoint. Great food, and great service by the staff. It was within walking distance from our hotel, so good the first time and reasonable with pricing we kept going back. Would definitely recommend and go again when we're in the city next.

Cheap, delicious food. We swung by here for a bite after checking out Times Square. All the food places were pretty busy so we stopped in here because it was a little more manageable. Two garlic knots and 4 pizza slices (big slices too!) ran us about $20. Super reasonable especially so close to a tourist trap.

This is a small cafe on the corner of a street near Times Square. Food - It was good, though we only had the items that were free with a ticket from Hotel Edison. Of these, the Homefries were very good, and you can request a special drink instead of the 2 options if you would like. Service - Quick and efficient Parking - They don't have their own parking lot, and walking is usually better than driving in NYC anyway. Overall, this place is good.

This was some of the best I had in the city. Loved the proximity to the theatres as you could catch a slice before or after the show. Very wide selection of food options, there was so much on the menu. The staff were helpful, and quick. The lines moved fast and they kept you up to date on the status of your order. Having eaten here multiple times during my visit this is a definite yes.

Pretty solid spot and was bustlin' with guests! Quick service with friendly staff -- The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and were greeted immediately. Our server was prompt and provided excellent recommendations! I am not a pizza lover but the food here looked so good and the recommendations made by the staff were even better. Plenty of happy guests that kept coming back for more slices -- Despite the crowd, the atmosphere remains lively and enjoyable. Be prepared for a short wait during peak hours, but the efficient staff manage the flow well. It was cute to see families dining there and the kids asking for more slices. The pizza was mildly greasy but the flavors were THERE -- The food at was outstanding. Every slice we ordered was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. From pizza to cakes to desserts, the menu offers a delightful variety that caters to all tastes. I really wanted to try the cheesecake and fruit tart but I was so bloated, I couldn't even fit sweets. Overall, I would come back the next time in NY!

Around the corner from the Edison hotel, we had great service and great atmosphere. We just had breakfast items bagels, muffins & breakfast sandwiches and they were yummy.

Lots of pizza slices here and amazing desserts! The macchiato and cappuccino were perfect. Friendly staff here too. Just a few tables inside.

I haven't tried my food yet, but the customer service was exceptional. The guy at the register greeted me with so much enthusiasm when I walked in, it almost made me cry. I'm a Black woman, and almost every place I've visited on this trip has made me feel unseen. His kindness honestly meant a lot.

Amazing NY pizza. WAY better than you would expect for the Times Square area. Right there with the best of any of the five boroughs.

Not the best pizza that I've had in NYC and not the worst. Open late, on the edge of the theatre district and Hell's Kitchen, hours are a plus. Ambience is fast fast. Service? How many times did I have to tell the guy that I wanted a white pizza, not a Hawaiian slice? I tried most languages for WHITE. Finally it emerged from the oven, and I used the universal translator of pointing at it. The light bulb, dim as it was, went on! They make salads, sandwiches, breakfasts etc. All at about the same level. Won't thrill ya. Won't kill ya.

Quick stop on the way to a Broadway show. Nothing like a classic New York slice. Quick service, reasonable price, and tasty pizza.

Super convenient if you are in the Theater District. Excellent stop for something savory or sweet : lots and lots of pizzas (large slices, thin crust),, variety of toppings), baked goods and desserts (cheesecake!), sandwiches and breakfast items, too. We stopped in a couple of times for a slice of cheesecake to satisfy a late night craving. Can't remember the flavors (strawberry and oreo/cookie maybe?) but they were eaten quickly and with no complaints ! The pizzas looked good, but we had other pizza places we wanted to try. Might give them a try next time.

Discovered Carve in 2022 when seeing Six. Made sure to stop on this visit. Introduced my son to his first NYC pizza. Delish!

Quick clean spot near the theater district to get a wide variety of pizzas, sandwiches, salads and a few entrees at fairly reasonable prices, as well as mouth watering desserts. Table seating available as well as restroom facilities. We ordered mushroom pizza, BBQ chicken pizza and plain pizza. They were all delicious with nice crusts. I'd definitely stop by here again fire a quick snack or lunch before a show.

Carve Café is a counter service café serving a variety of food items, and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We came for the pizza, which was delicious, with a nice thin crispy crust and plenty of melted cheese and toppings. The NY cheesecake was also a tasty end for dessert. For a side note, there were quite a few people ordering the custom-made salads, that all looked very fresh and made to order for each customer. Overall, a very nice café with fast friendly service, and a wide variety of food. We definitely would return on our next visit to NY City. Tips for your visit: Take a window seat after ordering for a great view of people watching.

Ordered two sandwiches because I always expect one to be a scam. Puny portions (caprese was a joke), passable bread, overall uninteresting options and tasteless. The only good thing about this place is the hours and that a family of tourists could all reasonably be satisfied and could all eat here without breaking the bank.

Pizza is super hot and service is fast!!! Absolutely great! Very little seating but if you're lucky to have a table and a chair to sit on, you can people watch out the window.

The morning staff was so friendly and the service was AMAZING. Breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, and pastries were delicious. Their lunch box special was yummy too. They were very accommodating for a large order even during their very busy morning rush hour. Would definitely recommend this cafe to anybody who visits the area AND will come back on our next NY visit.

Delicious! I did not expect much because it is affordable and casual but it was really good!

Carve has great-looking baked goods and sandwiches that I couldn't partake in because they don't have any gluten-free bread, buns, or pizza. The only gluten-friendly lunch item was a build-your-own salad, which was pricey for me at more than $13. Add to that an $8 Naked smoothie (almost twice what I'm used to paying for them), and you have a fresh and tasty but very expensive meal! Service was fine, neither extremely polite nor extremely impolite. It had a nice pizza place atmosphere. No quiet corners to sit in and have a good conversation.

Food and service were excellent. Waffle with fruit was very good!! Prices were reasonable

This sandwich shop was very close to our hotel so we popped in to get some breakfast. I ordered the Times Square Bagel which had smoked salmon, tomatoes, scallion cream cheese and capers on it. It was very good but the bagel was a little burnt. The pricing wasn't terrible for NY either. Not really a great place to sit and dine there as it has a small eating area. We were happy with our choice and would most likely come back when in the Big Apple.

This was a cute quick spot to grab breakfast when arriving in NY. Definitely appeared to be a local favorite because the customers kept rolling in and knew what they wanted right away. Had a little bit of everything on the menu and even though it was 10ish in the morning people were actually coming in buying pizza so definitely check this spot out.

We just needed a little something to start our day and saw this place on the corner. Friendly greeting and then learned they have no decaf coffee. Opted for a cappuccino and a chocolate chip muffin. The same person that waited on me made the coffee, which was unfortunate for those behind me as it took some time. I think the muffin was from Costco and was old and dry. The cappuccino was tasty, but not hot. Overall, disappointing little place.

Stopped in here before seeing a show on the same block. The man behind the pizza counter was very kind and personable. The pepperoni rolls were good, they heat them up in the pizza oven after you order. A bit greasy but to be expected. The drink options in the cooler were numerous, they even had bottles of cream soda. The younger men at checkout were a little less friendly but fine. We grabbed a table outside to eat as inside is pretty cramped. Not bad for a quick bite before a show.

This was close to our hotel so we stopped in for a sandwich one night. My mom and I split the chicken club and it was so tasty! My son wasn't hungry for dinner and so he got a giant chocolate chip cookie. All of it was so good! We decided to go back a second time! My son got a slice of cheese pizza and he said it was way better than the one he got at Joe's. We tried the turkey club and it was amazing! Got muffins for breakfast and they were also great! Would highly recommend! Staff was super friendly and restaurant was very clean.

Good food good service nice atmosphere. My fiancé and I went here twice while visiting NY, we got a pastrami sandwich, coffee, cinnamon roll, chocolate chip cookie, garlic bread and cheese pizza during our visits. Everything was good and good prices.

It's open late and they have pizza by the slice.... Enough said. They also have sandwiches, salads, and desserts.

I went to see a play with my Aunt (well aunt-in-law, but still my aunt). And before the play, we met up for lunch. She suggested this place called Carve. I haven't heard of it until now. There are 2 locations literally within a block from each other. I went to one and waited for her. When she came, she said there was a larger location a block away so we went to that one. Seating is scarce so if you see an open table, grab it. We got lucky and got a table. I will say, the line to order is a bit confusing. If you want pizza and soups you order on one side. If you want salads and sandwiches, you order in the other side. It's a little weird. I almost wasn't too sure where to order from. But I ended up ordering in the right spot. I got the steak sandwich. My aunt got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. The portion was larger than I expected. We both couldn't finish and took home the leftovers. But I was surprised to see that they put fries into the sandwich. I actually liked that. The sandwich was already good but I liked the added bonus of having fries in the sandwich. I am really glad that my aunt suggested this place. I got a chicken parm sandwich for my husband after the play ended and he really liked it. I would 100% go back. This place gets busy really fast so order quickly and grab a table!

Late night Pizza here was not very good and I wouldn't recommend it I wish i had more details but I think there's for sure better options in the city and I came in from out of town so I was dissapointed. I got a supreme slice and it was super doughy with out really much else. Also it was $6 a slice which i guess wouldnt have stung as much if it was halfway decent.

I needed Quick bite before the show. I ordered two slices and they weee heated and served at the perfect temperature. I asked for an extra cup of sauce for dipping the crust. The seating is tight but you don't need much time to eat. I tried the pepperoni and sausage which was good and had lots of meat. I also had a slice of spinach and ricotta cheese which was creamy and crisp. NY pizza is the best. I love thin crust and I love that the sauce isn't sweet. I paid just under $12 for both slices and was completely full!! Cheap NYC dinner!!

Carve Cafe is a great place for good delicious and quick meals. We ate there for lunch and breakfast. The staff are friendly and the guests are from around the world. Big windows with seating to watch the activity outside. Right on the corner.

After a few beers and a not very large dinner, I wanted a slice of proper New York pizza. That's the thing here in Manhattan so let's be a tourist and get pizza. Plain cheese, of course! Well, it was good. Not fabulous but good. A nice sized slice that was made with the right amount of sauce and the right amount of cheese. Just a little drippy with grease as it's supposed to be. I judge the crust to be a little too thick. Sorry, y'all. A bit crazy with people waiting, ordering, paying with not very much organization. That's okay, it's part of the charm. After sushi & prodigious sake consumption we needed antidote for the alcohol, Carve delivered. By NYC standards the pizza was nothing spectacular but still solid, also being a high volume store it ensured the pizzas were relatively fresh. We got the mushroom & the meat combo. The crust were thin & crispy, dough & cheese were sufficient. There were other goodies on display such as cheesecakes & giant cookies of different varieties. Perhaps may try those next time.

Carve... Outstanding New York Pizza by the slice especially late at night after a few drinks. We ambled into this very busy corner pizza joint and we're blown away by the selections of pizza by the slice. A dream, too many options to choose from. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about their offerings. I'm sure they have to deal with tourists like us all the time but that did not deter the great service. It seems like Carve may be a chain, so f that is so then you are in for a great treat because the pizzas are so good.

Food-delicious, fast, reasonable! We stopped in for a bite before heading to a show-it's small, no bathroom, not too many tables-but we had a great experience! If you're looking for a quick bite before or after (not sure business hours) I'd definitely recommend.

Their sandwiches and pizza were delicious! This place was near our hotel and would definitely recommend. No one was rude and they greeted customer. Their bakery items were also amazing! we had cheesecake and cookies and where amazing!

The four stars is the the cheesecake - which as amazing. The other food was two to three stars. My son really like his salmon bagel. The sausage tasted like the lousy sausage you get with a complementary breakfast at a two star hotel. French toast was meh. Prices were reasonable.
