We were in the Hialeah area shopping and saw a Carvel ice cream location and decided to swing by. The location is small and quaint and the ice cream is delicious. The customer service was great and there was not a lot of people online so we were in and out quickly. I will take my boys back soon!!!

Super friendly & helpful staff. I visited this Location with my Granddaughter. She was having difficulty deciding which flavor she wanted. The young gentleman wasn't at all phased by this. She must have had almost a dozen of those tiny sample Spoons by the decided the flavor she wanted. I had a Chocolate Milkshake. It was YUMMY. If you are in the neighborhood & you like Ice Cream stop in. You WILL thank yourself afterwards PROMISE 👍

They didn't bother to fulfill my order by pick up time. I came all the way from Doral and was in traffic for over an hour to get this cake for a co-worker. Not a single employee spoke English so they had to ask a customer to help translate. They said they couldn't refund that I would have to do it online... And to top it off the only other option they gave me was to replace it with a basic cake that is $5 cheaper than the one I purchased. Horrendous customer service.

To the franchise owners, I’ve been coming to Carvel for 30 years and unfortunately I will not be coming back any more. Your prices on the hot fudge sundaes, and your milkshakes is outrageous. The prices on each additional topping is exaggerated, but yet not a penny raise for none of the workers. Carvel on 49th St., Miami.

By far my favorite ice cream spot. Been coming to this location since I was a little girl but Loraine is exceptional and she goes over and beyond making my visits even more pleasant. She has very good customer service.

Delicious ice cream! 🍦Absolutely the best I've cream in Miami! They have a flavor call churros that is incredible. They offer other deserts🍨🥞🍰🍩 as well along with a wide variety of tasty ice cream. Highly recommended!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This Carvel Ice Cream shop has been here as long as I can remember... so probably over 40 years. For many years the place was not taken care of and I stopped coming because it was dirty and not kept well with people working there that probably hated working there and it showed. But we heard they changed owners and gave a go. While the place is still old and dated, at least the place is clean now with a nice and helpful staff. I hope this new owner finds success in this place and turns it around. So far they are moving in the right direction.

Horrible prices for an ice cream cake. I regret even buying after the fact there were no prices on the cakes and after I actually went up to the cash register it's that she told me. It was Easter and I felt bad because there was no other place open to buy a cake. But I will never buy there again. I paid $47 for an ice cream cake. This is outrageous. I tried putting no stars but it didn't let me. but the place is dirty and overpriced.

Amazing ice cream, kinda dirty in the store, cashiers were in their own little world but got my order correct and like I said amazing ice cream!

In front of Hialeah High School, this Carvel was a nice after school treat back in the day. Oh and it is the closest ice cream shop to my house, so make it a family outing as well. That being said, I hadn't stepped inside here for years and I can definitely tell. The staff is different; they actually have women working here now. For some reason or another, my experiences here were always with men. Anyhow, aside from the staff, they changed the placement of the tables and they added another cooler with just empty ice cream bins. They used to provide free water, but that doesn't exist anymore. Needless to say, this Carvel is nothing like that of my childhood. But what about the ice cream? Eh, it's not a big deal. I used to love the soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and that old favorite was what I had, but it simply didn't live up to my memories. It was good but not great. The sizes here have also changed; a lot more variety exists now. Unfortunately, I think I prefer the Carvel of my childhood. This one is merely okay and the fact that the ice cream made me have a slight stomachache soon after doesn't help. Consider yourself lucky I'm not rating lower.

It's been many years since I have been to this establishment, because my last experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and it wasn't the ice cream. The owner was rude. I decided after many years to take my elderly mother for ice cream. Everything went ok. Ordered, received product, all good. My mother had a small sundae with a few fruit toppings which was frugally put on. Getting ice cream supposed to be happy, even joyous! The owner treats customers like he hates what he is doing, and his life! There's too many other places to treat yourself to ice cream. Avoid this carvel. A soft serve with a topping of rudeness, is not worth it!

How can an ice cream shop have such bad reviews Being complete jerks is the way to achieve such an honor My wife really wanted soft serve and since she is pregnant she usually gets what she wants. She had a free cone for her birthday and I was gonna get a shake. They wouldn't give her the cone because the email coupon wasn't printed out. Nowhere did it say it had to be printed but that's besides the fact. They lost out by not giving her a dimes worth of ice cream because of an idiot rule

If I could leave zero stars I would. The staff is incompetent and rude. Don't even know the difference between hard ice cream and soft serve.

I came here with my husband and I took a bite out of my ice cream and it was nasty and cookie dough wasn't cookie dough I'll never come back here again!

They were very friendly to me and gave me samples of the ice creams I wanted to try. They also described each flavor for me so that I can pick which flavor best suited my craving. It was a pretty clean store. Enough parking at the time but it may depend on hours since the parking seemed to be shared with other businesses. Maybe if the parking is full can park in the street temporarily. Few seats in side to sit with family and/or friends.

If I could give a negative star review I would. I like carvel but honestly this carvel location is disgusting. I've gone several times, enough to know that they don't clean anything at all. If you didn't know, they make all their flavors themselves at the location. If the area where customers wait is disgusting, I can't even imagine the back rooms or the machines! while I was waiting for my ice cream all I saw was people screaming especially this old guy that is there always. He screams at all the employees. All of the times I've been there he has been so rude not only to the employees but to customers. This is a horrible horrible place to go to. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Management is horrible.

I love carvel but if you want writing on your cake, I recommend you brush up on your cake writing skills because they can't do it for crap there. I recently purchased a cake from there and had them write on it "Congrats it's a girl" now if you use your imagination... a lot.. you might be able to see that... But it looks like a child wrote it and it reads "Congrats G S a girL"

This used to be one of my favorite ice cream spots as a kid. Went there recently with my family and had the worst - rudest customer service. Two women and the manager who clearly did not care or felt like working. We were treated so poorly here, she barely wanted to serve us or have us taste anything. This place has become a dump. I looked around and there was mold on the ice, glass bins were dirty and just really run down. Everything was super dirty!!! This place was a gem in hialeah and its a shame they have people like this working there. Pretty sure the cakes are expired too. Super disappointed!

Old school Carvel, just like I always loved. The server was super helpful with a custom birthday ice cream cake.

This place seemed like a good little spot to stop at, my daughter wanted the Oreo surprise (cone filled to the top with Oreo pieces, topped with vanilla and sprinkles) unfortunately it was a cone with vanilla ice-cream topped with oreos pieces...the other 3 things we brought didn't look like pictures posted, there was an substitute of some type for each item..but if you come and just create your own item that might work

I had another perspective of Carvel and I decided to visit with the family. Place is filthy the tables are sticky customer service wasn't too bad but it was not the best the employee looked like he was tired of leading with everyone bullshit and like he wanted everyone to leave but ok no hard feelings.. It's a little pricey for the products offered but overall what most choked me was the filthiest that this place had. If I decide to go to carvel again I will definitely visit another location

I love Carvel but hated this one. Showed up on a Sunday afternoon and the floors were dirty, the place needs a scrub down. The attendant was in the back doing who knows what when he could have been cleaning the place. Sat outside to eat our ice creams and the chairs were having a competition to see which could be dirtier. Finally, asked the guy for a cup of water and he told he didn't have one. I HAD TO BUY one. Really!

This is NOT Carvel ice cream i know Carvel and i can tell you that this mix is not the same.. the vanilla was not good at all and Carvel is known for their distinct taste.. this was Not it

I had coffee and coconut but they didnt taste that great. Coffee tasted more like chocolate.

as you can see, yes we went to another carvel store for more free ice cream (acutal it was one treat per person at each store and we are a total of 5 at home)!! we are fortunate enough to have 2 of these close to each other in the city. this is i believe one of the oldest carvel stores around (at least if you compare to my age, cause i used to go here while i was in high school - and that was a very long time ago!!) this store is much bigger than the previous one i wrote about. it is also kept in very good condition and again service there received was great. we did have to call out thou upon our arrival cause employee was towards back of store but immediately attended us. this is a nice store to go, order some ice cream and sit to enough same... but do remember if you decide to do this, bring a sweater/jacket - place is kept VERY COLD AT ALL TIME!!! it is a great place to cool off on a very hot lazy summer afternoon with a delicious creamy treat!!!! love having these 2 locations so near and dear!!!!
