Cary Arms & Spa

We booked a mini-honeymoon at the Cary Arms in one of their beach huts. The beach hut was amazing, with fabulous sea views. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Olivia. Breakfasts were brilliant with amazing quality food. The only (minor) criticism is that the coffee could be slightly better. We ate in the restaurant twice, and both times the food and the service were excellent. We used the spa twice, once for a general relax, and once for a massage - Rachel was great in the spa. The valet parking worked really well. There is a fairly steep hill to walk up to get into town, but that’s the price of the brilliant views (plus, it helped walk off some of our calories from the excellent food) My partner even saw Sammy the seal when she went for a swim in the sea. Overall, we had a brilliant time and would certainly come back. Recommended!

A very special place for me. Every aspect of my stay was furry friendly.|Treats, ball, bed, bowl, more treats and lots of attention and many many more friends, four legged and two. |I was welcomed into the combined dining room, bar, conservatory terrace, and lounge. I was allowed onto chairs and given cushions. The nearby swimming facilities made my three day poodle visit woofers paradise. My third visit snd I’ll be back soon . Maggie x

This was our third holiday at the Cary Arms this year. It was so impressive we decided to return twice.|Our first visit was in June for my 70th birthday. We stayed in the Captains suite which has 2 bedrooms and a large kitchen hallway, bathroom and large outside balcony with table and chairs. Our second visit was in one of their holiday cottages Beach cottage just by the inn. It was a beautiful cottage with a large multi terraced garden, sea views, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms large lounge, dining room and kitchen. We had the convenience of the cottage but we where able eat our breakfasts and dinner in the inn. Our last stay was last week. We stayed for 10 days due to the strike by Tfl and they kindly found us alternate accomodation. I stayed in the inn and my daughter and grandson stayed in Pebble Cottage which is attached to the inn. Both the cottage and the room where lovely. The staff are so helpful and kind and made my grandson aged 3yrs very welcome. They will also run you up and down the hill to Babbacombe downs which was brilliant as l have mobility problems.Superb holiday and highly recommended.

Just returned from a weekend at this beautiful hotel. We booked a celebration package for our anniversary and we were not disappointed. The staff are first class, from the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were attentive and helpful but not intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. |The hotel has a very relaxed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was lovely with incredible views across Babbacombe Bay and beyond from the balcony. Gorgeous big bathroom and extremely comfortable bed. Lots of thoughtful details, including an iron and ironing board. |The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the pianist added to the atmosphere. |Will definitely return

We were lucky enough to receive a gift voucher for a meal, which I have to say was truly delicious. The fish was so fresh you could taste the ocean! The service was friendly yet professional and added to a fantastic afternoon.

Stayed here with my wife for a night mid week in July. In short, we loved it. Our room was very nice with beautiful flowers surrounding the terrace. The view from the hotel itself was just lovely, and there is a reserved eating area for residents. I think there have been a few comments on here about the noise from kids jumping from the pier but we loved watching them have a great time whilst we ate a delicious dinner over looking the bay. The food is good pub grub - but it is very good. Drinks and wine were all excellent. The road down the hill is steep and I managed to grind an alloy on a pothole on the way down which was rather annoying - but they offer valet service once you get there - so no need to think about the car once you arrive. I took 6 weeks off this summer and went to lots of hotels including some very expensive places like the Savoy. Of all those places, I think this was my favourite overnight stay. All in all, we thought it was a very special little place and look forward to returning again.

A very secluded, special place. One definitely NOT to miss. My wife and I stayed in one of the pods facing out to sea. Pebbles. Fabulous! The staff were very friendly and obliging. The food in the restaurant excellent. The most painful part was leaving.

We visited the Cary Arms this week for our anniversary. Although we only live half an hour away, it felt like we were miles away from home.|There was nothing we could fault about the place. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the front of house manager who arranged valet parking for us. We had lunch, which was delicious and also went to the spa. Erin was outstanding, a great experience.|In the evening, my parents came to visit us and we had dinner at the captains table. The food was amazing and the service was perfect.|We can’t wait to go back
