Had an amazing holiday dinner there with friends. Our waiter Dominic was fantastic, so kind and funny - made our experience great. We had the big meatball to start off but it wasn’t our favourite. We had the gnocchi and prosciutto pizza as our mains which were both amazing, large portions and very reasonable. The ambiance was so cute we really enjoyed ourselves.

For us a perfect evening. Hostess was nice and friendly. Dining room was well decorated and classy. Our waiter Roberto was top notch. Arttentive, friendly but not pushy. Food arrived warm and flavourful. We were not rushed so that was nice. Very reasonable prices. This overall experience rarely happens when we go out to restos even at more expensive places so nice to see someone doing it right. Great job Casa 73, we will be back!

Casa 73 delivered a very enjoyable dining experience with a menu that feels both comforting and thoughtfully executed. We tried a wide range of dishes, and the kitchen showed consistency across flavors, portioning, and presentation. The oysters were fresh and clean, paired with classic condiments that let the quality speak for itself. The beef carpaccio was well-seasoned with a nice balance of acidity and richness. The hot dishes were hearty and satisfying — from the handmade pasta to the meat entrées, everything arrived at the right temperature with well-developed flavors. The kitchen clearly understands timing, especially during busy service, as our dishes came out smoothly and without delay. The bar program is also strong. Cocktails were balanced and not overly sweet, with fresh citrus notes and good structure. The wine selection paired easily with the menu, and glasses were served at proper temperature. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Staff checked in at the right moments without interrupting the flow of the meal, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxed — perfect for enjoying a long dinner. A solid spot for seafood, pasta, and classic comfort dishes with good hospitality and a lively dining room. Would gladly return to explore more of the menu.

I’ve been to Casa 73 twice now—once for my birthday and once before a Raptors pre-season game and both times were great experiences. The location is ideal, just steps from Scotiabank Arena and Union Station, which makes it really convenient for any occasion. The food has been consistently excellent, from the mains to the desserts, and they offer some really good specials that make it worth coming back for. The mocktails are also a nice touch. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the service has been friendly and attentive each time. Overall, Casa 73 is a great spot whether you’re celebrating something, going out before an event, or just looking for a nice dinner downtown.

CASA 73 is exceptional in every manner. It is in most probability ONE of the BEST Italian restaurants in our fine city! It recently opened and definitely a must TRY for any FOODIE. My wife/I stopped by on a recent Saturday night spontaneously and were so happy we did so. We have wanted to visit since they opened but just could not find the time…. We had our newborn baby in tow so we decided to sit on the patio and not bother any other patrons inside the dining room. As much as we wanted to sit inside in the truly beautiful design/setting we thought it would be best to sit outside. It was a beautiful night regardless and we had the entire patio to ourselves- which was beautiful too! Marc Andre served us and he was most professional, informative and personable with his friendly service. He was very attentive to our needs and the fact we had our newborn baby with us as well. Wife/I dined on the grilled calamari for our appetizer and it was delicious- though smaller than what we had hoped for and the price point involved. Our MAINS, however, made up for the smaller appetizer portion. My wife had the Grilled shrimp Spaghetti which was truly divine and I had the Roasted Chicken Supreme which was just as equally delicious too. We also had the La Spiaggia 73 cocktail which had mango puree- our fave! And we finished off our wonderful meal with some Neapolitan Gelato- which was the perfect finish to a delightful meal/service night out. We did not plan the dinner or even make reservations ahead of time. It was just a spontaneous dinner out and it was a superb overall experience in a beautiful setting/restaurant. Shout out to Josh and the HOSTESS crew as well. They were ALL very accommodating, welcoming and cognizant our baby girl. Thank you CASA 73. We will definitely be back soon and our daughter Bellatina will enjoy your delectable menu one day soon too! 💯

Server was super sweet and the atmosphere was really nice! I was a little disappointed with the food. The barrata was $25 and came with 3 pieces of toasted bread, could at least be 4 pieces so 2 people can share the app? Thought that was silly but other than that the food was alright, just not sure it was worth the price. Service was great tho!

Writing this as someone who was invited to dinner her and didn't setup the reservation. First of all, the moment you bite down on the food here you will freeze. It is so flavorful I can only describe it as orgasmic. I had a pizza (italian sausage) and some food from bits around the menu. All food was genuinely amazing and I felt like I got my dollars worth and a great dish. The atmosphere is very calm and elegant. I felt welcome but also like I was there to be something more. Very good setting. Nothing outstanding besides that though. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. 4.5/5 place with 5/5 food.

Came here to celebrate my birthday. Food and service were both fantastic. Our server, Mark, was amazing and always made sure we were well taken care of! Chef Jamille is a true professional, both dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back!

As the whole city was out watching the baseball game, we went the opposite direction trying to find a quiet place for dinner and ended up at Casa 73. The ambiance is fancy and feels very staged with dramatic lighting and velvet furniture pieces. We had the lamb scallopini, the fish special with risotto, and started with the grilled calamari. The food was good, if not slightly expensive for the serving size. However, that can be expected of the downtown core pricing. Good service and I could see this being a nice place to start a night out in town.

Our dinner for six at Casa 73, a downtown Tornado restaurant not far from the ferry terminals was spectacular. Not only were each of the six different entrees we ordered delicious, Bryce our waiter tied the whole experience together, with a professionalism and efficiency that is rare to find these days. At one point I asked if he was academy-trained. Don't get me wrong -- there was no stuffiness, but a certain flair in his desire to allow our dinner to advance at a pace and rhythm it deserved. It you're looking for a superb meal with elegant service, ask the hostess, and she just might place you in Bryce's section.

Good addition to the waterfront dining scene. The restaurant was beautiful and the service was great. We were a big group (10) and we had made too small a reservation, they accommodated us with all smiles and I was impressed how efficient things were for such a large group. We shared multiple starters, people enjoyed the giant meatball, my favorite was the burrata. For a main, I had the duck. The duck was great, though I found the accompanying vegetables and sweet potato undercooked, the sweet potato in particular was disappointing. For dessert, the Dulce de leche cheesecake was great.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. The ambience, drinks, atmosphere, the staff!!! Fantastic dinner. We are in town with our friends from Buffalo. We had a warm greeting when we arrived. Our table was clean and well lit. Nareg our bartender took our orders. I wanted a whiskey drink, but not an old fashioned or whiskey sour. He made me a paper plane that was fantastic. I had 2. My wife had the Lady Empress. Our friends had the Hugo Spritz and (2) Limoncello Mules. We started with the grilled calamari. Fantastic. Meals were: pappardelle bolognese, Cioppino, Penne Rustica, and smoked salmon salad. Jill is an amazing server and Bryce paired my Cioppino with a Viognier and the Bolognese with an excellent Pinot. The crem brûlée and Dolce cheesecake finished off a wonderful meal. Thank you everyone for a fantastic evening.

This recently opened Italian concept is tucked away in the Harbourfront area in what was previously a gym. As they recently opened, it was quite quiet as there isn't much signage or foot traffic, and there were some kinks in the food and service. The prices are reasonable, and on par with what you would expect from a typical Italian restaurant. Recommended dishes: Apps: The jumbo meatball was well cooked with a hearty sauce. (I would skip the Burrata - Nothing stellar here) Mains: The butternut squash ravioli was coated in a luscious sauce and well made. The duck breast and confit were well cooked, but the vegetables could've used more attention to detail and finesse. Dessert (not pictured here): The dulche du leche cheesecake was decadent but not overly sweet. Drink: Try Sonny's old fashioned! Although the bar list is not expensive, nor the wine list, I'm a fan of an old-fashioned and this one had incredibly enticing aromas of orange. Overall: Worth a try. Best wishes!

I couldn't find a rating on Yelp for Casa 73 in Ontario so I started this. We were traveling to Toronto to join a Great Lakes cruise. After a day of being a tourist we tried Casa 73 because it was near the hotel. We hit a gold mine! I can't begin to explain why there aren't a large number of reviews on Yelp. Normally I'm a pretty demanding reviewer on Yelp but if I could give six stars to this place, I would do it. We weren't terribly hungry so we split some dishes. First the Caesar salad. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. The dressing was smooth and not harsh. They tossed in some real bacon bits and croutons which made the salad delicious. My wife doesn't like beef but I talked here into ordering the tenderloin. She loved it and I felt it was one of the best pieces of beef I have ever had. It was Canadian beef and I literally cut it with a fork. It was presented with a mushroom wine sauce and we sopped up every drop of it. It was exceptional. The mashed potatoes were light and had a taste I couldn't identify, but they were also amazing. The veggies were cooked perfectly and they even peeled the asparagus with a potato peeler, nice attention to detail. For dessert we got the sticky toffee pudding cake that came with a scoop of gelato. It had a fabulous flavor, I'd definitely order it again. But it must have had about 1,000 or more calories. Our server was Rob who did a great job as did the runners and busers. The ambiance and decor were very high class. The only negative ( and I'm really getting picky) was the background music. I loved the songs but it needed to be turned down a couple clicks. Not much, just a little so conversations didn't have to compete with the canned music. We are only in Toronto for a couple days but we might go back tomorrow. If you are in downtown Toronto make Casa 73 your highest priority, you won't regret it. Also, remember the menu is in Canadian dollars so you can drop them about 30% if your credit card is from the "States." Couldn't be better.

Not sure how or why there are one star ratings here. Ambience is great, food and service even better. We had 5 people for dinner. Ordered branzino, sea bass, mixed grill, seafood risotto and veal milanese. Each entree was fantastic. Highly recommend Casa 73

Went in for dinner on a slower Friday in the city around 5pm from out of town. Wait staff was knowledgeable and quick with refills/seeing if we needed anything. Jumbo meatball appetizer with bread was outstanding. The gnocchi and veal piccata dishes were delicious as well. Cool atmosphere, although a tad bit hard to find in the corner of a downtown office space. Would recommend if you're in the mood for Italian or steaks, menu was full of good dishes.

The food, the service, the ambience - Casa 73 has it all. I was there for an early dinner and was a pleasant walk in surprise.

Well, I'm going to start with the only good thing and that was the ambience. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess and were seated. Our waiter came to the table. He did not introduce himself and wasn't very engaging. We looked at the drink menus that had no pricing on it. We ordered some martinis and a couple glasses of wine. We were shocked at the price for a glass Chardonnay. It was $37. The cost of the martini was $29 and it was in a very small martini glass. When we questioned the waiter about the prices, his answer was I just work here. As far as the food goes, the gnocchi Barada was very bland. The Margherita pizza was actually a cheese pizza with four or five basil leaves in the middle of it. The sauce for the pizza was like tomato soup The meatball was average tasting, but I will say the beef carpaccio was excellent. The veal Milanese was tasty. Prices are very high and the service was very slow. Our waiter seemed to hover over a table across the dining area and stopped by our table maybe 3 times. Not very impressive. I would not recommend this place.

I made a reservation for four people based on yelp reviews. I honestly don't know how they get such a high rating. It was not a busy night... Maybe six or seven tables in the restaurant. The gnocchi was tasteless, the margarita pizza was covered with mozzarella cheese. No tomato and four or five leaves of basil in the middle. The appetizer meatball was OK. The beef carpaccio appetizer was very good. Service was so so but here's the kicker. We got our bill and my friend had one glass of house Chardonnay that cost $37. Her husband had a house of glass red wine that was $29 and my husband and I both had martinis which were approximately one and a half ounces for $29 each. Huge rip off. We were so stoned when the bill came. We asked our server to please bring back the menu so we could check the pricing. He did but the drink menu and wine menu had no prices. So perhaps it was our fault. But again $37 for a glass of house Chardonnay is outrageous. I'm not sure what's going on this restaurant, but I don't think they will be in business very long.
