Casa al Sole Boutique Hotel (Island of Ischia, Campania) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There’s no bad place to stay on Ischia, but Sant’Angelo, a picturesque fishing village at the island’s southernmost point, may be the finest. A handful of hotels are tucked into the whitewashed buildings that line the car-free streets, including Casa al Sole, a boutique hotel that feels more like the private home of a stylish Italian friend." - Tablet Hotels

Casa al Sole is beautiful. From the minute you enter there is a lovely atmosphere, friendly very stylish and calm. The rooms are individual, very clean and fresh with panoramic terraces where they serve you breakfast. The large terrace/bar is a perfect spot to watch the sunset with a spritz. A minutes walk to the pretty harbour/beach and the interesting shops and restaurants. ||It’s a short water taxi ride to the bigger Maronti beach, and on the way ask the boat driver to take you to Cavascura Terme thermal spa to be painted with mud treatment then soak in thermal stone baths!||||Thankyou. We will be back.

We dropped in for one night at Casa al Sole after a yacht charter in the Pontines. An achingly stylish boutique hotel with spectacular views over Sant’Angelo, elegant rooms with lovely textures and design and classy toilettries - the beautiful tiled bathrooms are huge and a feature on their own merit. Sant’Angelo is just a charming little carless hamlet at the foot of a rock bursting with gorgeous shops and wonderful restaurants - you’re dropped by taxi and a tiny electric put-put transfers you to your door. A highlight of thre hotel is the vast terrace overlooking the bay, perfect for a spritz as thr sun sinks over the horizon and hip guests sway to groovy beats. We took a continental breakfast on our terrace high above the beach. We also ate at some lovely restaurants and staff were friendly and helpful. Am just sorry we could only stay one night!

We had a wonderful stay here! San Angelo is so peaceful and relaxing and the hotel was an absolute reflection of the neighborhood. Our room was beautiful, the AC worked wonderfully, the balcony with breakfast each morning was perfect. Can't wait to return!

After a ferry from Naples and an hour's journey in a really packed bus from Ischia Porto, we arrived at Sant'Angelo, a quaint and pretty little village dominated by a huge rock. We were welcomed and our cases were taken upstairs (no lift), and were shown our room. We were delighted with it - it looked out to the rock and to the sea, and had a balcony - the setting was most picturesque. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were able to have our breakfast on the balcony. The village has a number of interesting shops and restaurants - a little pricey perhaps. And there are beaches nearby, thermal pools and opportunities for local walks. Buses can take you round to many of the other towns and villages, including Forio, near which are the marvellous La Mortella gardens of Sir William and Lady Walton. Recommended hotel.

There is NO WAY this can be the number two place in Sant' Angelo. The Casa del Sole can be accused of false advertising: it is BETTER than advertised. This is just a fantastic place to stay, for a very reasonable price. We were here for four days in June, and we could have stayed another week.||The only downside to Ischia is that you have to pass through Napoli. Save the hassle, take a taxi train to port.||The Casa del Sole had a good sized room, fantastic view, great patio and a friendly, knowledgeable host who obviously loves Sant' Angelo and his hotel. I had to unplug one lamp to charge stuff. The WiFi was good, medium fast. The room and bathroom were very clean, everything works, shampoo and soaps provided. The towels were changed daily and he even gave us two extra to use at the beach. The breakfast was more than enough, and great to eat out on the patio with a fantastic view. Location is central, good recommendations for beaches, restaurants and spas. ||The day we left, we caught an early ferry to Positano, and we were provided with cappuccino and donuts for breakfast.||Look. It is sort of a hassle going through Naples to get to Ischia. (You could go Rome to Salerno, then ferry boat Salerno-Positano, the Positano-Ischia as of 2015). That being said, this is a fantastic little beach town on a very cool island. And I didn't even get into the hot springs, and the spas, and...||Stay here. You won't regret it.

Great experience - in every sense. Stunning but quiet location at the southern part of the island called Sant’Angelo, away from the crowds, offering marvelous views, impeccable efficient and friendly service from all staff members : very responsive and Lucia is always ready to satisfy any request in record timing. She always gave the right advice for restaurants, beaches or sightseeing. Highly recommend this place, even during the busiest week of holidays (« Ferragosto »). Enjoyed a lot the fresh breakfast served every morning on the private terrace of the room.
