We were positively impressed from the moment we walked in the door. Entertaining music was playing at a volume that was comfortable for conversation. Chips, salsa, utensils and menus were placed on the table before we were seated. Our server, Astrid, could light up the room with her friendly smile. The service was courteous, the food was fresh, excellent and served quickly. And the cleanliness surprised me so much that I took photos! I had never seen booths taken apart this way for cleaning, and again, I was very impressed!

The food here is absolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The margaritas? Chef’s kiss! So yummy and refreshing — definitely try one (or two)! Great atmosphere, friendly service, and a menu that does not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back! 🌮🍹🔥

Excellent food! Without a doubt, the best Mexican rice we've ever tasted! The birrias are featured prominently, and the waiter recommended a hidden appetizer of Birria Egg Rolls. The salsa was excellent, which caused us to eat too many of the light, crispy corn chips. We were disappointed that we had to pass on dessert, but we'll have the puff pastry nachos when we go back.

The food was amazing — the rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked. hibiscus margarita was the star of the show — refreshing, smooth, and just the right balance of sweet and tangy. And don’t skip the salsa — it’s top tier! Can’t wait to come back.

Love the concept... it is a small dining area but does have patio seating. Excellent service. Very friendly. Food is excellent. The Guac is fantastic and the Trio cheese enchiladas is topped with fajita chicken. And their rice is perfect! Will go back when in this area again

OMG the best mexican restaurant ive ever at at. 1000% will go back Guadalupe was our server and loved her she was on top of her job wonderful lady ❤️. The portions are plenty enough to fill you up and have left overs. Ive told everyone they need to go here.

Trust me when I say get here on Saturday for the shrimp ceviche…and bring an appetite because it’s big! Lots of menu choices and nice atmosphere. Small outdoor area when weather is nice. Highly recommend!

Food is always delicious and so is the service! Margaritas are excellent peach is my favorite with Tajin and Chamoy! The audience is great, always clean tables are always bussed! It's a very industrial vibe. My favorite dishes are Birria Ramen, Birria quesadillas, shrimp tacos and guacamole. The best Mexican in NWA in my opinion!!

Late night dessert at the bar. Bartenders friendly. Watched them pour some tall drinks. The hubby and I had our weekly dessert and made sure it was a good one. The hot churros with deep delicious vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup and deep dense whip cream satisfied our sweet tooth. Enough for two. Service excellent!

Super tasty Mexican food at a tasty price. The chips and salsa are good, the birria is fantastic, and the carnitas are quite tasty. We had great service and enjoyed our meal. I'll be back to try some more thangs.

Fantastic food and Micheladas! Michelada was a 10/10! Husband was estatic when he saw the bartender making it with Maggi sauce. Hibiscus margarita was 8/10 - really good flavor, not bery strong. Guacamole was 10/10. Lots of lime and cilantro. Birria tacos 9/10- super good. Nice cheese/meat ratio. Consume was perfectly salted. Three tacos: 7/10. Asada and pastor were good. Carnitas were dry. Cheese enchiladas (minus chicken on top): 8/10. Will return!

Stopped here after my nephews little league game and enjoyed some vibes and tacos. I'm from Atlanta so I didn't know what the Mexican food game was like but this was a 10 out 10. The service was friendly and the guacamole was great as well. I ordered the tacos which arrived on a wooden platter and the flavor was great. My family enjoyed a chimichanga which looked delicious. The bacon wrapped shrimp looked great. The pizza birria was fire as well. The quest was refried beans was bomb.

Went here on Friday around 5pm and it was about a 1/2 hr wait for a party of 7. They do not do reservations, so we waited outside in their lounging area. The service was good, but everything took awhile to get to our table. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The restroom was clean, but the lock on the men's bathroom did not stick--per my son. All the food was delicious, some items better than others, but overall pretty good. I need to come back on another day during the week to see if I have the same experience with wait times. Fun spot to have dinner!

Stopped by for dinner 40 minutes before closing and got seated right away. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming as we were entering the restaurant to be seated. Our server had great suggestions regarding menu items which were refreshing! They have plenty of items on their menu from Queso birria to skillet nachos. I ordered their Queso Birria as well as their Tacos De La Calle that comes with a side of rice and beans. Both items were incredibly delicious and definitely worth it. The inside has a great atmosphere, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the Springdale area!

We just moved to AR in October and had never heard of birria. Today was our day to try it and after a lot of research we chose Casa Alejo's pizzabirria . I couldn't believe how lean the meat was and nothing was greasy. The onion came through but wasn't overpowering. The tortilla was crisp and was filled with the flavorful beef and cheese. I didn't even need the consommé. I expected it to be salty but it was seasoned well nothing was overbearing. It came with chips and salsa that are also outstanding. The salsa has some heat after a bit and the fresh cilantro shines. We are for sure sold on the birria hype. Side note we got this as take out. It sat for over an hour but was still perfection.

My girlfriend recently tried this place with her friends and had a really good experience. She ordered the Birriaramen and had been talking my ear off about it for weeks. Today, I woke up and decided it was time to see if it was any good. The inside was awesome--open rafters on the ceiling, plenty of windows, and exposed brick along the walls, giving it a very industrial aesthetic. The music added to the vibe; it sounded like classic ranchera songs. The salsa had a smoky taste. I would've liked it a little chunkier, but I loved how cold it was. The queso was very thin and runny but had great flavor. I tried a bite of my lady's quesabirria with the consommé, and both were delicious--the meat was so tender. She described it as hot and flavorful. My shrimp tacos were also packed with flavor. The shrimp was excellent--not too fishy--and you could taste everything on the taco: the tomatoes, the onions, the cheese, and the hint of lime. It was excellent.

Only been once but good meal and drinks for the value. Great service. Looking forward to trying more items!

Arrachera was okay, service slow and liquor pricy but, overall it was good. Here today at Dia de Los Muertos festival, crazy busy outside.

This place is the bomb! Huge portions and priced right. Everything I have tried there has been amazing! The guacamole is really, really good! Restaurant is clean and tidy with nice decor. The servers are always friendly and ready to assist. The drinks are great too, albeit I don't think the extra cost to upgrade to Mezcal is worth it. Stick with just the tequila.

We went to this place on my weekend after hearing about it for months (or years). Despite living on the outskirts of Springdale, I don't go downtown often -- but Casa Alejo is a real gem. We went at an odd time. 3 P.M. on a Monday and the food was top notch. It can be easy to skimp out on the basics of a menu (nachos, for example) but this restaurant gives you high quality ingredients and a lot of food for the price. There's plenty of seating and some TV's as well if you wanted to go to watch a game or something. Plenty of Mexican food in NWA, this place is at the top.

This restaurant has a very sophisticated decor, great service, and really excellent food. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the luxurious surroundings. Initially curious about the high rating with low numbers of reviews, but I'm sure this will have 5 stars after 300 reviews! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! When I touch down in Springdale and want Mexican food the first spot I now think about is Casa Alejo. I have been going to taqueria's all over and Casa Alejo has taken your everyday amazing taqueria dishes and turned it up to a higher level Mexican cuisine dining experience! The chips are rich and strong in flavor and always as fresh as a corn tortilla chip can get. The salsa and hot sauce are what to expect from a good restaurant. (Spot on) I get their asada fajitas and they're great.(4 tortillas come with it) The restaurant is quite popular and steadily busy during dinner, it's a happening place. I've referred family member there who are also advocates for good quality REAL Mexican food and they were also very impressed. If you're looking for authentic Mexican pull up to Casa Alejo!!

Came here with a friend for lunch on a weekday! I love seeing downtown Springdale come back to life, and this place is such a great addition to the neighborhood. My aunt swears that this restaurant has the best guacamole she's ever had, and she orders guacamole often. We weren't hungry enough to get an appetizer today, so I'll add that to my list for next time! They bring out chips and salsa to the table as soon as you sit down. The interior is large, clean, and well-decorated. I love their exposed brick walls and the cool pallet box design behind their bar. It looks like a more upscale Mexican restaurant compared to some of the other ones in town, coupled with prices that are still affordable. When I saw a birria section on the menu, I knew I had to get that. I went with their Birria Ramen which was fantastic! It was served with tons of birria meat and of course came with the necessary garnishes of onion, cilantro, and lime. The birria juice was rich and delicious. The serving size was large and definitely filled me up. My friend got the Quesabirria tacos (they were able to make them dairy free for her) and she loved those too! We didn't get dessert this time but I'd love to try their churros when I return. I'd highly recommend having dinner here next time you're exploring Downtown Springdale!

Chorizo queso, fajitas, Birria tacos, and the margs were all spot on! Our group loved this place.

The food is always 5 as well as the service...which is a treat! We brought our sister tonight and she loved it.

Revisited and had the mostly delicious Birria pizza. My mom ordered the carnitas plate and the meat was caramelized and delicious! Good service and will continue to return !

Best employees EVER! Gabi and Chris stayed after hours and helped us dig through the dumpster for my husband's Invisalign. We tried to get them to go home but they insisted on helping, and they found the Invisalign! So thankful the caring and hardworking nature of the staff. Gabi was also our waitress and did incredible, top notch service all around. Go support these guys!

Stop on for a drink and appetizer. The restaurant was very crowded. The wait was long but we found a spot at the bar, love when that happens. Ordered a michelada with queso flamedo( had mushrooms and chorizo. Very good and very filling. Hubby had the asada steak also very good. We will visit again!!

Really enjoyed this place. Chips and salsa at the table before we were seated. We added guacamole. Our server was very attentive without being annoying. Restaurant seemed to be well managed. I had the quesabirria. It was delicious. Meat was perfect. My Husband had a pastor burrito and enjoyed it, as well. We shared a tres leches cheesecake. It was very good, and not overly sweet. Highly recommend. We definitely will be going back.

Best food in NWA!! They are always friendly and greet you with a smile when you walk in. Always a good to spot when im in town!!

What a great find for a town in Arkansas! Admittedly waited a little bit once I was seated for someone to come talk to me. But once that happened the service was turned to a 100. Melanie ended up being fantastic and the food was top tier. Guacamole was on point and the Trio Enchiladas were so good and filling. When I'm back in Springdale definitely hitting downtown and returning.

Food was great!!! Service was good, a bit too attentive but it was busy and they probably wanted to flip the table. Nice ambiance too. The downtown area is turning into a great spot for weekend fun! I would come back here for sure.

I love Mexican food. I don't love the everyday Americanized Mexican fast food. This isn't that. It's been a while since I've had such a great dining experience. I had the carnitas. The pork was absolutely the best I've had. Well flavored succulent and no fat. My partner had the PizzaBirria. I was a little dubious. Mexican pizza? Wow!! Excellent flavor. Delicious meat. We enjoyed left overs the next day. The service was prompt and courteous. We were well taken care of. We'll be back.

I had the grilled shrimp tacos, and my wife had the steak street tacos. All was delicious, and the service was friendly and fast. Our only negatives were that today at lunch (4/14/25) the music was too loud, and it was pretty chilly in there. We will definitely go back (with sweaters).

Probably my favorite Hispanic/Tex Mex food so far in NWA. The food is fresh, very tasty, always consistent, and presented well. We have been here four times and will go may more times. Friendly staff. Get there early. Always a line

Enjoyed a luscious lunch at Casa Alejo. The folks there are very welcoming. Atmosphere is chill. Service is excellent. The Quesabirria Tacos are full of flavor and melt-in-your mouth deliciousness. The drink La Fina is well-crafted and refreshing. Looking forward to a return visit!

Amazing food. It is so fresh and beautiful plated. Excellent pricing and wonderful employees. Service is always fast and friendly. You will come back again and again. If parking on Emma is an issue, there is plenty of parking around back behind the building. You can walk up the short alley path between buildings and enjoy the mural art.

Really good food and the atmosphere was nice. If you go, I highly recommend the vegetarian burrito. It was delicious! My only concern was that it took over an hour from the time our orders were taken until the food arrived. And, for our table of 6, it took almost 15 minutes from the time the first plate arrived at the table until the last plate was brought out.

My friend and I split a pizza birria and it was amazing. This was a first visit for both of us and we will definitely bring friends and family.

An interesting name for the restaurant. I really doubt that a person would leave home if they had food this good. I would consider Casa Alejo a New Mex (trendy, chic, hip) restaurant with traditional authentic roots. Not to be confused with New Mexican. As an example, some of the items from the menu: PizzaBirra, BirriaRamen, and Waffle Fry Nachos. Authentic with a modern twist. Refreshing! It was tough to decide what to try. With a little imagination I could taste the flavor coming from the picture of the Arrachera; carne asada done right. The magnificent looking carnitas won the photo contest though. My choice. Delivered to the table was a platter of perfect pork, tender, juicy on the inside and crispy fried crunch on the outside. Rice, beans, guacamole and a chunky avocado salsa, completed the meal. Excellent and recommended. My wife went with the Poblanas. Three steak filled enchiladas covered with a very rich, and savory, mild poblano pepper sauce. Another excellent meal. Perfect salsas (hot and mild), and great service in a modern comfortable restaurant with a full bar. The quality of this restaurant is backed up by over one hundred perfect reviews on Google (4.9-stars) Springdale has been rejuvenating their downtown, with beautiful upgrades to the street, sidewalk and landscaping. It is looking very nice. The street in front of Casa Alejo is now open so, close parking is again available. Enjoy!

So far very tasty! Excited about this place and to try other items on the menu. Got the tacos and the shredded chicken nachos and both were full of flavors and amazing portion size.

Fiancé and I have been here multiple times and every time no matter time of day has been great. Service and food has been on point each time. Little pricey but food is amazing!

I was here 2 months ago by my self. And just like before Casa Alejo delivered great food. The service is great. Angel was our server and all ways check on us. The food came quick and hot. Che led on water refill and even the salsa and chips. Even though this was at noon lunch and they were packed, we were in and out in a short time. Great place!

This place has only been open for 3 weeks at the time we ate here. The service was kind & quick, and all the food we ate was delicious! We went the whole 9 yards and had an appetizer, entrees and desserts. We didn't get to try their drinks yet because they are so new they are waiting on their liquor license. However there is an entire bar set up, and I imagine if the drinks are half as good as the food, they will be great! For an app, we had the Queso Fundido with Alambre (steak and veggies). Omg- the steak was so good! For entrees we had the Waffle Fry Nachos with a mix of chicken and steak- SO GOOD. Definitely can't go wrong with this choice. The tacos were also delicious and surprisingly the vegetarian ones had the most flavor. Both the rice and refried beans were awesome. If there's anything you need to order here it's dessert. The churros were sooooo good, perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside!! Next time we come I will definitely be trying the sopapillas. For ambience, the place is very minimally decorated but in a tasteful way that had a nice, modern clean vibe. I wish the lighting was a bit dimmer, as the fluorescents were pretty bright. The bathroom was very clean. 100% would recommend you try this for your next date night, girls night out, etc!

Waffle fry nachos are highly recommended! I think everyone in our party got them this trip!

The pollo alejo was absolutely amazing! Chicken was tender and the bacon wrapped shrimp was delish! Highly recommend the Guac. The taste was incredible and very creamy! Refried beans were superb. Great atmosphere and good customer service!

I frequent this restaurant for lunch and the food has been consistently good! The service can be hit or miss depending on who is present. The atmosphere is nice with a modern twist. They plan on opening an a new location which is exciting and well deserved!

Food and atmosphere are excellent! Definitely sit in the patio area! I got the burrito with french fries inside. A must.

Casa Alejo is our go-to Mexican place and we love the $5 happy hour margaritas. The food is excellent with good flavor and the service is always good. They do a great job of accommodating a large party when they can. We highly recommend it!
