Casa Alternavida | Best Wellness Retreats in Puerto Rico

Spent a wonderful 3 nights at Casa Alternavida with Yancy and his team for an EO Cleveland forum retreat. It was hands down the most impacted I've ever felt after a retreat. The venue and accommodations were very nice, food by Marisela and her team was excellent and the views were outstanding! Would HIGHLY recommend the property for any sort of personal or team work.

I met Yancy at an EO event — a moment that felt accidental, yet aligned with uncanny precision. That very same day, I had been searching for retreat and wellness centers in Puerto Rico. Life rarely deals in coincidences; it deals in divine timing. Following that instinct, I booked my first solo retreat. And while it’s impossible to fully articulate the inner changes that unfolded, I can say this: they’ve become subtle yet powerful threads guiding me toward a fuller, truer version of myself. Casa Alternavida is a place I recommend wholeheartedly — for individuals seeking clarity, for couples wanting reconnection, for families craving grounding, and for teams aspiring to grow with intention. Every person here brings a different kind of nourishment: for the mind, for the spirit, for the energy we often forget to protect. Through food, nature, presence, and genuine care, they create an atmosphere that restores you from the inside out. I didn’t just discover Casa Alternavida; it rooted itself into my life. A unique experience for a truly transformative breakthrough. I’m not sure where to start, but from start to finish it was a first class experience. The food was a blend of a 5 Star restaurant with the love and soul of a home cooked meal. The complete immersion of the experience unlocked a new level of self reflection, deep thought, and facilitated guidance tied it all together. As an EO Forum, we all grew individually and as a group.

I highly recommend staying at Casa Alternavida! It’s a beautiful place and the staff goes above and beyond!! If you are looking for an amazing retreat from the world this is your place. Everything was well orchestrated with detail and care. The lodging, hospitality, and outstanding food make your time spent at Casa Alternavida stress free and nothing short of amazing. This is a true retreat from the worries of the world. I highly recommend taking advantage of all of the amenities they offer to include the day trips, evening beach time, rooftop yoga, breath work classes, massage and more. I will be returning to this place for sure.

My group went to Casa Alternavida for an EO retreat. Yancy, the Owner, curated a beautiful week full of an activities and delicious food. We played in the waves, hiked and SUPed which gave us a good feel of the area and time to connect with our group. We went out to eat one evening and got a fun dining on a local farm. His team made us delicious meals at the CA residence which left me feeling fueled and satisfied. Chef Omar goes out of his way to connect us with local ingredients and you can feel the love that goes into his cuisine. All and all this was a unique and incredible experience that I would do again. Yancy will also customize the week based on the group’s needs. This is actually the second CA time visiting and I look forward to the next time already.

So much gratitude for our wonderful host and guides at Casa Alternavida. Yancy was an attentative host with a wealth of holistic knowledge. We shared community meals and deep talks which I personally enjoy. Before we arrived, Glenda spent time getting to know us to help us plan our journey. Glenda safely retrieved and dropped us off at the airport. We were happy to spend time with her and learn about the local area. Chef Yvonne is magic in the kitchen and I adore her sweetness. She served up old traditional Puerto Rican dishes with a focus on meals with anti-inflammatory ingredients. We had fruit and flower infused water and lovely smoothies. Jenny's athletism and adventurous spirit kept us challenging ourselves. With her joyful essence she shared the wisdom and love of her home. She is very knowledgeable in the history and landscape of Puerto Rico and we appreciated everything she shared with us. Precilla is sunshine in a bottle. We were lucky to be greeted with her warming smile every morning for our yoga class to get us stretched and moving before our excursions. We were also blessed to be part of her cacao ceremony and enjoyed her soft energetic relaxation massage.

A perfect experience for someone wanting to relax and look inward. I felt extremely safe the entire time, great proximity from the airport and amazing staff and guests. You can talk to others as much or as little as you like. The landscape is breathtaking and demands your attention. My favorite part of the trip was the quiet moments in the tree line watching the birds and feeling the wind. The food was absolutely incredible (like make your body dance good) and the energy was even better. The staff was extremely kind and accommodated my picky diet and early coffee time request. The bugs weren’t bad and with the wind you really don’t see them much. I stayed for 4 nights and thought that was a perfect amount of time. I would highly recommend Casa Alternavida!
