NIXTLI cocina mexicana- mallorquina de autor

Interesting dishes there are on a good path but they need more refining. The fish taco and the bocata de calamar were both ok, but not impressive, they were both lacking a punching flavour. The taco de lengua mallorquina was my favorite, followed by the cocinita pibil bao. The food overall is interesting and with a little more work, can become something really special.

Great tapas, perfect to share, we tried the bocata de calamar on ensaimada bread, the bao with avocado and beef, the taco of the day and a crunchy tortilla with corn and fish. Very friendly service, the chef also came to greet us and to make sure everything was to our likings. Location outside is very nice, the tables inside a bit dark and less airy, but it did not matter to us as the food was incredible.

Food was insanely good…such great tacos, excellent bao buns (had to order another portion) and the drinks were delicious too. The staff are super friendly, chatting to us and giving their recommendations. They are very accommodating- we wanted to be seated inside but saw several people be moved outside when a table became free. They were a bit understaffed and warned us that the service might take a bit longer but it was a perfectly acceptable wait time. Really enjoyed our experience and we will return again when we are in Soller!

Accidentally stumbled into this place looking for another restaurant and very glad I did. The guacamole and patatas were great but the squid was incredible. Although the food was the best I had in Soller, it was the service that made this place great.

The service here is truly amazing! You can tell how much the staff cares and wants to give you the best experience from the environment, to explaining the food options and their recommendations. Each time they dropped something off they would re explain it to make sure you knew what was next. The food quality was great, and the presentation very unique for each dish. Thank you!! If you are in the area this is a great place to stop!

I usually start the reviews by defining the type of the place but I can’t tell what type of restaurant this is supposed to be: Mexican, Mallorquín or just a generic tapas bar? Or maybe an Asian fusion experiment since they also throw bao into the mix? Honestly, I don’t think they know either… What I do know is that the food was as bland as it was forgettable. They dress it all up with a drizzle of sauce and a token leaf to look “gourmet” but let’s not kid ourselves, this is just basic, ordinary tasteless food (tbh even the presentation isn’t appetizing, just see the photos). They’re also served in portions so tiny they could pass as samples at a supermarket (we were still hungry and had to go somewhere else for a proper meal afterward). If you enjoy paying premium prices for style over substance in this kind of touristic settings, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re after actual flavor, quality or value, keep walking…

Amazing service! Couldn’t recommend this place more. The waiter was 11/10 so helpful as I’m coeliac and also just great vibes. The chef also made himself known. Amazing evening. Would go back again
