Casa Andina Standard Machu Picchu

I stayed for one night on Christmas Eve and was surprised to experience no loud noises or crowds! The room was very clean (Thank you Kevin), comfortable, and I would return for another stay. The staff were very welcoming and kind, with a nice view of the river. The tea station in the lobby I found as a nice gesture, Until next time!

My wife and I had the best time at Casa Andina Standard in Aguas Calinetes. The hotel location is excellent, close enough but still away from the main market. The hotel staff, especially Jorge at the front desk went above and beyond to get us a really nice room by the river. It was just magical being there.||The breakfast buffet spread was one of the best as well. Amadeo and his team in the breakfast area took amazing care of us from getting us the best cappuccinos and helping us with local recommendations.||Thank you again to the entire team and Casa Andina Standard for making our first trip to Machu Pichu a memorable one. We look forward to staying with you guys again soon!

The staff were great! Especially Ruben! Thank you Ruben! So helpful and friendly. The room was clean and had everything we needed, it had a bit of a smell when we first got there - musty, like feet, but we opened the window for a bit and it got better. The breakfast was amazing! The best breakfast we had in Peru, and the view was spectacular!

An enjoyable overnight stay for our short visit to Aguas Calientes. Luggage uplift at station on arrival before 1st visit to Mach Picchu.|Short walk to Bus Terminal and Rail station. Good choice of restaurants close by. Easy access to town centre for shopping.|Check in after return from the magnificent Machu Picchu was fast and efficient. River view room was spacious and well laid out. Good sized shower facilities.|Good buffet breakfast to sit us up for our early morning visit to Machu ...... good start to our day.|All in all an excellent choice for your stay for you adventure.

Casa Andina is well located near shopping, restaurants, bars, and train station . It features a nice breakfast buffet that should please North Americans and Europeans. The rooms are well-sized and efficient, and the rain shower is great. The staff are very helpful. They will store luggage and answer all your questions. ||There is no air conditioner, so the rooms can get a little stuffy if the night is warm. The ceiling and an open window help, but the window shade, said to be necessary if mosquitoes are about, limits cooling. ||Our third-floor room faced the train tracks, so we heard the night trains. They didn’t bother us greatly, but light sleepers might have trouble. Rooms in back, on the river are quieter, but a friend told us that mosquitoes can be a problem. ||Speaking of mosquitoes, we encountered no-see-ums at Machu Picchu. Our Picaridin repellent, generously applied to all exposed skin, kept us bite free. Long pants and ling sleeves are advised, lightweight and airy if possible.

Absolutely fabulous experience on every level! Delicious breakfast amongst grand paintings of the 16th century colonial period, friendly and helpful staff, delightful atmosphere, beautiful building, great location, and comfortable bed and room. Make sure to leave time to enjoy this hotel.

This hotel was in a great location; in the center of town and close to the train station and bus stop. |Bed was good; bathroom was nice; room even had a small refrigerator. |Breakfast was plentiful including small pancakes; eggs; juices; fresh fruits.

The hotel is a veyr basic one but good for one night. It is right next to the station where you alight from the train. However to board the train is at a differnet area. Staff were ok and breakfast was average. The rooms have no airconditioning. I had a good view of the river.
