Casa Aranda is one of those places that instantly feels special. The moment you take a bite of their crispy, golden churros—especially when dipped in that thick, rich hot chocolate—you understand why people have been coming here for generations. It’s simple, it’s comforting, and it’s absolutely delicious. Whether you're starting your morning or taking a sweet break in the afternoon, there’s something magical about sitting there, enjoying the moment. If you’re in Málaga, you can’t miss it!

Google
A wonderful place for breakfast, a mid-day coffee or whatever you desire. This establishment is genuine in that it's not just for tourists, but also frequented by the locals. Great taste, quick service and affordable prices make you want to revisit.

Google
Casa Aranda is no doubt the best place for churros in the Old Town ✌🏼 They serve real, original ones - they aren’t sweet or anything - totally different than we used to elsewhere. They almost feel like air! Coffee’s not good here at all but this place isn’t about that 👌🏼

Google
This place did not disappoint. Fresh churros and excellent chocolate. Add friendly service and you have a wonderful spot to take your day to the next level ❤️

Google
Best churros in Spain! Good service, cheap and you can't imagine how delicious the churros are. The atmosphere is crazy, pure Spanish🇪🇸 There is always a huge queue, but believe me, it's worth the waiti and you get a seat really fast.

Google
The churros’ taste surprised me, the flavor is very similar to Chinese 油条. However, I would suggest eating with hot milk instead of hot chocolate.

Abi Gail

Google
They said it is the best churros you'll taste in Malaga but for me no because it was not hot nor warm and it was chewy like gum .Though I'd say 5🌟for the service from the staff, attentive and fast, coffee was alright. Location was just perfect.

Farah

Google
The churros are delicious and fresh. I recommend to order hot chocolate to dip your churros in. Also the prices here are really low.

Yanan L.

Yelp
Really nice churros. Would be a 5 if finding a server wasn't difficult and if I didn't get hit with five flavors of local teen geek bars sitting outside. The outside view is great. Chocolate is very thick and rich.

Yelp
I can't remember how I found this place-so good, visited twice. First time was in the morning. Ordered a Cafe Con Leche. Loved that they brought out the coffee and poured the milk in at the table. The Bocadillo with olive oil/tomato sauce was delicious. That said, I wasn't expecting to construct the sandwich but it worked. Second visit was in the evening. Had the Churros which are continuously made fresh as they stay busy. My Hot Chocolate was thick, rich and perfect for Churro dipping. They close for a few hours after lunch and open back up late afternoon. Worth the wait for an outdoor table. Service is fast and friendly. Don't miss this local favorite!

Yelp
Their churros soft and choco drink jus right for the consistency, not too sweet.u must try their sandwiches like tuna, ham and cheese and the jamon.service is fast and great.

Yelp
The first and best of 3 places we tried for churros in Andalucia. Their churro was soft and airy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Their milk chocolate to dip the churros in was thick and creamy and totally made the churros. I'm so sad we found it as we left Malaga. No other place in Seville compared; especially the long line at the disappointing El Comercio. So sad to not get to eat it again.

Yelp
If you want an awesome cup of chocolate and yummy churros, this is where you will want to go. Malaga was one of the ports on a cruise we recently took, and friends that we made on the ship introduced us to this place. I'm real glad they did. There was quite a group of us and we were shown to an area that was up on the second floor. The stairs to get up there were not for the faint of heart and I was real impressed that our waiter was able to carry all of our orders up to us without much trouble. I think they are known for their hot chocolate and churros so that is what my husband and I got. The chocolate was so thick you could almost stand your churro up in it. There was also seating out on the street and it was quite busy. If you need to use the bathroom you will find it across the street. It was quite small and I think it might have doubled as a cleaning closet......but it got the job done. The price for our two cups of chocolate and four churros was only 6.30 euros. It's a good thing I don't live close by as I think I would be a frequent customer. Having said that though, I DO plan on going there in the fall when we cruise to that area again.

Yelp
Looking for Chocolate & Churros while in Malaga? Then head over to Casa Aranda! Their perfectly crisp churros and smooth hot chocolate was our dessert of choice. Fast, friendly service, in a cozy alleyway that was great for people watching. There was both indoor and outdoor seating available. Enjoy!

Matthew W.

Yelp
First time trying Churros con Chocolate and it was amazing! Super affordable place for a quick snack. Churros are made fresh and on the spot. Tasted very similar to Chinese fried bread. They also have really good coffee here too. If you are ever in Málaga, give this place a try!

Randy H.

Yelp
My family was recommended to go to this establishment by a food tour guide for the churros and the chocolate. It did not disappoint. The churros were light and delicate. We dipped them in a thick delicious chocolate. Take the time, have a seat, enjoy the churros and consider trying one of their coffees.

Claudine V.

Yelp
Love this place. What's great find. Love the churros. A must when you come here. A great place to have a snack of humongous churros and dip or drink the churros in hot chocolate. Love love love.

Angelo B.

Yelp
I actually don't really like churros (neither the Spanish nor Mexican styles). This place didn't really change my mind... tasted like flavorless fried dough just like it does at other places. The chocolate "milk" that they served with it was tasty and thick. We shared one (and 4 churros) between two people, and that was more than enough. Price was very reasonable, especially given the location in the touristy area. Lots of outdoor shaded seating

S D.

Yelp
This is the place for churros and chocolate. For cafe con leche, where they pour the milk into your coffee from a steaming pot. Local flavor. Delightful.

Alice C.

Yelp
When in Spain, got to get my churros and chocolate. Casa Aranda is a large cafe, taking up the downstairs of 3 buildings, which is great as you can sit outside and enjoy the Spanish sun. Their churros were cooked perfectly, hot and crispy, with that just right crunch. The chocolate is more milk chocolate than the dark chocolate of their counterparts that I had in Granada and Madrid. Nevertheless still creamy and rich, I was using my spoon to pick up every last drop. Best part, at 0.50 a churro and 1.70 or so for a chocolate, you can eat your fill without breaking the bank.

Manette A.

Yelp
Great location in the heart of city center. This place is famous for their churros and thick hot chocolate. Went here several times and they are delicious.

Russell M.

Yelp
Great place for coffee and churros. Watch the world walk by while being serenaded by accordion music from street musicians.

Reid I.

Yelp
I believe there are 2 locations. We went to the one that was less crowded and was able to find a table outside. Very good place to start off the day. Prices are very reasonable. The churros was excellent. It came out hot and crispy and the the chocolate dipping sauce was delicious. Sandwich was also great.

Chris B.

Yelp
Simply some of the best churros you can have in Spain in a very old school and authentic setting. Churros are made fresh to order and are a perfect mix of crunchy, soft, and greasy. The chocolate to dip the churros in is also wonderful. So much seating that you will rarely need to wait long.

John H.

Yelp
This is the most preferred place for churros in Malaga. It's also a great place for some breakfast, coffee and to people watch on the edge of the central market. We probably screwed up our churro order, our lack of Spanish the culprit, but even though it was plain it was still a good way to start our day touring through Malaga.

Stevie B.

Yelp
Great local cafe, good coffee and churros!! It was already super crowded when we got there and for good reason! Mix of locals and tourists

Jamie W.

Yelp
Casa Aranda is supposedly the best place to get churros in Malaga, and it seemed to be the only place as it was packed all hours of the day. We got the to-go option and walked to a nearby plaza to eat. Here's the thing - these were some of the better churros we had in the south, but they still weren't great. They're basically large greasy dough strips (think funnel cake without sugar) and the chocolate tastes like it comes from a mix, not melted chocolate. If you aren't heading anywhere else in Spain, give this spot a try. Otherwise, save your churro eating for another town.

Olivia S.

Yelp
You get 3 options at Casa Aranda: 1. Churros 2. Coffee, Tea and/or juice 3. Sandwich Very simple. There's no menu however, it's guaranteed you'll enjoy what ever you choose. I choose the ham and cheese sandwich, fresh squeezed orange juice and churros con chocolate. This was the best breakfast I'd had in Spain. The churros were light and airy and the chocolate was rich and delicious. The sandwich was fresh, the bread to die for and the cheese oozing just like I like it.

Margarita W.

Yelp
This place was exactly what we were looking for: authentic and a local favorite. You know a place is good when it's filled with old locals and the waiter hands out newspapers for them to read. You know it's good because there was no menu. You know it's good because you could see them making the churros and the waiters all had smiles on their faces. We ordered the traditional breakfast: churros y chocolate and tostada y cafe. Tostada is a piece of toasted bread and the waiter asked if I wanted it with butter or olive oil. I chose butter obviously and it did not disappoint. The coffee was strong and perfect served in a glass. The churro was simple and not sweet. The chocolate was not too thick and not too sweet. Perfect breakfast.

Nina H.

Yelp
I sort of just ran into this place without realizing I had bookmarked it. It was just in a narrow alley with a bunch of people all with churros. And being the monkey see, monkey do person I am, I ordered some chocolate and churros despite being stuffed from lunch still. The churros were good, not quite as good as I expected from seeing all the people, but the churros were fresh, crispy, and the chocolate was ok. The service is really fast, I got my order in about two minutes. It's not the most friendly service, but it's efficient. I like how you can order per churro instead of racions, which were usually way too much for me.

Vy Van K.

Yelp
First time trying churros and chocolate. I've had the crappy amusement park versions before but these were on a whole another level. The churros were substantial in size, light, airy, crunchy they chewy. Amazing consistency that you dipped into thick chocolate drink. The churro itself was not sweet but dipped into the semi sweet chocolate was an absolutely heavenly combination it nearly brought tears to my eyes!! Do not miss it! A deal for less than 4 euros for 3 churros and a chocolate!

Mathieu B.

Yelp
I'm such a freaking Tourist, I felt pretty pathetic and rushed by sweet sweet sugary chocolate. I tried repeating something on the menu, the guy understood and asked me something and I just said: Si with confidence. Ok so I ordered 2 churros and 2 of their chocolate drink. It's pretty much eaglebrand (carnation milk) with chocolate that's mixed and boiled together. It's stupid good, I pretended to drink one and use the other as my order was super legit and wasn't lost in translation. I needed more churros, You basically need 4 churry per chocolat drink, so I ordered another 6 and ended up cleaning both chocolate drink and eat 8 churros. I was sweating balls having my heart beating too fast because of sugar and sweatness. That was a pretty cool experience.

Sana R.

Yelp
Churros gave us a bad greasy feeling afterwards! Churros come with a side of dipping chocolate as they can not be eaten alone in our opinion. These may be how authentic churros are, I am use to the non greasy, flavored churros sold in the states. Coffee was not good either, it was bitter with a weird aftertaste even though it came with milk : ( The service was disappointing, we had to walk up to the front several times to let them know we are still waiting for items. I felt like they did not give us attention because we were tourists, however my husband spoke Spanish and we were very kind.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Thanks to my checkin app, i'm getting around to reviewing this place. And it reminds me to come back here, especially after seeing all the other great reviews. we stopped here for a few beers while waiting to meet up with some mates. But it's the server who comes to mind in this review. He was so funny and he sang. Basically anyone in Spain who smiles and serves food and drinks gets 5 stars. Normally service comes with bitter hate. Service here is terrible. But the waiters here are great! Note to self: must come back

Mister S.

Yelp
This place was good! Quick service, delicious and cheap! We paid less than 5€ for chocolate and 6 churros. Great for a nice coffee date or dessert.

M. E.

Yelp
Friendly staff and quick service. Ordered coffee with milk, churros with hot chocolate and ham/cheese toasties. The sandwiches were warm and buttery. Best part was the churros (light and non-greasy) dipped into a thick hot chocolate...super yummy!

John T.

Yelp
Great place for chocolate y churros. The clientele turn over quickly, so there's never a long wait for seating.

Patricia D.

Yelp
Beware! The best and the worst! First visit it was the best chocolate (thick and not too sweet) and crispy non-greasy churros I had ever had. Second visit the next day was less than average. Thin tasteless chocolate and doughy greasy churro she! I sent them back and they were just as bad second time around. I actually went back a third time because the first time was the best ever. And, they were fantastic again and the waiter Jose Miguel was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Overall, pretty hit and miss and I assume they need to fire one of the chefs. Go on the right days and it is outstanding.

jackeline v.

Yelp
Easy to miss!! But don't miss it! This place is super casual, tables outside, locals with papers, and two/three items on their menu. One is their sandwich which has ham, an gooey cheese and tomato. The other is their churros, who locals love as much as tourists do. The prices are fair, and the food taste fresh as they make it to order. Def recommend this place for a good breakfast. It will set to the tone for an awesome day!

celia s.

Yelp
Great hot chocolate and the best churros in Malaga. The place is always full. Waiters are efficient, though not too friendly. All of Malaga seems to gather there one time or another. Coffee not great. It's an experience, don't leave Malaga without trying.

Marine B.

Yelp
They sell churros (€0.50 per churro, €2 the chocolate cup for dipping), service is efficient and they are conveniently located right in the city center. However, they totally lack charm - the goal is obviously to get you in, stuff you with chocolate, and get you out so that other tourists can take you place...

Priyanka P.

Yelp
Deliciously light churros with mellow hot chocolate . Popular amongst locals . Great service with a very happy atmosphere . People chill all day . Seeing families enjoy their coffee and hot chocolate with churros was a heartwarming experience . A must visit for everyone to get a taste of real local Malaga culture and taste

Mad M.

Yelp
Packed with the locals so we knew it was good. Knowledge of spanish language not necessary. Chocolate con churros is all you need to know. Heavenly churros unlike any we have ever tasted. Light, fluffy and their chocolate thick and bittersweet. You can watch them make the churros.

Penny L.

Yelp
Excellent churros and chocolate. Coffee is not too shabby either. Locals and tourists mix together although the locals seem somewhat bemused by all the picture taking.

Colleen H.

Yelp
The churros are amazing but the hot chocolate is out of this world! I had read it was a good place but you never know until you try it. I Definitely recommend!

J S.

Yelp
No complaints: quick service, good breakfast snack, good location. I ate all of the chocolate that came with the churros, very mild and agreeable, don't feel guilty ;)

Eshwary Y.

Yelp
If you're in Malaga, don't forget to stop by! You won't regret the light airy churro!

Mohammed G.

Yelp
Like everyone here recommended. The Churros with Hot Chocolate are not to be missed. I tried them in some other places in Malaga, but no one could beat Casa Aranda. Also try the Cafe Bombon.

Natasha N.

Yelp
Best Churros in Malaga - one of the best we tried in our road trip in the South of Spain. Definitely worth the visit - your taste buds will thank you!

Ruth R.

Yelp
There churros con chocolate is out of this world. Every time I go to Malaga I have to visit a couple of times. The churro is always fresh. They completely melt in your mouth. Oh! I cannot forget the chocolate that you dip the churro in. Heaven in mouth. This place is one of the originals in the city center. It is a must see.

Michael L.

Yelp
Cheap churros con chocolate? Count me in. During my trip to Spain, I was looking for a place where I could quickly get some churros during the day for a decent price, and Casa Aranda is the place to be. There isn't a menu and everyone just gets the churros con chocolate and for good reason! They're some of the lightest churros I've ever had (I got two more orders of churros after my initial order) and the chocolate is rich and thick, a perfect complement to the churro. Overall, you have to stop by Casa Aranda, the place is always packed, but for good reason!

Amr H.

Yelp
Overhyped, overpriced oily churros served by rude waiters in a badly deteriorated coffee shop. You'd better spend your time, calories and money somewhere else.

Laetitia Serena S.

Yelp
I love their hot chocolate and churros . I would go to Spain right now if I could just to have some. I wish we could find the same products here

Zack N.

Yelp
This place was really good! A little tucked away and difficult to find, but intimate and relatively quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of the major streets surrounding it. The server was not social, but efficient and fast. My wife had a cafe con leche (coffee with milk) and I had the churro and chocolate. Their hot chocolate is closer to chocolate pudding than chocolate milk. Extremely rich and delicious. I had to Order some water and milk just to dilute all the sugar in my blood. The milk was the only fail. Disgusting, room temperature, possibly the nasty irradiated milk Europe accepts for some strange reason. The churro was great, but not quite what my wife was hoping for. Don't expect the sugar and cinnamon type, but it is light and fluffy and very hot, perfect for dipping into the chocolate milk / pudding. The coffee had the kick of Arabian coffee without the grounds at the bottom, very strong and tasty. A little adventurous for the palate of a tourist perhaps, but worth seeing how the Spanish enjoy their take on a coffee house surrounded by locals.

Ling Hui W.

Yelp
Churros with chocolate was excellent! Different from the usual sugar/cinnamon dusted churros; different from the usual plain churro with dipping chocolate as well. The batter for the churros at Casa Aranda was surprisingly airy and light, but with a nice chewy texture and that perfect crispy fried outer. Came at the perfect temperature - hot but not burning, and the chocolate was not too sweet and not too thick. Tip: you can ask for milk to thin out and drink any remaining chocolate in your cup. Service was fast and the wait is more than worth it, though you can order churros to take away at the end of the store. Definitely a must stop midday pick-me-up in Malaga!!

Serhat B.

Yelp
A great place to have a quick breakfast. We had coffee with milk, churros, sandwiches and hit chocolate for the kid. The sandwiches are not amazingly unique but pretty good. Others were great. Great value for the price. Nice outdoor seating. Overall, it was a great experience.

Raina R.

Yelp
Hot chocolate and churros...wow. both piping hot and delicious! Ran in from the rain...service is quick. Hot chocolate is the "pudding" style stuff you get in Spain and Italy. Husband loves it. I just love the hot churros.
