This is one the nicest places I’ve stayed in terms of value for money, service and staff support. The rooms are small but cute and the overall space really nice and located in a nice area. The staff are exceptional and go out of their way to help organise tours, shuttles or assist with any things you may need. Would highly recommend.

We had a really nice stay at Casa Azabache. The room was clean, well decorated and the mattress was confortable. The staff was really nice and accommodating. We need to iron so they let us use theirs. Big hello to Samuel ! We would love to come back !

I had a really good stay at Casa Azabache. The room was clean and cozy when I got in and it was maintained as such during my entire stay. The staff were very accommodating and kind, they gave me good tips on how to plan my holiday in San Cris and area efficiently, which I really appreciated. They also added extra blankets for me when I had complained to them about the cold mornings (not the hotel's fault obviously, we've ruined the planet and now it doesn't know how to keep the climate at a comfortable temperature for me). I feel like I got good value - I had a shared bathroom room and the staff cleaned the bathroom after every use. It had good water pressure and after a few minutes, good and consistent hot water which was key. The kitchen area was also very helpful. Thanks for the nice experience, Casa Azabache!

Good location, friendly people and well priced. The packages including tours are competitively priced but I would not go on a tour again: too much waiting, time schedules are not kept and we had a broken van which caused further delays (fair enough: we received a refund). The ‘suite’ which was advertised really is more like an room in the attic with a slanted roof (see photo). Tall people will bump their head. Maybe the regular rooms are better?

The hotel itself was lovely, such a nice place, and the staff were exceptionally helpful, sending us links to things to do and advice which was really appreciated. The rooms were quite compact but very clean and well laid out. We had access to a fridge and kitchen area, which was also helpful. The location of the hotel was a short walk from the centre and made it easy for us to get to and from the pick-up points for trips, and when going for food and drinks.||The only reason I have not rated this as excellent is due to lack of sleep. I'm personally quite a light sleeper so I really struggled to sleep here. The rooms, although absolutely lovely, are very close together and quite thin walls, so you could hear everything. The hotel has a no loud noises policy from 10pm - 10am but there was still a fair amount of general noise from other guests (one morning I was woken up at about 7am by an American speaking on her phone, in her room). I'd certainly love to stay here again but would have to bring earplugs!

I stayed here for 4 days and loved this hotel. The interiors are warm and inviting and I loved the layout, with a traditional patio and large common area. Even better, I liked how the windows would shut tightly, so I actually zero light getting into my room - made it easy to fall asleep. Staff is extremely nice and helpful.||||While this hostel is slightly distant from the central plaza, it's just a few blocks from the major artery - Real de Guadalupe - so it felt just distant enough to get a break from the city, but close enough to enjoy it.||||I also think the price is great for what you get.

What a nice place! The location is perfect, the rooms and shared areas are super clean, the staff is friendly, and the garden with hammocks are great for relaxing. Samuel helped us with arranging some things for our crossing to Guatemala. He’s the best!

We stayed in this hotel for three nights and really loved it. The staff is very helpful and gives good tips on were to eat or go to have a nice time. They offer good tours as well! The main street is just a couple of minutes from the hotel. Furthermore, the beds were the best ones we experienced in Mexico so far and the rooms are very clean. If you want to cook they have a fully equipped kitchen. We would definitely recommend you staying here.
