Casa Azul Havana

We spent 5 nights here and loved it. From the front desk to the ladies that do laundry or ironing, the entire staff was truly exceptional. Guests enjoy tremendous service here at every level. The two front desk reps do everything from exchanging currency to serving as concierge without kickbacks or biases. Rooms are modest but have electricity practically all the time. In a country of long and frequent blackouts, reliable power is a rarity outside of central Old Havana. The location is superb for walking to lots of excellent restaurants and all the main sights in Old Havana. Breakfast on the roof is very pleasant although it requires climbing a narrow wrought iron spiral staircase. When weather is inclement, breakfast is served in two lovely historic dining rooms. Upon concluding our stay, we felt like we had made many friends...in fact, the whole staff qualified as new friends. Casa Azul Habana on Calle Habana is an excellent choice among the tremendous variety of private "hostals" in Viejo Habana. Don't confuse it for other places called Casa Azul but NOT on Calle Habana. Just tell taxi drivers that the hotel is located across the street from restaurant Habana 61 which is also excellent.

The hostal is very central to all the sights and sounds of Old Havana. Rooms are clean, compact though adequate. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the rooftop was lovely. However, just remember it is Cuba, with all its challenges...

Great central location in Havana, which made it very easy to get around — though being so central does mean it isn’t the quietest place. The room was clean and had all the basics needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was fine, but the real highlight was the staff and concierge, who were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always happy to assist with recommendations or arrangements. Overall, a solid homestay option in a very convenient location.

Very good hotel, clean, well located, excellent breakfast on the rooftop. People were nice and helpful. The situation is very strategic in Habana vieja. Close to the museum of the revolution and the museum of bella artes. And close to restaurants and bars

Stayed here as part of a G Adventures tour. Great home base in Havana. Friendly and helpful staff and very centrally located. Breakfast was on a beautiful terrace and had great fresh fruit. Would definately plan to stay again if ever in Havana again.

Azul Habana is a great place to stay, full of Cuban charm and character, and in a good area, easily within walking distance of some of the key sightseeing areas in Havana. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is served on the roof terrace with plenty of food choices. The staff are always smiling, very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying at Azul Habana.

This casa is located in the best part of Havana, Havana Vieja, and there are a few nice restaurants right outside. Staff is very friendly and helpful, any question you have just ask them and they will try to help any way they can. And they are available 24/7. Rooms are nice and comfortable, clean and with A/C. They serve breakfast in their lovely terrace and they offer a great selection of food and drinks. |I would definately go back there if I am in Havana.

The rooms were OK & they changed bedsheets every day. It was super loud though because the windows didn’t have any glass. The breakfast was OK with lots of fresh fruits. The coffee though was horrible. The staff didn’t know how to prepare sunny side eggs! 😵 The registration desk people didn’t give us any suggestions where to eat or what to visit.
