Casa Bariachi has a warm and lively atmosphere, and the live music and dances definitely add a fun cultural touch to the experience. However, the food fell a bit short for me. Some of the dishes arrived a little cold, and the homemade tortillas didn’t have that fresh-off-the-comal feel I was hoping for. I also noticed there weren’t many gluten-free options, which made it a bit challenging to find something suitable. Overall, it’s a great spot for the ambiance and entertainment, but the food could use some improvement.

Google
A wonderful place for dining and live entertainment (mariachi and ballet folklórico). This can be family friendly place or perfect for a date night. The food was delicious! We tried several dishes. Service could improve as it took a while to get drinks, then food, and they rarely checked in on us—we had to flag them down a number of times to get what we needed.

Google
Authentic Mexican cuisine, vibrant mariachi music, and a festive atmosphere make Casa Bariachi an unforgettable experience. The food is flavorful, portions are generous, and service is excellent. Their margaritas and tequila selection are top-notch. Perfect for a fun night out or special celebration. Highly recommended!

Google
Was expecting a way better experience given the pricing and what it’s marketed as. Went to celebrate a birthday, expecting great service and a fun experience (given I made reservations a week in advance AND reminded them when we arrived). 1. The food was okay, nothing special - way better options in Gdl. 2. We were sat in the back corner, next to the kitchen, were not able to see anything that was going on and was not able to interact with the show. 3. Nothing special for birthdays even though the advertised this. We had to reminder our waiter at the end, so they asked if we wanted to pay for a special birthday shot (after we had already bought 2 bottles). Highly disappointing, do not recommend. As someone who has family in the city and has visited plenty of times - do not waste your time and money. So many other good food options and places with a lively ambiance + good service. I give service 0 stars, food 2 stars, atmosphere 2 stars (could’ve been higher if we were able to enjoy and see the performances).

Google
The reviews here are pretty consistent. Very average food but the entertainment was well worth it.

Google
Atmospher beautiful better than Garibaldi in México City and also the mariachi way better and A+ food is good, but service my opinion is not good we went back because of the mariachi, service not good is like we where asking for free.

Google
Very traditional place, good food but worst service ever… Even though they gave us the worst service, they still wanted to receive good tip not asking me how much to put. Very negative experience in Guadalajara.

Yelp
The reason to go mariachi music while the food is indifferent the alcohol flows as freely as you'll allow but the reason you're there is the mariachi show two good acts start the show but then an overall orchestra including s Hal heart the mostly young musicians and singers are skilled and the fun they're having is infectious barios mariachi This is a fabulous experience

Yelp
A pretty fun way to spend an evening in the capital of mariachi music! Casa Bariachi is a huge restaurant and bar with colorful decorations. The food is good, nothing to write home about but not disappointing either, and decently priced considering you're getting free entertainment while enjoying your meal. They have live entertainment in the evening, with folklore dancers first and then mariachi. Lots of props and quite the spectacle. A little complicated to make reservations because you can only make them up to a certain time, which is before the entertainment starts, then you just have to try your luck. My friend and I were seated right against the stage and by the loudspeakers, and it did indeed get pretty loud - as in, over the top loud and impossible to carry a conversation. But I did enjoy the show and watching the crowd having fun.

Yelp
Stepped in for a quick drink on our last night after dinner. Walking pass this place every night would have been a good spot to actually have dinner. The performers were great and the food looked good. The drink was a little disappointing as in not strong at all but it's alright.

Yelp
I went for the 5fth consecutive year to celebrate Valentine's. I regret it big time, I flew from San Diego, and decided to make a reservation for February 14th, and when we got there, there was no table reserved, they added a tiny table in the middle of one large table and a service column, that had dirty dishes and some service stuff. The waitress where walking through a 1ft space and moving our little table every time. I spoke to one of the people in charge and explained our jorney all the way from SD to celebrate Valentine's, his name is JULIO, and he said he was going to find other spot for us (2 people) and he never came back, in the oposite way, he avoided passing by. I am attaching pictures of the spot and the view. NOBODY deserves this kind of service. I am not going back EVER ! I am a big Google contributor with more than 2,640,000 views and I alreday posted my review, to help others when deciding where to go. Thank you.

Yelp
So, I believe this is designed to be a massive concert hall for live mariachi music. I went for lunch and there was some music but no band. I can imagine this place being a great time at night. The staff y polite and attentive. Valet parking in the city is a plus. We started off with the chicharrón appetizer. Instead of skin, it was lightly battered pork meat over a bed of guacamole. Everyone quite enjoyed this dish. My main course I had shrimp molcajete. They give you plenty of shrimp, the broth is a little on the light side, I guess I was the only nonmexican at the table and they assumed I couldn't handle the heat. My only regret is the menu is quite generic, does not feature any of local classics or and the flavor seems to be more touristy than authentic. Overall a pleasant experience. Overall a pleasant experience.

Yelp
Great atmosphere to chill, eat, drink, and relax. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had three young kids so we sat on the patio. The staff didn't mind our kids moving around our table. The restaurant was very clean and nice. I would highly recommend

Paz M.

Yelp
Food is average -nothing to get excited about. Service is good. Ambiance is casual. People go for the entertainment as they do have good performers and it's definitely a big party kind of place where people celebrate their birthdays and the staff have a fun and lively way to celebrate you.

Daphne B.

Yelp
I popped by our last night at 4:30pm. One may ask what's going on that early? Well, at Casa Bariachi it's live music. Live music is at 3:30 and 9:30 - First hour dancers then mariachi. The guacamole was spicy and good. I also ordered the camarones ajo and it was okay. (Some of the shrimp didn't taste all that fresh.) Strawberry margarita was expected. Is this the best food? No. Are the drinks spectacular? Also no. The mariachi band is fantastic and that makes up for it. Definitely worth a visit.

Maria S.

Yelp
I was on a group tour. I ordered a naranjada. It tasted like Tang. The waiter told me it's from concentrate. I couldn't drink it. While it was lunch, there was entertainment including a mariachi and folkloric dancers. My vegetable fajitas were ok. For dessert we had a choice of different cakes. It was great that they were served in individual boxes so we could take it to go. I took to my hotel a delicious lemon cake. The shrimp molcajete was supposedly delicious which is what many of my tour mates ordered. Casa Bariachi is a great place to go for celebrations and the shows.

Erick Rene M.

Yelp
Such a fan experience! Loved the music, the drinks, would definitely come back here again.

Marion J.

Yelp
Best place to spend for our first night in Guadalajara! Live music, great food, amazing drinks! It was super busy because it was a Friday night so there was a wait but they were very accommodating to getting us better seats with a good view of the show. I would definitely come back here to show any new comers because it's a place you wouldn't want to miss!

Michael A.

Yelp
El servicio, el mariachi, la comida - todo excelente. Visite de Utah. Excelente excelente

Roberto S.

Yelp
The mariachi they had playing was so good ! Only 4 stars since the food was very average.

Tricia C.

Yelp
Cold food, terrible experience, we ate at so many amazing places in Guadalajara and this was not one. Server was so rude it ruined a family members birthday! And we weren't even drinking. No Mariachi in a Saturday night. Honestly so disappointed as we had such high expectations. This place is going downhill and you can tell by all the empty tables on a Saturday night. Won't be back and don't recommend. Hate leaving bad review but I don't want anyone to have to experience that on a special occasion.

Nando R.

Yelp
First time here and I was very impressed. Ambiance is very nice. Our food was great! Beer was ice cold. Entertainment is incredible! Service was a little bad. It takes a while for your server to return. I will be back next time I'm in town

Cynthia N M.

Yelp
The service was horrible .no one checked on us . We didn't know who our waiter even was . To get drinks and or food we had to stop different waiters . Appetizer was good but again no one cared to check on us . So mean less to say it didn't meet our exceptions.

Joel R.

Yelp
Our Uber driver recommended this restaurant in Guadalajara and he did right! This place is really fun. It can get really busy so be ready to wait for the food and good luck getting a good table, but besides that, amazing performance, amazing drinks and amazing food. I would totally get back!

Miguel B.

Yelp
Horrible service, check your receipts they will add on random charges be aware foreigners.

Laura J.

Yelp
Amazing place, great show, great drink's I would comeback next year!!! This is the perfect place to go and celebrate anything or every thing

Lis Q.

Yelp
This place is fun if you're looking for a place to listen to live mariachi. Now if you're looking to drink, beware and make sure you ask them to bring your alcohol shot on the side and watch them pour it.. My cousins and I order about 4 palomas each, and at the end of the night, we all realized that we did not even have a light but what so ever. We came to the realization that they were making us virgin drinks and charging us for alcoholic beverages! No wonder people tell you to order a bottle instead, or ask them to bring the shot with the drink so you can pour it in yourself. If you plan on going make sure you apay attention to that!

Jason H.

Yelp
The service was not the best. We waited for our server to take our order for over 45 minutes. The food came out very quick! However, the quality of food is very poor. Meats were dry and food had no flavor/seasoning. The server never checked up on us nor did he refill any drinks but when we received the tab he was very rude and demanded a tip. I would never step foot in this establishment. It's dated and old and not cute. The show was pretty boring. This is where the peasants come to eat. Not a place to wine and dine. Totally disappointed and our entire group felt like it was a rip off. They showcase these platters but when they arrive they are tiny and flavorless. Menu states 4 quesadillas but they don't mention it's a small tortilla cut in four. Avoid disappointment, boredom and hunger

Ricky G.

Yelp
Great ambiance Amazing mariachi Great drinks Great service But food is mediocre at best

Rolland F.

Yelp
First time there, service was fantastic and food was delicious, would definitely go back!!!

Raquel G.

Yelp
Muy bonito lugar, ambiente, servicio! Me encantó el baile folclórico y mariachi. La comida estaba buena , mi papá le gustó mucho el molcajete. Muy recomendable

Laura P.

Yelp
Good Mariachi, but food was not great, service was terrible. Despite the amount of available tables, they sat us in a tiny table that left us with no elbow room. I realized this a little too late when our food had already come out and our tiny table was packed. Will not visit again

Pete B.

Yelp
Went to hear some mariachis and grab a beer and a snack. Very disappointing experience to say the least. Place itself is nice and spacious. Female server had the worst attitude, which may be a first for service I have received in Mexico. She had a pissed off look on her face the entire time. After she brought my order, she disappeared for almost an hour. Never came back to offer a second beer. Guest next to me waited about 30 minutes to place their order. When she finally passed by she blew off every customer that asked for anything; another drink, straws, the bill. I finally got tired of waiting for my bill and tracked her down to hand her the pesos for my bill and left. She completely spoiled the mood. Ordered the queso fundido with arrachera and their own Bariachi House Lager. The queso was hard and almost like cement. Left most of it in the bowl. The steak bits were tender and had decent flavor. Their lager beer had a strange flavor. I would give them 1 star, except for the steak and the music. Also, the show starts at 8:30 p.m., so not much use in going earlier at 630-7 p.m.

Yelp
Dinner and a show then this is your place. Be aware reservations are required and apparently they're supposed to send you an email, which we didn't have but our name was on the list. At first they sat us in what felt like a time out table, facing the wall almost in the darn bar. I was not about to have dinner staring at a wall so I asked to be moved, at first they said nothing else was available and I highly recommend they don't sit ANYONE where they tried to sit us no matter how full. We eventually got moved to a different table with a view worthy of the experience. Thanks to the tall blonde girl working (I forgot her name) because the man at the podium didn't want to bother with me and it showed. Anyways... the drinks 10/10, the food 10/10, the atmosphere 10/10 however if you're a person who likes their space, depending on where you sit there is no such thing. The entertainment was nice, but the Mariachi le falto mucha voz in my opinion at least the night we were there. Their menu is extensive and they have something for everyone. We didn't have room for more after our appetizer so be wise when ordering. Our total for 4 beers, 2 mixed drinks, appetizer for 4 and guacamole was like $60ish dollars. Decent considering the show.

Susy N.

Yelp
This place is a whole experience. You have to show up for the show! Molcajete are delicious . The meat is so soft and the salsa is mouthwatering. We laughed and singed with the mariachi. The michelada was alright. They give you complimentary chips and salsa. Topo Chico is real popular drink . Truly recommend.

Joey V.

Yelp
Soon after landing in Guadalajara we had dinner here at Casa Bariachi. I fell in love with everything. Besides the amazing food, drinks and service the mariachis are what made my night. My Spanish isn't great but the songs I heard that night hit my soul. I grew up listening to those songs. This place was the perfect way to start a vacation and I recommend it to anyone visiting Guadalajara.

Nick C.

Yelp
The ambiance makes this place worth the visit. Mariachis playing all night and playing well! Didn't try much of the food, but the tequila offerings were incredible and the cantarito bowls were out of this world!

Idalia H.

Yelp
If you are visiting this is an excellent place to experience the food and it's culture. I wish I had taken pictures of the food 5/5 and the performance and overall experience 5/5 but I love to live in the moment.Don't take my word for it stop by and experience it yourself.

Timothy I.

Yelp
Casa Bariachi is a long running Guadalajara establishment that everyone should visit - but mostly to say that you did, OR if you can get a good seat inside. Quality: 4 Value: 3 Service: 2 Ambience: 5 This place is HUGE (can seat over 600 people) and has amazing live mariachi bands that play for hours and hours. The entire ambience is Mexico and mariachi pride dialed up to 11 and it is absolutely awesome. The prices are not much higher than other nice places in Guadalajara. All that said, they only carry tequilas/mezcals from the Big 3 distilleries (Cuervo, Herradura, Sausa) and they are woefully under staffed. Service staff are nice, but slow beyond belief. It took about a half hour between ordering and receiving drinks, and an hour for food to come. The food was mediocre, in a city that is basically a culinary Mecca. You need to book a reservation far in advance or wait in line a long time, or may not be able to sit inside where the mariachis play. There is not a ton of dancing inside - it is mostly seated eating while listening. If you want mariachi music in a slightly less formal / kitschy setting, with better food and more dancing (but smaller bands) you can try La Epoca de Oro.

Richard B.

Yelp
Very nice establishment and very nice ambiance. The staff was great. We did not eat but we had lots of drinks. The show is the best thing of the establishment. Live music and a show.

Rosy L.

Yelp
Ok how can put this delicate . I came in and it look so promising the restaurant it self looks really nice we got there at 7 thinking that is a live free mariachi show .wrong it's a mariachi yes but it offers songs for pay first deception the free show start at 10:30 on a Friday then we Order food the chorizo queso fundido second wrong it was tastelessness have try better queso in USA then for the third wrong we order the molcajete it was small tasteless and insipid and for win we had the worst service I had ever have in Mexico I always talk about t service in Mexico I guess in Guadalajara in different my server had a mad face the whole time and when I ask him why are u mad I keep saying thank you and you don't answer he's answer was I don't smile I'm should get surgery to change my face needles to say I would no be recommending this place or going back to this place my o e star is because the mariachi was good and the restaurant looks nice.

Diane H.

Yelp
I had the shrimp tacos they were terrible food is called chicken fajitas appetizer was not tasty at all the drinks were good. Carlos the waiter was awful recommend this purely for entertainment drinks but not for meals sorry..

J B.

Yelp
La comida horrible .. pedimos carne Arachera cuadrada Parece que viene de china .. Los tacos también malísimos muy secos .. lo único bueno fue .. La Música ..!

Claudia R.

Yelp
The place is a must during GDL. It's not the best food. But, it's for sure the best entertainment, best mariachi and best Ambiance. You would love it!

Ivan N.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to us by our taxi driver. It is a great place for someone who has never been to Guadalajara. Their menu serves some of typical foods you would want to try but it's not their best versions. The drinks are drinks and after a having a few they probably all taste the same anyway and your not going to care. The real draw here is the entertainment. The folk dancing and live music is really entertaining. That being said, make sure you make a reservation and specify you want a table closer to the stage. Or else you'll be seated in the back with probably a structure pole blocking your view. So, in a nutshell, go for the entertainment and don't expect much of nothing else.

Janet P.

Yelp
The entertainment was amazing. The mariachi was the best quality I've ever seen. Great Mariachi. The flocorico dancers we're great. Over all the entertainment part of this restaurant is top notch. I was just dissatisfied with the wait staff. We waited long for our drinks and the food was alright. If you have the patience to wait for 30 min on your bill this place is for you. I wouldn't come back for the mariachi. Not so much the food.

Lilian A.

Yelp
This place is amazing, fun and filled with GDL culture. If you like mariachi and Tequila, this is the place to be.

Cinthia G.

Yelp
Worst restaurant ever.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
The ambiance, service and music was absolutely great. We had a wonderful time and plan to return again and again. This is our 3rd time coming to Casa Bariachi and it never disappoints. Recommend

Crystal F.

Yelp
Great spot to come on vacation!! The service and food and DRINKS are amazing!!! Live Mariachi and Folklorico dancers!! Absolutely recommend this place

Veronica M.

Yelp
This place here is strictly for the ambience. The decor the live music and entertainment. Unfortunately I visited this place March 20th 2020 yes right at the begin of this awful pandemic! The restaurant was dead inside by default. It was a Friday evening and the were going to go on a city lockdown that following Monday so all they staff seem all uneasy but you can't blame them. No one was prepared for what Covid-19 was going to bring. The food was very mediocre. I order a guacamole for the table and that was impressive. The order was huge not cheap with the amount of avocado they gave you. Their Margaritas were good and also a big portion was served. I hope to visit this place in the future and experience the ambience every talks about!

Gris G.

Yelp
First time here and the food sucked! 3/6 plates were cold. Our dinner was served before our appetizers.... Wouldn't return ever

Ruby P.

Yelp
Every time I'm visiting GDLA, Casa Bariachi is a must! Their aguchiles are my favorite along with their michelada! The service is amazing and they have live music. It's a great place to celebrate birthdays or just spend time with family.

Anna P.

Yelp
All the stars given are for the fabulous Mariachis who stared playing @ 11 pm and continued through out the night. If you have an opportunity to come here- make sure that it's on a night Manuel Antonio is singing- he is truly talented and has a mesmerizing voice. Food was just okay and service was acceptable.

Janie D.

Yelp
Fun ambiance, great drinks, and incredible live entertainment! Casa Bariachi is an enormous restaurant with enough seating for hundreds of people-this would be a great place to have a party or large family dinner. High ceilings with colorful decorations, festive lighting, and a large stage for the live entertainment. Great location in central Guadalajara, close to many other bars and attractions. Menu is simple but interesting, including every Mexican classic you could hope for. Our waiter was lovely, and very accommodating to my vegan diet. The food was okay, but nothing special-most everything was a bit overcooked and lacking in flavor. The homemade chips and guacamole were fantastic, and an enormous portion for the price. The drinks were also great, especially the Tamarindo Margarita-you must try this. The mariachi band was awesome. Great music, and a really enjoyable dinner view. I would definitely come back here, but most likely just for drinks and the guacamole.

Erika V.

Yelp
We absolutely love this place! Every time we visit Guadalajara to see family this is the perfect place to gather! Very happy and festive place! Decor and music are authentic Mexican style! We love watching the live performances as we enjoy our tasty food and drinks! Very lively place and always a fun time for us!
