Host Michael Azuaje said when I left “Consider this your home in Lima,” and I truly can. I had a medical emergency just as we were going to leave at 6:30am for the flight to Cuzco. He called a doctor to the hotel within 30 minutes and I was taken to a good hospital a few blocks away. Michael sent my overnight bag to the hospital late at night, held the room and my luggage for me for my uncertain return a few days later. Even when I was back and healthy he paid an outside laundry service on my behalf. He is there day and night and with all the staff is courteous, warmly welcoming, and eager to be of help. It is like staying in an older family house. The furnishings are old but the rooms and bedding are clean. Peruvian artwork is everywhere. Wifi is excellent. The hotel is quiet and in a nice residential neighbourhood. The walled back garden is lovely and quiet. The airport transfer service is comfortable and luxurious. The breakfast is good and there is coffee and hot water available all day in the lobby. 40 mins to the central plaza and 40-60 minutes to the airport in Lima’s notorious traffic but close to the chic restaurants of its San Isidro or Miraflores coastal neighbourhoods. Ubers are very cheap, usually less than US$20.

Wonderfully located in an elegant and quiet section of Lima, Casa Bella is set in the middle of the spread of Lima areas you will probably want to see: the historic center, Huaca Pucllana and the restaurants of Miraflores, the great museums of Lima, and the fishmarket and restaurant cluster at Barranco. |The hotel itself is a genteel family manor with historic feel and a most amazing approach to service. My travel partner took ill and hotel manager Michael Azuaje arranged first a (very good) house call and then when she had to transfer to and stay in hospital, packed and taxied an overnight case over in the middle of the night, then kept a room on standby until she was discharged. Lovely breakfast spread, peaceful courtyard garden, car services arranged and all the more usual assistance provided, but the care and capability from Michael and the rest of staff during our medical emergency really went above and beyond. Thank you, Michael!

Wish I had one more night there. Rooms were so big and nice, with a patio, loft ceiling, and comfortable bed. Michael, the manager, was super attentive and helpful to our group and helped us get to and from the airport. He let us stay in the lobby the afternoon before our super late flight so that we wouldn't have to worry about our bags. Grounds were super safe and nice. Lima is a lovely experience.

We stayed in a number of hotels during our time in Peru. This wasn't the best for easy walking to amenities. But it was by far the best. It was clean, quiet, and didn't smell. Due to the nature of Peru, you're very often subject to the whims of vehicle exhaust and noise. Car, train, truck, etc. This hotel is in a more affluent neighborhood with better maintained vehicles. So much quieter, and didn't stink of exhaust. Regarding hospitality, Michael was such a great guy and went above and beyond in a number of ways. If I was in town again,I'd absolutely stay here again.

This place is adorable. Homey, friendly, and comfortable. The AC worked well. I rate it at 5, not because it's a 5 star resort. It's not. But? That's not what I valued about it. The service, including 2 am airport pick up, and through daily breakfast was fantastic. My room was clean, and suited for me. Everything from plugs for my American chargers and curling iron. The towels were thick, soft and absorbed water well (ie not too much fabric softener). There was a well tuned piano in the front room... I checked it. They brought me an iron and ironing board within 3 minutes of my request. They called cabs, made dinner reservations, and even ordered me chicken soup when I felt sick. The breakfasts were tasty, the fruit fresh cut, and croissants soft, yet crunchy on the outside. They and could only have been better if I spoke Spanish. I wanted my eggs over easy, and I could not communicate it well to them. I tried to say "runny", "soft", "rare", "less cooked"... and they were still over medium at "best". ||The best part was Michael, the manager, and concierge. He seemed to be there 24 hours a day, wide away, smiling, friendly, and willing to translate on his phone so he could do the best he could despite the fact that the only spanglish I know is: hello, thank you, I am thirsty, may I have 1 beer please?, and where is the bathroom, please?||In all, when I go there again? I will choose this place because I felt welcome, appreciated, and taken care of when I wasn't feeling my best. Oh, and the price was GREAT! Next time, though, I will figure out how to say, "over easy" before I go. You should check them out too.

A beautiful, peaceful, and cozy place to stay that feels like home away from home. What makes the Casa Bella stand out is its unparalleled hospitality, which provides a sense of comfort and ease that can be difficult to find while traveling. The front desk worked tirelessly to make sure I was able to get to the hotel safely, even in the midst of countless flight delays and a 3 AM arrival time. Michael and Laeder are truly so kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The place is also beautifully decorated, located in a safe neighborhood within walking distance to a number of restaurants, and you can easily get an affordable Uber to other Lima attractions if need be. For breakfast, there is an assortment of fruit, bread, and custom-made eggs. Coffee and tea are available anytime. Rooms are clean and furnished with basic amenities and reliable WiFi. Highly recommend this place and hope to return soon!

Casa Bella is a charming boutique hotel, quiet and calm, well located in a safe, residential area in San Isidro, near shops & businesses. Good value for money. Clients are both business & people on vacation. For us Casa Bella was a perfect home away from home. We stayed here 3 times during our 2-week vacation. We came back and forth and were able to leave our large suitcase in storage while traveling North & then South of Lima. It was like coming home each time. The rooms are quite varied (garden rooms, etc) and spacious. We were upgraded to a suite free of charge twice. Breakfast was good (included in the price) - cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit & fresh juice, bread, eggs. The staff were very polite and went out of their way to help, they were very efficient, and friendly. A Great place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will come back!
