Highly recommend this BnB! My partner and I stayed in the Egret Room. It was comfy, clean and the bed was comfortable. The hosts Phoebe and Phil were so kind and had so much information about Bosque Del Apache Wildlife Refuge. Each morning we had a wonderful breakfast and throughout the day we ate some delicious homemade cookies from a cookie jar in the kitchen. We did talk to one of the hosts about our Covid-19 vaccine status, it was easy, painless and did not hurt our feelings. This is likely the last year for the BnB and we are very grateful we were able to stay here. Phil is a very talented artist and makes wooden bowls. I recommend picking up one of his pieces of great and rare beauty if you can.

Comfortable house and spacious accommodations. Private entry and very large bathroom and tub. Beautiful outdoor space also available. Phoebe and Phil were excellent hosts, very knowledgeable about the area and the Bosque in particular. Breakfast each morning was fantastic!

Hosts are the best! But the accommodations are true New Mexico. An Adobe house with all the modern amenities you could want. Three guest rooms each with a theme of birds, because birds are BIG here. They won't be open until 2021 dog-goneit because of the pandemic. Phil turns fantastic bowls out of native woods, and they are better than you can get in Santa Fe, or anywhere imho.

Yelp
Love birds and Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Reserve? This is such a perfect location. It's within walking distance of the Owl Bar and Cafe, best hamburgers in New Mexico. It's easy driving to the Reserve. And best of all, it's in a historic little town with a lot of atmosphere. The house was built in 1880 and in its time was one of the largest Victorian style farm houses in the area. We stayed in the largest room, the Heron Room. The advantage of this room is that it is enormous and has a huge bathroom with shower, tub and spa. You will want to have an extra chair to perch on for use of the wi-fi. You may also want to bring in your folding camp chair for an easy reading place or use the living room. Phoebe prepares a healthy breakfast of choices, yogurt, eggs, fruit, etc. The B&B is seasonal, check the calendar. It's available October through April.

Yelp
This was my first time to visit the Bosque and I was so glad I opted for a B&B. Phoebe and Phil were so gracious and knowledgeable that I was able to truly appreciate the experience of seeing the flocks of birds setting down the evening we arrived and taking flight the next morning. Our delicious breakfast was lovingly prepared when we got back from the early morning drive to the Bosque.

Yelp
If you want to see the cranes and other birds at Bosque del Apache, you should go at the crack of dawn or evening sunset for fantastic photo ops. Case Blanca is only a 5 minute drive from the reserve. Location is what makes this a great place. There are only 3 rooms, and ours was very comfortable. Two of the rooms have private, in-room baths, and ours was private, but across the hallway. What makes this place special are the hosts, Phoebe and Phil. Phoebe serves an excellent breakfast, which is very filling and satisfying. She is very pleasant and made us feel at home. Phil used to manage the bird reserve and is an excellent source of info. He also makes beautiful wood bowls and vases from using different woods. The two are also well-traveled and I'm sure you can engage them in interesting conversations. We had a two-night stay here. I hated to leave. This is highly recommended and a welcome change from the chain motels.
