Absolutely loved our dinner at Casa Bleve. The ambiance is stunning dining inside a beautifully restored 16th-century palazzo really makes the experience feel special. The service was warm, attentive, and professional from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was elegant and flavorful, showcasing top quality ingredients and true Roman culinary tradition. The wine selection was also excellent, with great recommendations from the staff. Perfect spot for a romantic evening or a refined dinner with friends. Highly recommend if you’re in Rome and looking for an upscale yet welcoming dining experience. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the city!

Every bite we ate was delicious. Black cuddle fish pasta, beef tartare, octopus salad. Everything was great.

Another gem in Rome! Will be back to try more of their amazing menu items. Great place to watch people as well. Especially men in suits.

Tucked away in a 16th-century palazzo near Piazza Navona, Casa Bleve is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were struck by the elegance of the high vaulted ceilings and grand archways, creating an atmosphere that felt both historic and intimate. One of the most fascinating aspects of dining here is knowing that beneath our feet lies a beautifully restored Roman wall from the Augustan age, visible in the restaurant’s stunning wine cellar. The sense of history is everywhere, yet it blends seamlessly with warm hospitality and outstanding cuisine. The menu is a celebration of Italian flavors, with highlights like creamy burrata from Puglia served with fruit compote and delicate roasted sweet pepper rolls filled with tuna, capers, and anchovy pâté. Every dish felt carefully curated, and the wine selection was just as impressive. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate about their wines, helping us choose the perfect pairings to enhance our meal. Casa Bleve isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to linger, savor, and enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a special evening out or simply want to experience Roman dining at its finest, this is a spot we’d return to again and again. Opening Hours: • Monday to Thursday: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 10:30 PM • Friday and Saturday: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM • Sunday: Closed For anyone who loves great food, excellent wine, and a setting steeped in history, Casa Bleve is a must-visit in Rome.

DON’T MISS this spot for an unbelievable Italian meal. One of our very favorite dinners while in Rome. Attire is Dressy- to Dressy Casual- most wearing a jacket or coat. Service was extremely attentive but not over bearing. Unreal wine list. Soooo good. I would absolutely return for another meal. Reservation needed.

Unassuming entrance belies a spacious and refined interior. Mid-week lunchtime, the clientele seemed to be made up of business people and well dressed locals. Discreet service with good food, and a world away from the cramped bustle of the nearby touristy eateries.

First impression is the room is very stately. But the server was a little stand offish. Nona seemed to be friendly only to other business Italian gentlemen across 3 different tables are lunch time. Attention not given other 3 tables of non business types. We had octopus with beans/mint and an eggplant parmigiana. Both ok. Good Nona home style cooking. Maybe we should have gone with pasta.

Easily the best meal we enjoyed in Rome after a week. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, spot on advice, impeccable dishes. Simply a flawless dining experience. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This place is really good. It is upper scale than most places we have been to on the tour, great ambiance, excellent food. The server recommended us wine that we fell in love with, every dish we tried was amazing. All staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
This is a wonderful, classic restaurant near the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The food is masterfully prepared by the Nonna of the family, and she comes out to greet her guests during the night. The service is very polished, if a bit rushed. The main room (where you want to sit) is a beautiful, grand room in a former palazzo. We flew to Rome for dinner in 2018 and this was the place we chose. We have been back twice since. You want to get the beef cheeks and any of the patas. If the zucchini blossoms are on the menu, get them, too.

Yelp
Wonderful food, wonderful service! The best meal we had in Rome! Our first visit- we hope we will visit again. I threw a coin in the Trevi fountain so fingers crossed!

Yelp
Excellent restaurant, amazing food, and great service! My family and I went here last week with a group and had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the Guanciola di manzo brasata al Nebbiolo was superb. Someone else at my table ordered Parmigiana di melanzane which was also great. Highly recommend

Yelp
We were looking for a restaurant that would cater to a couple we were hanging out with. They are Vegans and we did not mind trying out a restaurant that would feel comfortable with. After walking for awhile and not finding what we were looking for, we headed back to a restaurant we had passed earlier. We liked the vibes that it had given out. The front has flowers, you can see part of the inside- bottles of wines in lobby. So we decided to see if they had a table for 8 people and they did. Heading to the other room we were blown away by the beauty. You can feel the warmth and beauty of the place. This lady came up to us (later we found out her name is Tina - owner / chef). We asked her if she could prepare meals that are Vegan. She told us that she can prepare anything. I told her about my food allergies and she was attentive. She made us feel like family. So it was like going to visit as Italians would say your "Zia" (aunt, tia). I ordered the Parmigiana, it was EXCELLENT!! All the food was GREAT!! The Tiramisu was so good! That night was so great, we had dinner there the next day. Had to get another fix of parmigiana and tiramisu. This is by far the best food I had in Rome.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant and wine bar! Fantastic interior, friendly service, delicous food, great wine,...

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal here. Atmosphere, food and service were all stellar. The pasta is home made and hubs and I shared an amatriciana to start. We both ordered the monkfish dish- also nice- a little fishier than the typical American palate tends to go for, but still good. Desserts were a chocolate lava cake and a lemon custard with berries, which was a little disappointing as it was just 3 berries atop a faintly lemon flavored custard. Would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Love the fish~ very tender and yummy. Perfect harmony with zucchini flower and cherry tomato!

Yelp
I think the place lost some of its charm. It claimed an adiacente room which is rather cold and anonymous taking away the special atmosphere of the main room, reminiscing of old time. Food was good. The appetisers were fine; fresh ingredients and interesting choice of flavours, but neither of these qualities justified the price. Mains were better. Tourbout in a light tomatoes soup and fresh zucchini flowers was delicate and the aubergine millefoglie with cod, crispy and tasty. Service was pleasant. Overall a fair experience.

Yelp
The lamb tagliolini was fantastic! The service and ambiance (beautifully tall dining room with stain glass ceiling) were divine. We ate quite a late lunch here and felt bad we were the only ones left in the restaurant when the staff were prepping for dinner and having a bite as well, but they even provided complimentary cookies and brownies for a sweet finish. We ended up coming here because Armando was rude and turned us away because we did not have a lunch reservation but they had four or five open tables-their loss, our gain!

Caleb S.

Yelp
What a beautiful room for dinner! The service is perfect and professional. We enjoyed the sliced beef in red wine sauce with mixed vegetables and the lamb chops. Tina's dessert was a custard with only the slightest hint of lemon. Highly recommended for dinner.

Yelp
This place was one of my favorite places I've been to while in Rome. It took us a while trying to figure out where this place was due to the narrow streets near the hustle and bustle of the Pantheon ,but managed to find the entrance. The first thing I saw when I walked in is one of the servers slicing prosciutto infront of us. Yup, that is how you would reel me in :) Dangle some amazing slices of artisanal cured meats. Their Selezione di Salumi Misti (Selection of Artisan Cured Meats) is what Casa Bleve is known for. Their wine pairing is amazing. They have an encyclopedia length of wine selections. You feel like a kid in a candy store. Brunello di Montalcino wine was amazing :) Beautiful vaulted ceilings lined with shelves of wine. Wood flooring, tables, and chairs. The service was amazing. Everyone there was so nice and helped us with our selections. This place is a hidden gem in Rome, should be more than Michelin Rated. Delicious and will return back to you :) Goodvibes!

Yelp
Dinner this evening was absolutely amazing! We are visiting Rome for the first time and participated in the 3-source dinner here... Our hostess, Alessandra (sp?) was wonderful as well as the two other couples that joined our dinner party... Alessandra, shared the best Italian wine pairings for each course of our delicious meal! Not only did we enjoy the food and service but we also enjoyed learning about the history of the location... So nice!

Yelp
You'd really have to do something terrible to me to ruin Christmas Day in Italy. Thank God Casa Bleve did the right thing and went far beyond the call of duty to Buon the heck out of this Natale. As we walked into what looked to be a small storefront, we had to wait a few minutes for our table to be prepared for a 3:00PM lunch on Christmas Day. We knew we were in for a pre-fixed menu consisting of Lasagna with a Pumpkin Flower Meat Sauce, Fresh Fish, and beautiful homemade Spumoni. As we stood in the lobby, I glanced around at simple wine selection all fairly priced, and was immediately impressed with Casa Bleve's casual approach to sales. They didn't over price their wines and allowed you to taste anything they had open. Really, its the way it should be done everywhere but unfortunately in America some people get a little stingy. Before we knew it we were seated in the beautifully decorated main dining room and when I say decorated, I mean it was DECOR to the max. The stained glass ceiling was not to be rivaled with by any establishment in the hemisphere and the attention to detail on the centerpieces was second to none. Our waiter would not be out-classed by even the most dashing of gentlemen as he swiftly offered my lady a purse holder for our table. She happily obliged. As we poured a bottle of Rosso di Montalcino to toast our final day on our 10 day excursion of Italia, we were told that they had run out of lasagna but Nonna in the back would be making us some fresh spaghetti with all of the same ingredients. I mean, could we really complain? It was flawless and I wish I could have bathed in it. From course to course we couldn't get over the beauty of the presentation and the amount of flavor coming from such delicately presented dishes. Now don't get me wrong here, they weren't small portions, but when it clearly takes so much time and attention to put together a presentation, sometimes you wonder if the flavor will add up. Casa Bleve exceeded expectations. As we wrapped up our late lunch toasting one last time, our waiter brought us down to the Augustan age wine cellar. When you're walking around surrounded by wine and rock that has existed since the first Roman emperor could life really be much better? I concluded that it couldn't, took a photo or two and closed my eyes to seal the moment in my memory. Casa Bleve is not just a restaurant, it is an experience.

Yelp
This was the best restaurant experience of our ten days in Rome. Why they don't have a star or two from Michelin I don't understand. They do have two Yelp reviews - both five stars. Now they have three, all five stars. Thank you Yelp. Without those reviews we would not have gone. The setting is fabulous, both naturally and with the way they've decorated it. The restaurant is a large high ceiling room in back of their wine shop. It's classic Roman, but new and fresh and spacious. Solid wood tables, beautiful stained glass windows up high, and an impressive modern stained glass ceiling. Our service was excellent, but that disappeared behind the awesome meal we had. We started with zucchini flowers, stuffed with ricotta cheese, and baked. Served on a bed of sun dried tomatoes. This makes my list of top ten appetizers I've ever tasted. We then shared an order of mezze maniche, a large pasta that was the freshest pasta I had in Rome. My main course was scabbard, a very tasty fish I'd not had before. The long filets of the fish, cooked with Parmesan cheese, were served on a thick piece of eggplant, with cooked cherry tomatoes and olives as a side dish. As with the zucchini flowers dish, this was a masterful combination, with all the flavors balancing one another, in this case all strong flavors. It was wonderfully tasty. I liked having the tomatoes and olives combination on the side, so on each bite I could decide how much of which items I wanted to combine each time. Accompanying the meal we started with an excellent mecita, the had another great Abruzzo white wine. This, to me, is a destination restaurant. The entire meal was a culinary experience. When they get their Michelin star, we will be able to say "we knew them when..."

Yelp
DO NOT GO! THIS RESTAURANT IS A PRETTY SCAM. We were 5 this evening at Casa Bleve. We could not have been more shocked and terribly disappointed from the fraudulent food that they serve: 2 of us got lamb chops - both orders were terrible because the lamb chops were pre-cooked. I tried a piece myself after hearing the complaints from both my father and my Daugther. Shame!!! The taste was horrible and the meat not worthy of the name. What a horrible way to cheat people. My 'fresh' pasta in lamb Raghu sounded great but was simply completely tasteless. My sons's fossili pasta was as he put it "much worse than any pasta I had in any Italian restaurant". I tasted it too and I agree. My wife's ravioli was 4 pieces of what she said 'tastes like nothing' Ouch! They made us very upset because we know we were SCAMMED. I'm not sure how it is that they have many reviews on tripadvisor and some on Yelp, which are most positive. I booked it based on these reviews. Unfortunately I must conclude that many of the reviews are fake. I hope my review helps others avoid these crooks! SHAME ON YOU CASA BLEVE!

Yelp
Casa Bleve was the best way to wrap up our last meal in Rome. We had a grand time wandering around Rome, walking everywhere, when we happened upon this restaurant. It was pure serendipity that we foudn this place. The 4 consecutive years with Michelin stars convinced us to eat here and it was totally worth it. For appetizers, we started with the cheese plate and charcuterie. So delish... we were mixing and matching the cheeses and meats and joked that we are so American for doing that. Then our entrees lamb chops and beef cheeks. The entrees were so heavenly like upscale Italian food. The food prices were comparable to other restaurants in Rome. The wine list and decor were outstanding. I would recommend anyone to go here for one of your meals in Rome.

Yelp
Please do not visit. I am a fervent Yelp follower, but I am writing this review because of such an unbelievably terrible experience. From the beginning the service was very dejected, but the bulk of the problem was the food. Not only was the food quality worst than an Olive Garden (cold flavorless pasta and seemingly canned asparagus) but I and my boyfriend are also violently ill. We have spent 9 days in Italy and this was a sad end to our trip. Please save yourselves.

Yelp
#Francesco...our waiter was beyond reaponsive...we even let him pick our wine. Barnello ... great wines, great service and fantastic dinner. Started with #stuffedzucchiniblossoms. Finished with 1000 and Tarte tatin .

Yelp
You know how you have this dream of finding a magical, perfect, hidden gem of a restaurant, that you could return to time and again? Well, it just happened to me tonight. Wandering through some back streets, foraging for dinner, a colleague and I stumbled upon this place. It's a sort of pillared cellar, stacked high with wine bottles, and decorated in a restrained classical style. Food was among the best Italy has to offer,I think, and the wine list goes from €25 to €1750 per bottle. We were at the cheaper end and had a very pleasant evening for €38 each. Service was just right. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
An exceptional dining experience! Everything from the homemade bread sticks to the lush lemon cream for desert was perfection. Try the braised beef cheeks with potato purée and ask for a wine recommendation. The waiters are knowledgable and made excellent pairings. If you are very lucky, you may get to visit the private wine cellar. A spectacular surrounding for a memorable dinner.

Louis S.

Yelp
The ambience is nice and the service attentive but overall it didn't quite live up to it's "Michelin recommended" reputation. We went there for lunch and had the Cod (Baccala) and the shrimp ravioli. Both dishes were just okay, given the price point and expectations. Perhaps some of their other dishes are better but I left feeling that we might have had a more flavourful lunch experience eating pizza / panini etc at one of the many informal caffe's / pizzerias around Rome. Still a nice place if you're looking for some peace and quiet off the main streets. They're closed on Sundays.

Yelp
During a recent one-week stay in Rome we dined here twice. Once just wasn't enough! This is a fine-dining establishment that takes pride in everything they do. The food is melt-in-your-mouth wonderful, the service by the charming and friendly waiters is thoughtful and timely, and the atmosphere is gorgeous and peaceful. Highest recommendation!!

Yelp
In Italy it is hard to find bad food, but in Rome it has always been a bit of a challenge to find GREAT food. This place has great food but what made it even better was our server. He turned any small language barrier into good humor and attentive but not overbearing. We had the platter of buffalo and an array of meats to start, and then the caccio and amatriciana. Loved it!

John B.

Yelp
This was an interesting and very pleasant evening. When we made the reservation, we were told the only tables available were in the entrance of the house, which we accepted. Turned out they were otherwise closed for a private party, but they could not have been more gracious or accommodating to us and the other two tables of diners in the room. The food was delicious. I had the linguine con vongole to start and the sea bass with tomato/caper sauce second course. My wife had the burrata ravioli starter and the grouper with porcini mushrooms and squash. Service was warm and professional. We asked for help with the wine and their recommendation proved to be a winner. Our hosts offered prosecco to start and a dessert wine to finish. The madre who runs the kitchen came out to check on us during the meal. All told, we felt well taken care of and walked away happy. Pleased to recommend this place to others.

Yelp
Very good Italian food and excellent service. However this is on the expensive side. Nice wine collection, beautiful dining room and the vegetarian dishes we had were delicious. We were too full for dessert so don't order any. However the staff served us some nice Italian cookies and biscotti to finish the meal. Nice touch.

Jeff B.

Yelp
This is the Rome you are looking for. Thanks to the review from Dennis S., we stopped into Casa Bleve for lunch today. There was a buffet with a huge selection, and everything was superb and fresh. The service was the best we have had in Italy. Our sever was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our limited Italian. We stopped in on the tail end of lunch so the place was not very crowded. It was amazing that this place was just a few minutes walk from the Pantheon, yet not drowning in tourists. This place is also very vegetarian friendly. At one point, the nice lady behind the buffet took a dish off my wife's plate when she learned that my wife was a vegetarian. She then took the time to point out every single vegetarian option. We were too stuffed for desert, but we were still given a few small dolce as well as a complimentary glass of desert wine. We enjoyed lunch so much that we made reservations for dinner tomorrow night. You can spend your vacation in Rome searching for the perfect meal, or you can just go to Casa Bleve and enjoy.

Yelp
Hands down the best restaurant I've found in Italy. Convenient location with a discreet entrance. The room is very dramatic and impeccably designed. The food is of the highest quality and the menu is Italian, but creative. Standard-sounding fare is taken to a new level and the menu includes several original dishes. The service is top-notch. Wine list is large and features some rarer selection. This is an outstanding white table cloth restaurant. It's expensive but worth it.

Yelp
This restaurant convinced me that there is good-quality food in Rome. After more than two weeks in the city, I was starting to think that everything was over-salted, over-oiled and not well-prepared - until this place. The wine selection is large and good. My lamb chops were cooked perfectly in a wonderful sauce, and even the spinach-like vegetables I normally hate were pretty good. My husband's pasta was also delicious, and they even served us cookies and candies when we didn't order dessert. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it to experience good quality food.

Yelp
Never again !!! This place is a pure toerist trap. Bad quality for exorbitant high prices. unfriendly staf.

Will K.

Yelp
Overall, a first class dining experience. All of the food we had was absolutely incredible. They made great pastas, all of which were clearly hand/homemade. The room I'm which we dined was lavishly furnished with marble walls, floors, a glass cieling, and arches. There was even the occasional plexiglass window in the floor looking down into the wine cellar. They took us on a tour of the cellar, which was incredible, and I would recommend that you do the same.

Excellent food, the price is not cheap but its worth it for the good food. Lovely surroundings and good service.

Yelp
Pick up because closed to Piazza Navona but what a surprise. Above expectations, sophisticated but family owned, great dishes, excellent service, attention to details.

Yelp
This is one of the last places we ate before coming home on 6/4/2015. It was one of the best in italy. In a touristy neighborhood but not touristy. We had lunch and most of the customers were business men/suits. We had Tonnarelli al cacio e pepe,(pasta with cheese and pepper) Absolutely delicious! I cannot wait to try and make it at home. Casio is a traditional Roman cheese. It was quiet and refined. A welcomed change from the hoards of tourists. Service , wine, bread, salad. You cannot go wrong.
