Great food. In particular we loved the simple bacon and eggs for breakfast thay were far from simple. Absolutely gorgeous and great value. Had the chicken burger on another occasion and it was delicious. Gorgeous views at sunset too. Pity about all the construction going on in the town which affects most of the businesses.

I read the reviews and I totally agree, this place is excellent. I had a veggie coconut curry, a seafood bowl, rice and a Vietnamese egg coffee. Yes, I'm a pig. 😅 They were all delicious. The coffee is very sweet of course. That's the Vietnamese way.

If you're looking for a good place to eat in CatBa, don't hesitate: the food is excellent, with a special mention for the Braised beef BanhMy. The service is excellent and the waitresses are very friendly and pleasant.

Deep fried calamaris are a must!!! Seafood noodle soup was super tasty but slightly on the salty side. They make really good milkshakes too. They forgot one of our orders but the portion size was very generous so we didn't mind at all :)

One will feel forgotten once served. Order is taken fast. The food arrives one after the other with several minutes in between, in one case not at all (just a side dish, so nothing crucial). On request the missing item was handled quickly and friendly. The fella dealing with it just earned them the 4th star. However, I needed to enter as there was no service personnel around. They seemed to disappear and sometimes reappear randomly. Also, the fries coming with the beef burger tasted well but came in very low numbers. It didn’t need an autistic savant to count them with one glance. I think even a chick (small chicken) understands the concept of such small numbers.

I wish I listened to the 1 star reviews here. I honestly don’t know how this is rated so highly. In our 1 month of travelling in SE Asia this is the only time I got food poisoning, it was the worse case of food poisoning I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered the Seafood noodles, my partner ordered the chicken coconut curry. Both tasted like they had the exact same gravy, sachet tasting base. It was horrible yet I ate it anyway as I hate wasting food when others are starving. I really regretted eating it the next day. Please avoid this place, there are so many nice local restaurants that may not look as nice but offer authentic and clean food.

Great prices and portions are massive! Best real rice noodles in here with plenty of seafood. I have tried other restaurants in Cat Ba, all of them do instant ‘rice’ noodles, which was not even rice noodles, just instant noodles with very little seafood. Other places 100k for seafood, here is 85k Anyway, best place for food! Come here worth spending money.

Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wide varieties and taste delicious Loved all the desserts. I had brownie with ice cream and the brownie is to die for People are very hospitable I’m a little bothered with others smoking around but that’s fine
