Casa Britona

We rented the entire house, and while the photos looked promising — even advertising a river suitable for fishing — the reality was completely different. When we arrived, the house was cool and ventilated, but a strong smell of trapped dust came from the furniture. By evening, I had already started itching from the chairs. We asked for a taxi to take us to a nearby restaurant, and the property sent a driver who didn’t speak English and attempted to take us all the way to Anjuna — an hour away. Luckily, we noticed in time and directed him to the city center ourselves. We had paid for two nights in advance but left after just one. The smell, the atmosphere, and the overall condition of the place were unbearable. The “river” turned out to be a swamp next to the house. On top of that, the house is located just three steps from a busy road, making it unsafe to exit the property — especially for children. There were also serious maintenance and safety issues: faulty and unsafe electricity, a non-functioning toilet pump, missing faucets in the shower and sinks, and no running water at all throughout the night. I felt so unwell from the environment that I ended up vomiting, and there wasn’t even water available to clean up afterward. Overall, this was a very disappointing and unpleasant stay, and absolutely not suitable for families with children.

Great quiet place with a backwaters view. Love the pool and the house. A good place for some quality time with friends and family. We stayed for 3 days and were happy with the experience. The kids loved the pool, it felt like we had the whole property with no one bothering us. We got food from the place which was good but we also went out to eat a couple of times. Overall a good place for a family gathering.

Authentic Goan villa experience. Lovely 300 year old heritage, riverfront property. Kept in an immaculate condition while retaining most of its old worldly charms. The decor and ambiance is replete with authentic Goan tradition and history. The layout of the place is cheerful and very well considered. The pool is family friendly and service is courteous. Administrative staff is accommodating. Best visited for a lazy vacation as the in house sights will mesmerize for many days <3 |

We never experienced any disconnection or discomfort from the beginning till we left this location. On all counts, including the most urgent ones, we received excellent service. Their entire crew was helpful, supportive, and available whenever needed. The booking process was easy, and the sharing of information was prompt. Villa was super beautiful, hygienic, equipped with mostly all the facility, food was tasty too. Everyone had a great stay and time there. |Must recommended for happy stay when in GOA.

Great experience at the Casa Britona. Amazing location right on the river. Food was bit expensive but very good. Amazing Barbecue. Manager Mr.Anubhav was very helpful. There were couple of issues with Voltage and AC but they resolved it quickly and overall had a very pleasant saty. The staff is helpful and polite. They took care of all our requirements and made our stay memorable.

Wonderful place to stay with a group of 15-20 . Ours was a family event which had elderly as well as infants . All rooms are very comfortable and the stay was made even more comfortable by Deepak and his team . Deepak is the guy who could fix any issue and arrange for any facility or any requirement . Be it the menu or infant food or any specific cuisine we wanted it was just done with utmost efficiency and with great deal of dedication. We stayed in casa britona for 04 days last week. |Actually we came to Mumbai for some business meet and suddenly made plan to go to goa. We were visiting places here and had plan to go back by the evening to goa. We got late and thought of taking hotel to stay for the night. We came to casa britona and booked 8 rooms. |Guys you don't believe what a villa it is! I everything was upto our liking, the warm hospitality by hotel staff was amazing. |Manager Mr. Anubhav was very helpful. Thanks anubhav The food was too good especially Indian food was amazing. The morning breakfast was good . We extended our stay for another day and enjoyed inhouse , swimming. |Overall in goa if you are staying at casa britona you will not get bored at all as it has amazing hospitality with professional staff. Every corner is like well maintained and kept. ||My recommendation is if you are in Goa and if not stayed at casa britona means you missed something.
