Casa Canabal by Faranda Boutique

Had a lovely stay at Casa Canabal! The hotel is clean and beautiful. The rooftop was especially fun with a small but nice pool. The staff here are very kind as well, particularly Rosamy and Freddy. Rosamy in particular was so nice and helpful with any questions or problems. Freddy is in charge of the wonderful complimentary breakfast spread the hotel puts out each morning. My only complaint is that our toilet had some plumbing issues but these were easily fixed once we spoke to the maid —- who is also fantastic. A great place to stay as you see Cartagena!

The hotel was amazing ! It is smaller than your regular hotel but very nice, clean, private and in the local area which is a plus. Breakfast was included as well very delicious and fresh. Everything was walking distance no need for cab. The staff was amazing shout out to Rosmy for being so patient with us and giving out recommendations during our trip. Special shout out as well to Alfonso!! He was the very BEST. Very attentive always helping out and super responsive. He made my friends and I feel very special during our whole stay. Definitely recommend 10/10!!!! You won’t regret it.

Location is definitely the main reason to stay at this hotel. Literally stepping out of the hotel you have everything within walking distance and pretty safe. The best part is how quiet the hotel is so you can actually rest while still being close to all the action. Rooms were spacious, poorly lit and no mirror to really get dressed with since the only mirror is on the armoire which has a design that makes it difficult to see your outfit. Despite having issues the second night there first with AC then with the mini fridge I would definitely stay here again. Pool could use a refresh but does its job at keeping you cool during hot afternoons. Aesthetically pleasing hotel and breakfast decent options.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Canabal! The hotel is beautiful and in an amazing location in the Getsemani neighborhood. Karen at the front desk was absolutely lovely and the rest of the staff were great and helpful too! The hotel was very clean, safe and secure, and was even more beautiful in person than the photos. Our room was large with a large bathroom. I did not notice any issues with noise….and it is a lively neighborhood so noise is to be expected anyways. Breakfast was very good as well. And the rooftop is great. Overall an amazing stay, I would totally come back to this hotel!!!

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the Getsemani, quick walking distance to the walled city. The staff was welcoming. The build your own omelet at breakfast was perfect, along with the other options. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for my short stay. While my room didn't have a window, it wasn’t an issue for me, as I was out and about most of the time. However, I do think this should be more prominently mentioned in the room description and confirmation emails so guests know what to expect.|Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent hotel. Extremely clean. Very friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and Altonso in the dining room was delightful. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and I would definitely use this hotel chain in future.

Place is cozy and staff provided excellent service. Location is perfect to enjoy every attraction. Perfect for walking and enjoy the surroundings. People are friendly, and respectful. Cartagena is a beautiful place. Enjoyed “arepa con huevo”, so delicious!

The rooms are tiny, with hardly any space outside of the bed. The bed was low; while standing next to it, the bed was lower than my knees. Most importantly, the rooms have no windows to see outside, which increases the feeling of claustrophobia. The bathroom was also very small and uncomfortable.|
