Casa Capșa

Having past the restaurant the previous day, we were excited to try some cakes. Lovely thing to do in Bucharest, excellent cakes and friendly service from a lovely lady. We also visited their chocolate shop on the side of the hotel and purchased some chocolates made with stevia for a diabetic friend.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. Well I’m super late to post a review but the time spent was really good. Located at the heart of the city having access to Universitatea Metro, local bus stop and especially the old town at a walkable neighborhood is more than what you can ask for. The receptionist Christian was very friendly and helpful. Felt very relaxed and safe during the trip and no one judged me as an Indian. The complimentary food in the morning was amazing and the chefs were really understanding to get me food I asked for. Overall the hotel has a historical value with good vibes.

it is an historic monument in which the hotel, restaurant and coffee shop work! it tells tales of a wonderful life and iconic moments and people of the 19th century Bucharest, Wallachia (aka little Romania)

We stayed here in October for 3 nights. The hotel is so cool if you like history, it was a bit run down and not really comparable to a UK 5 star but we enjoyed it. It was quiet enough to sleep and the bed was huge! The receptionist was a bit grumpy but it actually made us laugh, he told us not to pay extra for breakfast because it wasn't worth it 😂 I appreciated the honesty! The location was fab, only a 3-4 minute walk from the old town with lots of great places to eat and drink, there's also a corner shop very close by that was good to get snacks and drinks from. I'd definitely stay at the hotel again. Just be aware all facilities may not be available though, the bar & restaurant was closed as not enough guests but again it was easy enough to find bars and places to eat a small walk away.

The service was not fabulous but good desserts after all. The waiters ignored us when called. I ordered a dessert that never arrived. I was told it was unavailable only when I called the waitress back after waiting for long time. Just for information there is no possibility to split the bill.

Me and friend are currently on a 5 day holiday and chose this restaurant for breakfast/ lunch / a snack after night one to which we got a caramel dessert, iced coffe, pumpkin spice latte and a mozzarella, tomato and pesto pastry. Pastry was amazing, coffee tasted like just milk, pumpkin spice was absolutely amazing. Caramel desert wasn’t nice to us, we enjoyed it however didn’t finish it and wouldn’t order again. Wasn’t made clear how to order or get the bill so was slight confusion but luckily server was kind and spoke english

Awful cakes, awful people, and ruined our life event. They have neither values, nor shame, only care about money and don't respect contracts. I genuinely hope no one wastes their money and time here. They are the most shocking business we ever came across.

We tried the cake and coffee. It is nice. Lots of variety of chocolate and cake. We did not stay in the hotel, so cannot comment for it.
