Our most memorable stay in Cusco! We stayed at Casa Cartagena for a total of 4 nights, 2 before our tour to acclimate, and 2 after to unwind. Room #7 was our first room and it was very comfortable. On our return we had room 10, a very spacious suite with the most quiet location. A gem! Each trip started with the welcome tea, a perfect blend to help with altitude and stomach distress, and to both relax and energize! Fernando, who introduced us to the nightly happy hour Pisco Sours, is the gem of Casa C! He is attentive in their in house restaurant as well. We ate the complimentary breakfast each morning and we dined twice in the evening with the most amazing dinner atmosphere. The breakfast was divine, with so many choices of local fares. The pool and steam room were so relaxing and therapeutic. A massage with Olga, in their spa was just what the tired hiking muscles needed. She was very professional, and attentive to my tired body’s needs. Location is perfect to lead you to all the main attractions in Cusco, and airport transportation was complimentary with knowledgeable drivers getting us to and from the airport through busy city traffic. Farid, at the front desk took care of each request and need we had during our stay. A genuine asset to Casa C. Our spa attendant was attentive as well, bringing tea, setting up towels, and completing our experience seeking relaxation. A boutique hotel gem, choose Casa Cartagena!

Exceptional service! James at front desk was warm and welcoming. Our room was well appointed and lovely extras such as a welcome card with your name, assortment of chocolates , lovely robes. The property is beautiful - eye candy. We arrived too late to enjoy the beautiful courtyard. This is luxury in very thoughtful ways and well worth the splurge. The restaurant service is personalized and very attentive. I highly recommend this boutique experience.

Top notch. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this stylish and elegant hotel . Great location . Attentive and very helpful staff. Nice restaurant . Quiet and peaceful. Loved the beautiful courtyard. We were unlucky with our pre booked accommodation in Cusco (which turned out to not be great) but by a stroke of luck we found accommodation here. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The food and spa were really good - especially after a hard day’s sightseeing at altitude. They also provided complimentary canapés and Pisco sour in the evening. The rooms were spacious and the grounds stunning. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you for a great stay.

My best friend and I stayed here for her 50th birthday celebration. When I booked, they asked if we were celebrating anything special and I let them know that we would be there to celebrate her. They immediately asked me if I preferred a basket or complimentary bottle upon our arrival. I asked if they could offer a happy birthday dessert after dinner on her birthday. They brought a beautiful slice of cake with happy birthday and a candle that evening we celebrated. They even sang! Also, when we arrived after a very long day of travel, we were greeting by a very courteous and professional person at the front desk. He gave us the wonderful news of an upgrade because of her birthday! We started the trip with a high!!! Overall, the experience at this hotel was great! It was close to the Plaza de Armas, but far enough away to keep the noise out. The lush and beautiful landscape was a retreat for the eyes. The city is very busy and full of brick buildings. The landscape and layout brought a sense of peace. That's one of the reasons why I booked this place. The rooms were immaculate. They refreshed our complimentary water bottles daily, and the staff at the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. On one of the days we came back from our excursion to rainbow mountain, we encountered a lot of traffic. We had a massage scheduled for 7pm. We called around 6 to see if we could push it to 7:30pm and they got back to me promptly, accommodating us. That was another long day pout and about and a massage was just what we needed and a dip in the hot pool and sauna. We were very grateful for them! My friend and I were made to feel special from the moment we arrived. I absolutely loved their attention to detail. From the welcome tea in their beautiful pottery, the chocolate plate and welcome note waiting in our room, the friendliness, the attention to our well being, and so much more! I would stay here again! There's nothing to think about if you want to stay here. You will make the right choice by booking here! Thank you Casa Cartagena!!

A boutique hotel housed in a historic building, centrally located in the tourist area of Cusco. An ideal base for exploring the city. Spacious, comfortable rooms. Good cuisine and professional service. A place well worth recommending.

Casa Cartagena is a reasonably priced top-notch accommodation option for Cusco. In the center of things, next to some of the finest hotels in town and in a beautiful colonial/inca style the place is a fantastic base for enjoying Cusco.||The rooms are spacious and comfortable with good heating and the option to add oxygen to combat altitude sickness. They have a nice sauna/jacuzzi area and a lovely restaurant. We only ate breakfast there which was very well stocked compared to most other places in Peru. ||All in all we loved the hotel and it can be noted that they have exceptionally well-trained and attentive staff, something that is definitely not always the case in Peru.

Casa Cartagena is a hidden gem in Cusco! The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of character. The service was top-notch. Warm, attentive, and personalized.
