Excellent hotel. Gorgeous rooms, spacious, comfortable without being stuffy. Great location. Entire staff was top notch. We though the front desk team, the bartender, and especially the kitchen staff (breakfasts are great) were top notch. We really bonded with Angie who is incredibly friendly and helpful, but really the the whole staff could not have been more helpful. Highly recommend. ||We were in Cusco 10 years ago and stayed at the JW Marriott last time, I would choose Casa Cartagena over the JW because it is less stuffy and a whole lot less expensive to boot!||Tip - try the sweet tamales at breakfast and don't forget to check out the hotel bar for your complimentary drink of the day!

We had the pleasure of spending three days at the Casa Cartagena Boutique Hotel & Spa in Cusco, and we can only speak positively about our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the outstanding service and the exceptional friendliness of the staff. Every employee was always dedicated to making our stay as pleasant as possible and was always available to assist us. One notable feature was the ability to securely store our luggage at the hotel during our visit to Machu Picchu. This made our excursion even more relaxed and stress-free. The rooms were spacious, clean, and lovingly decorated, which added to a high level of comfort. The breakfast was varied and of the highest quality, as were the other amenities of the hotel. We felt completely comfortable and well taken care of. We highly recommend the Casa Cartagena Boutique Hotel & Spa to anyone planning a stay in Cusco. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful city. We thank the entire team for this unforgettable experience!

ma visite à 'hotel casa cartagena fut parfaite de la reception, à la propreté de la chambre, à la décoration de l'hôtel, à l'attention qui me fut portée. Nothing was too much, the staff was perfect from beginning to end. A particular thanks to Sandro at the reception who could not have been more helpful from the time we booked for a trip that should have taken place in February 2022 to now. Merçi Sandro et bon courage pour le Français.|The hotel also recommended me a place where to stay in Lima which was excellent.|All in all the hotel is of very good taste, peaceful, garden perfectly kept.|In all I can only highly recommend the hotel and look forward to visiting again

Beautiful well maintained property with comfortable rooms, great staff and delicious food. The complete breakfast buffet was outstanding. The large hot tub and steam room were wonderful and impeccably maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this gem of a smaller boutique hotel with a great location. Close to the square and all the great restaurants.

Hotel is located in a central and beautiful area which is convenient for walking to restaurants and other amenities.||The average 3-star review is due to the fact that the team on site has dealt poorly with my complaint. ||I was staying in room 5 which is on the ground floor. The room only a very small window which I left opened and it still got quite warm even in the night. Note that there is no AC in the room (I was also told that all room are the same). Perhaps I should have checked on the AC situation before I booked it but one would have thought that a hotel like this would have AC.||Unsurprisingly, I did not sleep well at all (I stayed here in mid May 2024). Spoke to the reception the next day to request for a table fan and I was told that they don’t have any.||I then asked to change room to one that has a larger window but was told that the hotel is fully booked (which I suspected is not true as most rooms are dark and looked unoccupied).||They then suggested that I leave my door open when I head out for dinner and also perhaps when I sleep (!) so that I am more comfortable. ||I immediately then requested for them to speak to their manager on duty as I was shocked that a 5-star hotel would suggest such a thing. I had to say that I thought it was a joke initially. I mentioned to the staff that he may be comfortable sleeping with his hotel room door opened, but I am not!!||30 mins later, a room with a balcony/window miraculously became available and I was able to move. ||They also sent a drink and a small platter to presumably apologize (but no one apologized at all to me in person). The kitchen staff probably had no clue what happened and was tasked to just send the drink and platter to my new room. Again, it would have been nice if they acknowledged to me in person that the situation was mishandled. I was made to feel like I was the one who was unreasonable. ||I am disappointed as the situation could have been handled in a better manner. Perhaps they should have just stock up with some table fans given the AC situation.||The beauty of the property is unfortunately let down tremendously by the poor handling of the situation. Perhaps, they are getting too complacent||Would I stay here again? Definite no. ||For the same price, I probably should have been less adventurous hoping to try out a highly rated boutique hotel, and just go back to Marriott down the street. At least I am fairly certain their staff is trained enough not to make ridiculous suggestions like leaving my door open in the middle of the night. ||I do hope that this is due just to my poor luck of being in room 5. The new room I moved to was certainly much cooler given the larger balcony window.

Just sharing about the spa. We didn’t stay at the hotel. Although we had a lovely time in the jacuzzi and the sauna, we didn’t like how the lady at the sauna reception acted when we asked for a massage for my husband. He wanted a back and shoulder massage only. She asked if I would like to have one too and my husband said no thanks just 1, she insisted that it would be good for me too but he said no politely. 30 mins later 2 masseuses arrived and she urged us to go get our massage. We said we only asked for one and she told me come on you will enjoy it. I said no thanks politely and she tried to convince me again to which I had to tell her I didn’t like massages and never do it so I won’t be doing it here. After this it was only awkward. My husbands masseuse was very cold and she didn’t listen to his wishes of only back and shoulder and proceeded to do the whole body. He also asked for a strong massage but only got weak massage. All in all the pass for the 2 hours access to jacuzzi and sauna is worth it but the massage isn’t.

Our family of five stayed at Case Cartagena in January. We had two rooms - one very large master suite (with a living room attached) and one bedroom with three separate beds for my three kids. We loved everything about the hotel. It is a beautiful oasis of quiet in an otherwise bustling city with an excellent location. The rooms are well appointed, the service was excellent and the breakfast was outstanding (offerings and service). Highly recommended. My only suggestion would be to incorporate windows (with bug screens perhaps?) into the doors that open into the courtyard, both for fresh air and to keep the rooms cool.

Fantastic stay at this beautifull hotel. The staff was great and the breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The food at the restaurant was great and we got a free cocktail each evening. They stored our luggage free of charge while being on a 2 day hike. ||The hotel is located in the very beautiful historic district of Cusco.||The room was large, quiet and had a balcony towards the peaceful courtyard.||They have a steam room and heated pool. The massages are great. ||Shout out to Manny, he cared for all of our needs. |
