Casa Cat Ba

This accommodation is absolutely dreamy. I highly recommend it! The breakfasts are fantastic and different every day. The receptionists are perfect — always available and very kind. The room smells wonderful, is spotlessly clean, and offers a breathtaking view of the sea. You can watch an amazing sunset right in front of the hotel. The manager communicates perfectly and quickly via WhatsApp, and all our requests were always fulfilled. If you want to find yourself in paradise, this hotel is the ideal choice.

I booked Casa Cat Ba for 3 nights for a friend’s wedding on the island and it was the best experience I’ve had as a hotel guest. Beautiful views of the Gulf from the balcony/room and very close to everything. A lot of the newer hotels on Holbox are on the far ends of the island, but Casa Cat Ba is close to the middle and within walking distance from most everything. The room and location were wonderful, but by far the best thing was the service. Sudi (I’m sorry if I’m butchering your name) at the front desk offered to arrange transportation in the morning when I requested early checkout and even gave me a sandwich in a go-to bag since I was leaving before breakfast (which is excellent as well). The staff communicates very well and they made me feel special. I had a few other friends staying in different hotels around the island and I’m very fortunate I chose Casa Cat Ba. It is worth every penny.

Casa Cat is a beautiful hotel ran by women w/ lots of small details that show they care! The bed was soooo comfortable & the location was perfect! You could throw a rock to the ocean from your room but also super close to town. They are also dog friendly & treated my pup so well, but they do not allow you to leave your dog alone in the room. Only downside is it’s a very small hotel & lacks privacy. If you wanna go and vacation and be left alone this is not the place, staff constantly knocking on your door, asking questions & pushing house keeping, even when you put the do not disturb sign! Breakfast is included but you do not get to choose what you eat, a suggestion is have a menu for guest. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Casa Cat Ba for an off season holiday, and loved it so much that we extended our stay. The hotel is tranquil and tucked away, but still close to all the restaurants, bars, and activities. Perfect spot for sunset viewing, and the terrace in the top room is phenomenal. The staff are exceptional as well as friendly, and as it is a small hotel you always feel like you have the place to yourself. Cannot wait to go back at some point.

Incredible boutique stay in Hotbox! Quiet, comfortable, ocean views and incredible hosts. Cannot recommend this hotel enough! The rooms are modern, bed is comfortable, property has beds to relax in, a welcome drink is provided and the breakfast is incredible (all local ingredients and they ask preferences). Worth the value!

A wonderful boutique hotel with an even more amazing team! The breakfast was absolutely delightful, it was such a pleasure waking up here every morning. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and they even gave us fantastic recommendations for places to visit beyond Holbox.

We hosted our wedding here in May 2025 and reserved the whole house for the duration of our stay. I can’t say strongly enough how perfect it was, the location, the staff, the aesthetic, everything went exactly as planned. ||Casa Cat Ba is beautifully located on the beach just 5mins walk from Holbox Centre and has all the amenities required for a peaceful and relaxing stay. All rooms are a good size and well appointed. ||In terms of the wedding, we hosted our ceremony on the deck in front of the hotel following by a cocktail hour. All our preparations were supported / organized by Angelina Cardenas and her team as well as the lovely Ivette from Casa Cat Ba.||The attention to detail was brilliant and both teams supported us throughout the planning process with local knowledge, connections with suppliers, and advice to make the day as perfect as it was.||We would highly recommend this hotel as a place for a wedding / celebration as well as a vacation space… we will most certainly be back.
