This is the most beautiful property my wife and I have ever visited. We were supposed to stay for two nights, fell in love instantly with our hosts and their home, and promptly cancelled the rest of our plans to stay for 6 nights. (I’m certain the extra nights were available only because we were visiting in mid-April). We'll be going back often and we can't recommend Casa Colleverde highly enough. Lisa, her adult children, Martina and Mateo, and everyone else who pitched in to make us feel welcome and special are wonderful people. They have an astute sense of balancing being good hosts and giving our family space, which can be tricky with B&Bs. Casa Colleverde is not their main residence so the house feels like it's your own. Their family has lived in the town for several generations so, if you choose, they’ll point you in the right direction to make you feel like a local during your stay. As you can see from the photos, this is a stunning location overlooking the Italian Riviera with great hiking, many great local restaurants (we recommend “Armanda” in Castelnuovo Magra—get the Lettuce en broddo), and nearby attractions: Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence (about a 2 hour drive), wine tasting at small local vineyards (“Terra della Luna”, Carrara quarries where Michelangelo sourced his marble... All that said, it was the photos of the infinity pool that drew us into booking the reservation; we’re so thankful for that photo—it does not disappoint. You’re in for a treat.
