Casa Colores

We stayed here 2 nights and loved it! The manager Mercedes was very helpful and genuinely seemed to care about her guests (she stood out in the rain waiting for us to arrive on the first night). Her activity recommendations were great and she helped us navigate the tides and told us how to go see a baby turtles release. She helped organize a surf lesson, which we enjoyed. The welcome booklet was helpful. The casita was comfy and cute and the pool was inviting. The water was hot, plentiful, and safe to drink. The restaurant next door was delicious! It was a 5 min drive to town and close to the main road, so it was easy to get to. We didn't notice too much road noise. They allowed us to store our bags for a few hours after we checked out. If we come back to Montezuma, we'll stay here again.

Set up a substantial hill from the bustle of Montezuma, Casa Colores is a calm oasis of gardens, pool and casitas. Each cabin is a different colour and of common but individualIzed design: most are one bedroom with two beds, and a few are two bedroom with multiple beds. All have A/ C and excellent wifi. The cabins aren't new but constructed with old hardwoods; they are sparklingly clean and beautifully maintained - polished even. Wildlife abounds with birds, the occasional agouti and iguana, and more birds. The staff are very accommodating and friendly, and the manager and host both speak excellent English. The pool is a blue jewel. The compound is set close to a moderately busy road,so there is a little noise in busy periods but very quiet at night. There is a very nice restaurant within a few steps and a taxi will readily take you into Montezuma or Cobano if you choose not to have your own vehicle. Highly recommended if you want a relaxing holiday with easy access to the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay, beautiful casitas with good interior design, great terrace to relax with comfortable furniture and hammock, beautiful pool; helpful staff. Only a quick drive by car from the beach ;) excellent quality/price ratio!

We were a group of 9 and stayed at 2 different houses. Whenever we needed something they were able to bring us it and accommodate us. The beds were very comfortable, and the appliances were great. Lots of great hikes and beaches around. There is also a lot of wildlife around the houses. The pool was also very relaxing and good. We had a great time!

Great welcome. Nice location close to Montezuma but not in the city (better to be outside if you have a car). There is a new owner of Casacolores since few weeks she is making great changes to the casitas. We had the blue casita very confortable well equipped. Bed was very confortable and clean. |The pool was really nice. I recommend this place

What a great time we had here, beautiful location and view, The owner and staff are amazing, they were so friendly and helpfull, Highly recommend it!

Charming place away from the crowd. Small cabins but well equipped so easy to cook for oneself. Lovely swimming pool. Large and well protected terrasse to observe the gentle creatures in the garden, like iguana, tatou, monkey and agouti. Going to town was relatively easy, either catching a bus going down to Montezuma every 2 hours, although twice we were offered a free ride by locals, or taking a taxi. Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Was a really good choice.

We have just spent ten days at Casacolores and long to go back! The bungalows are spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and accommodating. You can cook your own meals in a quiet, shady comfortable cabin. The pool is clean and easy access from the cabins. The village is a bit too far to walk but we had a friendly taxi driver who was always there to pick us up. The town of Montezuma is eclectic, with engaging people and good restaurants. The porch with its hammock is hard to leave!
