When my father and I decided to go on a road in the classic town of Taal, I felt like it is but fitting to stay in accommodations that blends with the place. Well there are actually a lot of them in Taal, but this place stands out for me for 3 reasons, location, ambiance, and price. As we will be transferring a lot, I imagined that expenses will be incurred, so I had to plan finances. The first 2 reasons: Not the cheapest, but practical, as we got to experience the classical pre-war type of accommodation, but with AC of course, and with breakfast for 2. Though no television, and the adjoining washroom shared with the next room strictly occupied also by 2 persons only, however the price is at mid range. The ambiance brings back old memories when I was still young and was able to experience our grandparents house before it was renovated, it brings so much nostalgia and inspirations. And the "plus" reason is its proximity to the Basilica, that's practically almost in front of the inn, and it's actually in the middle area of the downtown. The municipal bldg, other point of interests, and the market are just few steps away. Some improvements that the owner might want to consider are: 1. Cleanliness of the room, including the washroom 2. Breakfast food selection, only one type, not suited for senior citizens 3. A place to hangout during the night, as they closed the veranda and lights just around 9PM, and I didn't had any place to go to, to write.

Very close to all the heritage places. Breakfast was yummy (the best kapeng barako!) and the host, Ma'am Ima, very accommodating. Only complaint is that the noise of the vehicles echo through my room. Make sure to bring earplugs :)

Had a wedding to attend to at Minor Basilica of St Martin de Tours. Walking distance to the church. It was also a 5-8min drive to the reception venue, Villa Elise. Taal Public Market was also a few meters away. Also has nearby cafes and a restaurant that is a few meters outside, Taal Bistro. They will give a key for the room and the main gate. They have parking but seems like only 2-3 vechiles fit inside. The house itself has a historic design, feels like we were in a provincial house of our ancestors. Had a problem contacting the host, both numbers on Agoda & Facebook were not ringing. Good thing that there was a doorbell located outside the gate.

If you are going to the taal basilica, this is a superb location. It’s 300 meters away , and can easily walk. Casa conchita has parking, which is very limited in the area. Ms Ima was very accommodating and very hospitable 😁 meeting Yolo and other fur babies is a plus 😁

I attended a wedding in this very historical place, Taal, Batangas. I happen to came across this place, and was able to booked an overnight stay in one of their classical rooms. Ms. Ima was warm enough to welcome me along with the very helpful and friendly caretaker, Allan. The place is so quiet, very near to the market, church and plaza, literally! Awesome stay and would definitely be coming back. Thank you Ms. Ima Castro and Allan! Special shoutout to YOLO (French bulldog) and Fluffy (Pomerian) which makes my stay, complete :)

Firstly, booking our family's stay with the awesome host Ms Ima Castro was swift - she took note of the details mindfully and was flexible enough to accommodate some last minute changes. When we arrived there, we were welcomed with a spacious parking, the COVID-safety protocols and then we were showed to the our lovely rooms (family and couple rooms available). The place itself oozes with the warm, familiar ancestral home you got used to growing up, culture-rich and they got to maintain the vintage look and feel while also providing the comforts of airconditioned rooms and spacious common areas. It was like spending vacation in your own house as the host made sure yummy local breakfast of kapeng barako, tapang Taal and newly-cooked

Casa Conchita is conveniently located close to the Basilica and the town centre. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed sitting in gazebo in the evening drinking wine and talking to the owner, who was kind enough to show us his collection of about 200 19th century prints of the Philippines. This was better than visiting a museum! The house is furnished with many Asian and European antiques and artefacts. We would wholeheartedly recommend Casa Conchita as a place to stay.

This was an oasis of peace and homey beauty. Being greeted with a Christmas tree and the kind hosts as well as the friendly Yolo made a fantastic conclusion to my trip to the Philippines. Thank you Ima and team for your kind hospitality and attention to detail.
