The place was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English and Spanish. They were extremely helpful in arranging for transportation out of town and boats to various locations. Breakfast downstairs was also very food. The location has AC, tvs, and a small art store.

Love this little place. Amazing art. We had a great view from our balcony. Breakfast included downstairs. Breast is eggs toast and fresh fruit with fresh juice. My wife and I both enjoyed. . ||Mike did an excellent job and was very helpful. ||Will definitely return. ||~bb

Lovely location, beautiful rooms with a nice view. Airco and mini fridge were nice and welcome in the heat . The only thing really pulling the experience down was the breakfast. The attached restaurant had beautiful lunch and diner options. The breakfast included with the $130 room was to be honest just a joke. Old and stale coffee, a few slices of fruit and some dry toasted slices of bread with just 1 cup of butter… It more or less diluted the entire experience.

Only tried the restaurant. Good food, nice ambiance (best you could get in Portobelo) service is as all local business mediocre. Still recommend it, just be prepared for SLOW service, begging for water refills, even when there are 3 waiters and only 3 tables with total 10 customers in the entire restaurant

The location of the restaurant, which is also a hotel is directly behind the fort ruins. You dine right by the sea and the ambience is nice. The price for the food and drinks was also good. The service was friendly if not super quick. As a vegetarian it can be tricky to get something to eat on the Caribbean side - not so here. I got a flavourful coconut rice and a green salat with olives and tomatoes. My bf chose the corvina with fries. If you're hungry in Portobelo and fancy decent food in a beautiful setting, then head over to Casa Congo.

The Casa Congo was a delightful surprise—very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated in the style of the Congo (a very nice store highlighting the joyful intricate art of the Congo is located downstairs).. Good beds, high speed internet, mini fridge and spacious balconies with *comfortable* chairs and spectacular views are only some of the positives that await you. The charming and competent Emily can arrange your boat tours or whatever else might be of interest. Boat trips are the main draw to the Portobelo area, but there is some interesting history to be found as well. Tour the Counting House to learn of Portobelo’s importance back in the days of pirates and the great Spanish empire, as well as how the Black Christ wound up in Portobelo. |The restaurant is also a cut above the usual. I highly recommend the fresh fish and specialty salads. They also have espresso!

Everything was great from start to finish. Very friendly host, we were offered an upgrade for free. Comfortable beds and very tasty breakfast. We had a very good dinner at the restaurant as well. The location is central. No hesitation in recommending. |Water pressure in the bathrooms could be better, and the wi-fi was slightly patchy.

A gem in the rough. This hotel is really a great place, with terrific views, a fabulous restaurant and unbelievable arts and craft displays.|Emily the manager is very attentive, but not overbearing. The rooms are well appointed and the overall experience was a good one.
