A nice place to stay in the area. The room was spacious with a nice view that included breakfast. I read some complaints about the breakfast but I have to say it was plenty of food. The continental version had eggs, some kind of bread, a plate of fruit, coffee, juice and water. The staff were all very nice and helpful, the boat excursion was great and included stops at a few local beaches, I will come back to do this again. There is a small town a few blocks from the hotel which was fun to explore and had a few fondas where you can grab a meal and a mini super if you have the need.

Adorable small hotel (3 or 4 rooms) and a decent restaurant. The small gift shop sells items produced by local artisan with a strong Afro Caribbean influence. My only complaint is the cost was a bit more than justified by the room . One correction. Another review dissed the morning breakfast offering. We found it quit good - fresh fruit, eggs, juice, coffee, and a homemade biscuit. We added a side dish of sausage guisasa (tomato based sauce) which was very good.

The hotel front towards the sea is great to have breakfast. We also arranged for Juan to pick us up by boat directly at the hotel and bring us at Playa Huerta across the bay.|Portobelo was very lively during Carnaval and we were one of the few tourists enjoying the scene. Hotel is located between the two fortress and one can simply walk there.|There is an ATM at the police station with diving centre 100 m away.

The hotel room was very good. Spacious rooms with bay view, clean, air-conditioned; it even had a small kitchenette.. People were really nice, too.|The only thing we could not understand was the breakfast. Advertised on booking as "very good breakfast included" were were quite surprised to be given 2 slices of toast, jam which wasn't even enough to cover both slices and a few pieces of fruit.|They charge >$130 per night! In literally every hotel in our 2-week trip we got an egg and a bit of ham and/or cheese included with the breakfast. Only in this one which was the most expensive we did not.|Change this, and it is a 5-Star experience.

The place was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English and Spanish. They were extremely helpful in arranging for transportation out of town and boats to various locations. Breakfast downstairs was also very food. The location has AC, tvs, and a small art store.

Lovely location, beautiful rooms with a nice view. Airco and mini fridge were nice and welcome in the heat . The only thing really pulling the experience down was the breakfast. The attached restaurant had beautiful lunch and diner options. The breakfast included with the $130 room was to be honest just a joke. Old and stale coffee, a few slices of fruit and some dry toasted slices of bread with just 1 cup of butter… It more or less diluted the entire experience.

Everything was great from start to finish. Very friendly host, we were offered an upgrade for free. Comfortable beds and very tasty breakfast. We had a very good dinner at the restaurant as well. The location is central. No hesitation in recommending. |Water pressure in the bathrooms could be better, and the wi-fi was slightly patchy.
