Charming Family-Owned Village Hotel. Family-owned hotel in villages offer a unique and heartwarming experience. From cozy, locally inspired decor to personalized hospitality, every detail makes you feel at home. The owners often go above and beyond, sharing homemade meals, village stories, and insider tips. Fabulous small family hotel located in the beautiful hamlet of Piódão. The rooms are small, with en-suite bathroom, facing the river and the village. The view is fabulous. The lady running the hotel is very friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast is included, and served in what seems like the family's beautiful dining-room, also with a view towards the river. Breakfast included a great selection of local cheese, ham and sausage, home-made marmelades, a selection of breads, coffee and teas, juice and fruits. A very nice start of the day! I can highly recommend this fabulous little hotel!

Piadao is a super special town. And Casa da Padaria a special and lovely place to stay. The drive is a magical and hair-raising one at the same time (particularly with the crazy taxi drivers who don’t slow on a one lane road). But worth the trip. Casa da Padaria is a 3 level converted bakery, incredibly maintained with old trinkets and high ceilings and beautiful breakfast room. I’d also highly recommend sitting in the garden and relaxing – just up the stairs to the right of the house – very tranquil. All rooms are on the 3rd floor and most overlook the mountain and village – it’s amazing to wake up in the morning to blue sky at 7am and then watch the mist roll in and out for the next two hours – captivating and mystic. The rooms are on the large side with the shower has great hot water and pressure. ||||Dona Goreti welcomed us warmly both when we arrived and everytime we went back to the Casa – she is one lovely and special lady – happy to help and with a beautiful smile. I had requested a quiet room and she was happy to oblige with Room 4 - wonderfully quiet. The village square has free parking (as does the road leading to the village) and is about a 2 to 3 minute walk to the hotel which is in a super quiet spot overlooking the town and valley. My husband took his suitcase but I took only what I needed in my backpack (recommended). The majority of cafes are located in the square near the beautiful church. ||||Breakfast was served listening to relaxing music in the dining room. The coffee was excellent together with the home made bread plus cheese, salami, ham, jam, tea, coffee, juice water and cakes. A lovely way to start the day.

We loved the Casa da Padaria. It was charming and very clean, and the hosts were very gracious. A highlight was the wonderful breakfast buffet with homemade cakes and jams and local cheeses and meats. Piodão is difficult to get to, but absolutely worth the journey. We spent two nights there and enjoyed the tranquility of the village. Definitely plan to hike and take a swim in the refreshing praia fluvial!

In the small village of Piodao, really fascinating because it is a sort of back to past place, this house can guest people in very comfortable and cleaned rooms. You can have all the necessary stuff and services. Rooms perfectly represent the mountain chalet spirit and they give you the right sense of relax. The property is kind and i appreciated her effort to give me the best experience possible. She suggested me about the points of interest in the area and more. I have been there alone but it is perfect for couples too. Excellent for the price too.

Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The service, rooms, and breakfast are top notch. For the price, Padaria is hard to beat anywhere. I can't say enough good things about it. The only problem is that the eating establishments is town don't come close to the quality of this place and they really need to step their game up for this to be a high end tourist town.

I think we came the long, hard, slow, way but what a reward it was to be in Casa da Padaria. This is a beautiful house in the stunning little village of Piodao. Right in the village. It is wonderful to be staying there as the people leave at the end of the day. Everything is within a small walk. I must mention the beautiful breakfast full of local specialities. We were also given some great local advise to include a waterfall and old forest in travel route the next day.
