Loved this hostel!!!! The receptionist Leo was really friendly and hospitable and helped us plan different activities during our stay making the hostel feel home-y. Great kitchen appliances, it was really central in faro which was perfect to catch the ferries to the beaches and walk around. Faro itself is really calm which was what we wanted but the pub crawl was a fun way to see the other livelier spots around town at night. The only annoying part is not having keys to the front door so the staff have to be opening the door every time you come back. Overall would 100% stay here again

Had a really great time at this hostel! It's perfect for introverts - you can join activities if you want to - but there is also lots of quiet space you can spend by yourself. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms and beds were spotless. Plus there was amazing coffee in the mornings.

Even thought I only stayed for 2 nights I really enjoyed my time here. The receptionist and staff in general were really kind. The building is so cute and very welcoming, makes you feel at home. Location is very good, lots of restaurants and shops nearby, the port to take the boat to the islands was around 10-15 min walking.

Great location!Cozy «family» dinners for cheap every night at Hostellicious with delicious homemade dishes, wine, sangria at the family barbecue at Casa D’Alagoa (see pictures)Everybody was very respectful in my 6 person female only room, and quiet at night. Made friends with many of them every day during my stay! Lots of places to hang with people both inside and on the patio, beautiful interior Lots of activities with great prices just for people staying at the hostel, like boat tours, hiking, bike rentals, pub crawls every night with hostelliciousBring a padlock with a thick neck, a thinwire padlock doesn’t work for keeping your drawer locked. Sun umbrellas can be rented for like €3!! Took it to the praia de Faro. Just a ten min walk to the port from the hostel, €4 with the ferry, amazing long strip of beaches Faro has my ♡

This is an EXCELLENT hostel (and I’ve stayed at a lot of hostels in my life…). Spotlessly clean, great location, and it has the most comfortable beds out of anywhere I’ve stayed. The staff are kind and friendly and community dinners are a lot of fun :)

I will start with it being my own fault that I prioritized outdoor space to air conditioning. So first if you don't visit in the summer time then this is a lovely place. I was just too hot in my room which caused me not to sleep well. I also felt like the hostel is almost too big to meet people but I appreciated that there was a Whatsapp group and nightly events organized with their sister hostel including a family dinner and nightly pub crawl. The hostel is clean, both the bathroom along with the kitchen, and the lockers are big. The person that did the check in with me didn't give me a tour or explain very much about the hostel but I did notice other receptionists do this. I did like that in my six person mixed room the bathroom was ensuite and only one person could be in it at a time. There was free coffee and sugar as well which I liked. They have a lot of common spaces both indoor and outdoor, including a den with a big TV, but I still have a hard time recommending this hostel as a whole, I am curious if their sister hostel is better.

A really wonderful hostel. My boyfriend and I were bike packing around Portugal, so we stayed at the hostel at the start and end of our trip. We got the double room each time (room 6d and then downstairs room DB). Each were very clean, great comfy bed and spacious. The vibe of the hostel is perfect, and the reception staff are super helpful. Thanks Helene who also helped book a transfer taxi back with our large bike luggage. I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough. We absolutely loved it. Thank you

A very good hostel in faro. It is so spacious and has so much common area like dining, tv room and kitchen. They have fridge, give free coffee, u can cook your food. They have utensils. U need to was your utensils. Thats it . Amazing vibes. Super markets are near by. You can see one dish in my pics. I made that by getting some ingredients from shops near by :-)

Yelp
This hostel provides absolutely no safety at all!! They have small wooden chests in each room where you are supposed to put your things in. However, these chests have so thin metal chains which are to small to slide a lock through them!!! Plus the chains are so delicate it wouldn't be a big deal to remove them! We had things stolen from the room because we weren't able to lock them. The hostel doesn't have any camera surveillance so they weren't even able to find out who entered the room. Watch out, folks, if you want to book this hostel!!! I don't recommend.
