Casa d'Alagoa

I was a guest there for 3 weeks last month - mostly in a room on my own, but some nights in a dorm. I loved this hostel, the nice and helpful staff, the atmosphere, the central location, the group activities they offered. All rooms were very clean, warm enough, and nice - everything was great. (The only detail was the beautiful fish in a small pond in the atrium. It is a stressful place for fish, so I hope they will be removed ..). Special thanks to Rebeca and Patricia who were always nice and really caring while I was lying ill (with a flu) there for weeks. Their extra care made me feel very safe as I was an elderly woman travelling alone in an unknown country. Thank you so much! 🙏

Very nice hotel felt like staying at my home. Staff's were really good and friendly especially Rebeca who helped me to find a place to do hair cut and to find a nice restaurant. Will really come back here on next visit to Portugal.

I slept here 4 nights in a room for 12 people. The rooms, bathrooms, kitchen were all always clean. The kitchen is also well equiped. They organise activities every day. Hostel dinners, puncrawls and even excursions. Very nice to meet new people. If you are looking for a social hostel, this is the place to be. The reception is always open and very helpful.

Met a friend who stayed here. Friendly helpful lady on reception. Lovely hostel with communal areas. So can't rate room as didn't stay here.

Loved this hostel and the city of Faro, the location is great, walking distance to every cool spot in the city, the staff were always nice and helpful, very clean rooms, bathrooms and public areas. Well equipped kitchen, nice terrace, everything was great, the only detail was that the wifi was not reaching my bed properly, no biggie, overall it was a great experience and I will stay there whenever I visit Faro. Special thanks to Giovana who was always very helpful and friendly. And the volunteers Catalina and Adrian that were lovely as well.

To quote a wise poet I once met: "Something something something, somewhere, with someone" Everything about this hostel was great, but for me, it was the staff that made the trip so special, and I want to put a big thanks to; Rachel, Jessica (aka Britney B...), and Patricia. They were so friendly and went above and beyond anything that would be expected of them to make are trip great. The next time I come down to Faro, I will definitely be staying here. Thanks for everything.

Had a very short stay, but wish we'd stayed more. Great vibe, very friendly service and a good hostel culture.
