This place was a pure pleasure from start to finish. It is a modernist building, the interiors restaured with special attention to details. Everything is understated elegance, with a great harmony of colours. I arrived on a hot day and was welcome with cold red fruit tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful and my room was super clean, cool and with a lovely view on the river. The breakfast was served in the cafe area with a delicious selection of both savoury and sweet food. Finally I have to mention the garden with the pool, a great place for relaxing and make a splash !

Such a pleasant and beautiful place. The hotel is artfully designed with modern amenities, great views and perfect location to walk to the old town or newer areas. Breakfast was delicious and in a lovely room overlooking the river. Best of all was the staff, friendly, helpful and went beyond to deal with our missed night (due to flight delays), missing luggage (held it after delivery while we were out), and Rita willingly offered to mail a few forgotten items to our next hotel, and wouldn't let me pay postage. Highly recommend!

Excellent hotel beautifully designed ,we had a lovely room overlooking the swimming pool and rose garden with super comfortable peacock chairs on the patio. Our only very small down point is there were no eggs available one of the 2 mornings we stayed. But overall very helpful staff and would thoroughly recommend.

Only went to the cafe but the terrace was shaded, modern and comfortable - great views of the river. Ham/cheese bocadillo was fresh and light. Good coffee. Too

Nice hostel by the river with perfect room and welcoming staff. The staff taught us where to park our car for free just minutes walk from the hostel. Also, the hostel is just 5 minutes walk from all major tourist spots with nice restaurants nearby. Excellent stay there for two days and just loved the walk by the river before sunset.

Exceptional small friendly hotel a minute walk from the bridge and church. Beautifully appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are small but this is its charm as the hotel hugs the cliff side. The bed was comfortable and king size and our bathroom was beautiful and we loved the little details. Breakfast was simple honest fair which we both enjoyed, with a lovely pot of tea to wash it all down.would definitely recommend if visiting the area and we preferred Amarante to Pinhao for visiting the Douro valley. Pinhao was disappointing

We just had coffee in the beautiful Terrasse. They have lactose free milk, almond milk and Soja. Really good coffee!
