This is the best restaurant we found in Tomar! The food and the service were just superb! 👌👌 We‘d like to send a kind regards to the super funny, curly haired waitress who made our two evenings very special! 👩‍🦱♥️

I was recommended this place in my hotel, I asked if I need to make a reservation, which I was told not. Shoals was nice… Next to come. Jean Pierre came as my server and was attentive and explained the menu. I order the cabrito as a main plate everything was excellent. Please make a reservation!! And enjoy!!

Was highly recommended locally and deserves the high praise. The food was excellent, very well priced and traditional Portuguese cuisine. I had codfish fritters as starter, then black pudding with cabbage as main. Farofais dessert was very light. Plus house red wine. Very good value. Will definitely come back.

Excellent food, great staff and wonderful value for money. Our waitress was new but she did a great job of making us feel welcome and helping to bridge the English/Portugese language gap. Would recommend to anyone in Tomar for an authentic and delicious meal!

Wow! Best cabrito i ever had! Place is very busy, but the food is amazing. Only complaint is they told us a table would be available in 30min. Waited over a hour to be seated.

We just finished a fantastic dinner at Casa das Ratas. Honestly I was a bit skeptical because it is rated lower than some of the other places in town. We walked by and I saw the menu and thought it looked really good and the atmosphere was nice - it wasn’t loud and the lighting was good. We had couvert, appetizers, mains, dessert, a bottle of wine and a glass of port each. Truly everything was really good, there were a bunch of dishes that I hadn’t seen at other Portuguese restaurants and they were all really good. Plus the co-owner Joao was lovely and spent a lot of time talking to us about the wine. Honestly excellent food, delightful hospitality and very reasonable prices
