You can’t go wrong with this place anything you order tastes great plus great customer service. Jessica Falcon the Manager is great she always goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.

If I could rate the service at 11/10 I would! Rosa our waitress was amazing and super attentive, she was very helpful and awesome! It’s our first time here and the portions were awesome and flavor as well. The waitresses were all amazing on helping us get a table even when they were busy.

This place is one of a kind. Its like a hidden gem. Personal preference of mine, the rice had too much Comino spice. I personally dont like Comino, but thats not going to keep me from giving this place a 5 star.

Loved this place. Never been here before so I decided to bring my dad, sister and hubby to try it out. The atmosphere was calm and cozy. No one was at front door as we walked in but didn’t wait long til someone came out to take us to a table. Margaritas were delicious and beer was cold. Plates and utensils were clean. Food was delicious with one exception… the rice had a few hard pieces. That’s the only reason for the missing one star. My dad and sister ordered the ribeye and they loved it. My husband and I had the parillada for 2. I will definitely come back!

First time here. Great Service! Great food! Great atmosphere!You are brought fresh rolls and cornbread with cinnamon butter, and it is to die for. Ordered the chicken fried chicken plate with mashed potatoes and macaroni with cheese. One word. AMAZING! Everything was fresh, and the waitresses were amazing! Wish all restaurants were like this one. We will definitely be coming back!

Super friendly customer service and welcoming vibe. The food was really good and warm. The presentation was also really nice for the decent prices of each item. The tea drinks are a must order-you won't regret it. The beef panchos are really good so I'd recommend trying that. There's also a bar in the corner, good music, and the layout of the restaurant is homey and western-tejano-feel. Overall, our meal was 9/10 because it can always improve and service was exceptional!

When you are in Rio Grande this place is a must the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and it didn't take long. The bar has one of the best margaritas I've had 😋😉

Great food and good prices. I just wish they would bring salsas to the table for parrilladas or panchos. Also, it would be convenient if they had salt and pepper on the tables.

It's not often I get to visit Rio Grande, Texas, so I relied on Yelp to help me out with dinner. Casa de Adobe looked good, so I gave it a try. I must say, I went early, so I had the pick of tables and that was nice. The waitress we had was very helpful and did an excellent job. I had the stuffed jalapeños and a side salad for appetizers. Since Casa de Adobe is a steak house, I had to try a steak. The ribeye was cooked to p(medium rare). My sides were green beans and a sweet potato. Both were perfectly cooked and went well with the steak. I took my time and ate what I could, but there was too much food! It was a great way to unwind from a long day getting to South Texas. This is about the best you will get while in "Rio", every and I mean every restaurant especially the chain restaurants are horrible. How can you mess up at Pizza Hut! Anyhoo, Casa was great, everyone in my party ordered steak. Not too bad for a Mexican restaurant. It was well cooked sides were accompanying and flavorful and most of all the service made you feel welcomed and not rushed. Our waitress was engaging and made sure we were filled on drinks and asked if we needed anything. Presentation a little off but for the area great turn out and taste buds satisfied. Great food and service in a small town.

Deciding to catch up onto this since I've visited this place with my mother lots of years ago, their chicken is delicious, including their cheese fries, oh and the bread? Its delectable. Would recommend to visit if your ever from other states or your just visiting the RGV.

Service was great. The steaks are not the best... they are missing a little something. I was also NOT impressed with the orange shrimp. It was loaded with UNSTIRRED fried broccoli. The appetizer were good though.

What a great place to get a wonderful meal and amazing service. Samantha G. Was my server and she was excellent. Ask for her when you visit this place. The pricing is great for the amount of food you get and I cannot brag enough on the wonderful service. This is a diamond in the rough for sure. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a visit when in the area. There is a great variety of food to select from, not just a steak or Mexican place.

This is my home town fav! I love bringing out of towners here. It's in a cute historical building (perfect for a date) and the food is always great. The chicken fried chicken and chicken friend steak are monstrous!! The 2 for $25 menu is great too! Appetizer, two entrees, and dessert. I really enjoy their margaritas too. The bar is beautiful mesquite with turquoise inlay. It's gorgeous! I've never had bad service here either!

Decent little restaurant in RGC. It's right on the highway so easy to stop at. We had a good chicken fried chicken meal. It was deliciously seasoned and cooked very well. The green beans were good. Overall nice meal and nice location.

This place is so good! I've been a good amount of times and there has never been a time where my food came out bad. I love coming to eat here with my family

Invited for lunch ... very surprised with the food as we had been told place was over priced and the food not the best. w wife and I had shrimp tacos and steak fajita tacos. Fantastic taste and great sides, as well. Our friend ordered steak and was very satisfied. He often eats at this location and is always happy with his meal, hence, the recommendation to eat here. We will return! Update: Lunch two weeks later and a different review. My wife and I both ordered the steak fajita taco plate and were not as impressed. More so with the length of time to get the food. Very slow today. Overall rating: 3-4

Drive 35 miles for an early supper, friends recommend this restaurant!! First of all never go by recommend from people that have no clue what good Mexican food is! Enjoyed the decor, they kept the history, our waiter was very friendly and good service!! I ordered beef fajitas and corn tortillas, the meat was very flavorful but very chewy, reason for 3 stars!! Won't drive that distance again have better closer to home!

Personally, my favorite place to eat in Rio Grande City, try to make it at least once a month. Love the charro beans and the corn bread and slap that butter on it.

Love the decor and atmosphere! The rolls and cornbread are good. The corn tortillas are really good. The mahi-mahi tacos are okay. The guys really liked the sirloins. Very attentive servers!

I have been here in the past and it has always been great. But now not so much. We had to make a reservation because of Covid. I guess you won't get Covid if you make a reservation. Doesn't make sense. We had to wait over an hour on our food and it was terrible. We will not be back. Restaurant had gone down hill.

Charming steakhouse in the middle of the town. Steaks, salads, bacon-wrapped shrimp, enchiladas, fresh veggies, cornbread and cinnamon butter. Delicious chimichangas. Reasonable prices - $7 on up. The decor is Santa Fe-ish with a gorgeous mesquite wood bar embedded with turquoise. The restrooms have the same polished wood and copper sinks. Parts of the original adobe wall exposed and under glass -- hence the name, Casa de Adobe. There are TVs in the dining room but thankfully the volume was off. Classic rock played instead. The service at 1 pm was good.

Let me first start by saying I rarely give anyone 5 stars! This place is the exception! I am not from the area but frequent it due to my job and I always feel a need to come here! I have only had 2 different plates, the salmon (out of this world and only $13) and their steak which is above average, but I have seen other plates that look fantastic that I need to try. I just can't stop ordering the salmon lol. They always bring a complementary basket of bread and butter with cinnamon! Service is always on point and the owner is as nice as can be. The atmosphere is friendly and it is always clean, especially the restrooms. If I lived here I would come at least once a week. You need to give it a try, prices are reasonable and your money will be well spent!!!

I came here one morning with my husband and sister. We were greeted immediately and with a great smile. The food was outstanding and the service was just as great! As a native of Rio Grande City, it makes me so happy to see local business like this one do so well. We will definitely come back!

I asked for a rare steak and they gave me medium. Really? It's common knowledge that you need a hot grill to sear. Grill marks are the least of my concerns. In addition to the overcooked steak there was also a overcooked sweet potato I ordered. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is the waiter. He made sure that we had everything we needed.

This is a local fave! The staff is great and so is the food. I haven't had a bad experience here. Try it!

Great food, service, and clean restaurant, you should stop here when visiting Rio Grande City, i had the chips salsa & queso and a ribe eye steak, sure glad I stopped by there!

Sat down, ordered drinks and food, waited for 2 hours and had to cancel my food order because there was no sign or updates of the order coming out. Multiple parties that had gotten there after us and left before us. Worst service I've received in a while. Also, waitresses had a bit of an attitude. (Btw, this is my first yelp review EVER)

Great food, great service. From the outside, we were a little skeptical, but inside, the building is very nice with fun decor. The menu has many options, ranging from Fettuccine Alfredo to steaks or fajitas. I got the fajitas and though I ate a lot before I thought to take a picture, they were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The tortillas were still hot when I got them and I definitely recommend the charro beans. Others in our party ordered the chicken fried steak, the 6 oz sirloins, and the Maji tacos. They all gave good reports and the prices are pretty good for the amount of food you get. The bathrooms were also very well-kept, and I definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone that lives here or is just passing through.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. Every time I come it's with a large group of people of about 18 or more. With this being said, the service we receive is pretty horrible. The food is good quality, but the historicity horrible service trumps all the good qualities this restaurant has. Routinely it takes a long time for orders to be taken and we wind up having one end of the table getting their food, while the other end hasn't placed their order. The servers don't seem to know how to manage a large group.

We visited Casa de Adobe twice during a work visit to Rio Grande City. Both meals were excellent. The service was fast, courteous, and attentive. I am not a big fan of beef, but their beef was perfectly prepared-juicy and tender. The charro beans were excellent. I would definitely visit again.

it's not that great. Service was mediocre. I asked for a bottle of wine and they brought a box lol jk.. but yeah something like that. I recall asking the waitress for a specific wine and her response was "eeh" as in "que" very inproper. Would not go here again, I rather travel an hour to McAllen and go somewhere else. Place is very charming but they need new management.

Not the best steak I've had. Obviously it was previously frozen. The seasoning was over done and when I asked for medium, well...... Let's just say that my cow was massacred and charred. Never again. Want a real steak? Cook it yourself. I know I am.

One of the very few restaurants in the area that I will eat at. The food is always great as well as the service. I've ordered several different items off their menu and never had a complaint. The chicken fried steak is huge. They have several TV's thru out the restaurant, so it's a great place to go if you want to watch a game

This place is beautiful! From the exterior, bathrooms, bar, and the food. Great place to dine with your family. There was six of us, and each and every meal was delicious. Each dish was displayed beautiful, and had large quantities. I would recommend this place to eat before any others in the Rio Grande City.

What a disappointment, even after confirmation and reservations for made for a family meal after my father's funeral, the service was horrible! they could not keep up with the meal orders, food was still frozen. The wait staff could not keep up with neither the meal tab or the orders. then when we complained the attitude was "well you still go your food"! no amount of advertising will make up for bad services or food" there are No Stars for this establishment.

If you happen to come to Rio, or are (more likely) just passing through, this is the restaurant to come to. A typical steakhouse menu, some fish options, and supplemented by Tex-Mex staples like enchiladas and tacos...nothing special but satisfying and of consistent quality. They also have a bar and make pretty decent (if pricey) cocktails. The real attraction here is the venue; lovingly restored by the owners, this restaurant is a real stand-out as it is housed in a historic building that features mesquite wood accents and the highlighting of brick and beam work. Much of Rio has been taken over - like most of the Valley - by neon signs, strip malls and massive parking lots, so it is quite remarkable when anyone takes the time to restore rather than rebuild in these parts. If you factor this in, it is easily the nicest restaurant in town. I'm writing in the hopes that anyone looking to eat in this sleepy village will stop by and support local business rather than line the pockets of the corporate behemoths of Chili's, Denny's or Pizza Hut up the road.
